Just going to leave a note here- can't address all of you. Doing most of my  typing with 1 hand.

Elaine, I do want to say I am so srry to hear about Evie & my thoughts & prayers go out to all her family. She was such a sweet lady. We will miss her so much.

I really enjoyed the Atlanta concert- Alan did look so terrific in that red Western shirt & his button down the side jeans. I have never been this close- 3rd row of the Pitt- before. Terry, I really enjoyed seeing you again- we must keep meeting like this. BHR, I was so delighted to meet you & sit beside you for the concert. Thanks for letting everyone know why I haven't posted. My husband was leading me by the hand over some grass- it was a very long walk back to the car & I stumbled & he jerked my hand & arm to try to keep me from falling but I went down anyway & it felt like my shoulder was being jerked out of the socket. Saw a shoulder specialist today & thankfully no bones are broken but he said it was a severe strain & would take awhile to heal & I go back to see him in 4 weeks. Thanks for all your well wishes- I'm sure I will completely recover but it will take time.

Hubby thinks we are getting too old to go to these concerts- will have to think about that. I love live music but that fall was a very painful experience. However I must say that of all the venues I've been to this one had by far the longest walk back to the car so may have to pick & choose which venues I can go to.

Just a quick note here, the Tonight Show was great.  I was 5th in line and had 2nd row but on the opposite side of the stage from where Alan performed.  After the show was over Alan, Jay and the other guests stood and talked for a few minutes.  Y'all have to watch tonight for sure.  Waiting for my dinner, so gotta go for now.

Great Terry , will be looking at the Tonight Show in a few minutes. I will look for you ha. It says on the TV schedule menu that Alan talks ..So I guess you know what that means.. Usually at the end of the show..
Glad you made it ok & thanks for posting this.

Harriet,
So glad to see you post but rest up and take it easy..I feel so bad for you after getting row 3  seats I believe you said.
Yes , Alan does look even better in person , up close..I thought you had a meet and Greet... must have been someone else.. oh yes, Louann, wonder how she made it.. haven't read what she thought of Alan..

So sorry about your arm, take care of it. Do not give up on going to Concerts but do like us and choose the Venues you go to. I had my first outdoor just in St Augustine, I never do that, as I have Asthma but it was cool, so I did ok.. We do
try and get seats near Alan if possible, as hubby can't see well back too far..we have not gotten too far back ever..
FanClub tickets are wonderful. at the GOO & Ryman we always get front row or row 2 as we plan it that way..
we take our time and go to the Venue early and get good parking and eat somewhere near.. then go to our seats asap.
Don't stop going now.. just choose a good venue..comfortable..

Get better soon hon, I was excited for you meeting BHR etc..so glad you got to sit together. I am always glad to see
Terry everywhere we go, she comes to talk to us usually as I don't move around much once I'm seated. ha Terry came down and talked to my Sister at MS when I got my M&G. My sister asked where Terry was from and she told me she could not believe she could find Tupelo,MS after flying from CA ha! It's not that big but nice enough. That meet and Greet was
the happiest night of my life..in a long , long time.. Alan looked so nice and it was in a nice room, not outside.. Thank God!

Take care and like you I was so sorry to hear Evie had died, she wrote me on the other board a few times. she had been through a lot already..
Take care Harriet. would therapy not help your shoulder? if so, I would do anything to help it heal faster.. I hope you are not in bad pain, I hate pain medicine and simply wont take strong ones.  They make me sick to my tummy..
So glad you for  you to get to see Alan, I like Black or dark shirts on him better. Red has never been my favorite color, ever ha! but some people love it..I also like Tan shirts on Alan or green , those pretty designer ones..are so nice.
love his Button down the side of calf jeans.. too.He looks great in Anything..Love that photo on here!
Take care and Hope you get to feeling better soon hon.
Hugs, Jerrie

Terry, sorry didn't see you but the cameras didn't seem to span the audience as much this time.I looked for you. They must have run over as usual talking to the others, before the last Girl plugged her new show.

Alan and The StaryHorns looked great and did great! Love that green shirt Alan had on and he looks so great! so handsome. The band looked good too.
all it showed here was the one song and a flash at the end where Jay swooshes out and shakes Alan's hand and says "Hi Buddy" and then it went off here.I wanted to see More ha! Hope you get to see him on Ellen's Show Friday too Terry..
Take care, Jerrie-FL

Harriet I am so glad you had a great time at the concert before you fell. I know what you mean about thinking about going again.  I have fallen getting on buses and off them. In the yards of friends.  If I get to cold my knees lock or I just can't walk right.  When you fall like that sometimes the payback is to much.  I have to get to some place and get warm so I can walk.  Thank God I have my son with me and I have not broken any bones.   I don't know if I will ever get to a concert. In the winter it is cold and it seems most places turn the cold air on May1 and don't turn it off untill the end of Oct. I hope you will keep going and having fun where it is comfortable like Jerrie said.  This staying home all the time can get to you too. IT is not easy  Take Care  nelle   HUGS

Harriet, so glad to see your post.  Glad you enjoyed the concert!
You take care of yourself.   Venue selection is the one reason I haven't see Alan the past couple of years.   So glad he is going to be at an inside venue in Chicago this year.  Hate to give up seeing him anywhere, but sometimes it's a sacrifice we all have to make.
Rest so you can post again soon.

Terry, looked for you in the Leno audience, but didn't see you.  Alan looked & sounded great!!

Evening from Hollywood,

I walked down to where Alan's star will be to see exactly where it is.  It's there, covered up with saw horses and tape around it, right next to Billy Graham and in front of the Hard Rock Cafe.  The road is blocked for a movie shoot and looks like it might be tomorrow too.  A bunch of old race cars on display too.  Alan ought to enjoy seeing those.  There's not much room, only the sidewalk, which is partially blocked by the cars on display, so I plan on going down early in hopes of getting a decent spot to see Alan get his star.  Had a nice lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen, they have great food.  They have some strange pizza's but I've never gotten anything that wasn't delicious.  Had a BLT pizza and brought over half of it back to the hotel.  Thankfully there is a little fridge in the room.  I'm going to meet an AJ fan friend from San Jose for dinner.  It's been a long time since I've been in these neck of the woods and not much has changed, just more people (some you wouldn't believe).

Harriet, hope your shoulder heals quickly. It was good seeing you again.

Elaine, it's nice you are having some decent weather.  It's about 68 here in Hollywood.

Nelle, hope you can see Alan in concert sometime soon.

Happy to see you posting, Harriet and you're welcome. Love the picture. It certainly is much better than the pictures I took. My camera have limited distance/zoom range. I think I'm getting me a new one. Praying your shoulder heals soon. Sorry, I wasn't able to respond to your email last night. We went out to dinner to celebrate Michael's birthday. Couple of hours before we left our internet connection went down and we weren't the only customer that expereinced it. Everyone within the general area where we lived at that have internet service provided by our ISP lost theirs too. When we got back home it was still not working. We finaly got it back this morning. I also have to apologize to you about the email you sent. I actually was reading it from my Blackberry (cellphone) and it won't load up text messages that has graphic background, like the ones you're using. So, all it showed me on the screen is a blank yellow background. I checked the same email from my computer and there it is. It wasn't blank at all and the background wasn't yellow either. Next time I'll check my emails from my computer before I say anything. LOL!

Terry, so sorry to hear about your husband's friend. Praying for him too. Tried to look for you in the audience at the Jay Leno show last night but coldn't find you there either. It's great to have seen you again too. You're so sweet giving Michael the guitar pick. He was thriled when I handed it to him. You made a pre-birthday celebration for him real special. Terry, in Hollywood? I'll believe it. LOL! Sounds like you're really enjoying yourself there. Looking forward to viewing whatever pictures you'll be able to take at the ceremony tomorrow.

LouAnn and Betty, I'm sorry that I had been, unintentionally, rude to both of you at the concert. Harriet and Tammy has sent me their photos so I had been too excited and intent on finding them among the "crowd." Then I saw Terry but  didn't even think about you ladies when I hugged her and just went straight to Harriet. Oh, dear me. LOL! Maybe we'll be at another Alan concert again and if you're both there, just give me a tap on the shoulder or kind of grab my arm or hug me. You will get my full attention, I guarantee you that. LOL!

JeanB, sorry to hear about your wife. Prayers of healing are sent her way. Thanks for your prayers for my niece.

JeanAZ, yes, indeed, baseball season is here! Loving it too.

Kathy, my hubby is contemplating on retirement now too. He only have 4 or 5 more years to get the full benefit but he's thinking on retiring within the next 2 years. We'll see. . .

Elaine, Sue, Sharon, Tammy and everyone else reading this, Hello! to you all.

I don't think I'm having the seasonal allergy anymore. I now have a nasty case of cough and cold. . .again. I probably ought to see my doctor for some meds instead of taking the over the counter stuff. Might make me feel a lot better. I have just updated the thread on prayers for my niece. She's not making any improvement and is still lying unconscious in the ICU. Please read my new update for more details on her condition. Thanks all of you again so much for caring and being concerned for her and for all the prayers you have given her. Please continue praying for her.

Take care all and HUGS.

BHR

Terry,
Sounds like a perfect spot for Alan's Star..So glad you made it ok and enjoying some time to rest up.
By Billy GraHam's Star and in front of The Hard Rock Cafe, sounds good.
I can't wait to hear about it all , our son is coming this Saturday to see his Dad but I hope to see what happened etc.
Thanks for posting..
Jerrie
Harriet, I hope you feel better now but if your shoulder is still hurting, my sister said the therapist put some cream on hers
called Bio-Freeze and the next morning it didn't hurt at all. He was working where Mom was( before) and just told her what to get, it's like blue icey stuff and doesn't smell much..It really did help.Feel better soon. Got to get in bed, so much to do with our son coming. I had to get sunglases yesterday, so I picked some that looked the best, never knowing they were so expensive..Found out they were Prada's lol..Died of shock at the expense.I got contacts also, so I'm getting set for the next Alan concert!!! if hubby gets better soon...more tests and a biopsy or possible of the thyroid.. next.. if the tests shows it has grown any..still treating the pancreas too.My husband doesn't look his age at all, The Dr could not believe he was that old LOL. His hair is not gray much.. and he used to fight in the Military, so he still has muscles. never overweight until this diabetes. This Dr is managing that now also, and it's doing much better,He is a specialist and going to a nutritionist too & testing more.New drugs now for it and he isn't on insulin. maybe we will get out of the Drs office soon LOL
Take care everyone and do not fall, that is how Most people get in serious condition, so Harriet, see your Dr and Lets get out and get in shape and never get old ha! I was worried about my hubby but he is better now, thanks for your Prayers Guys! Guess I'll have to use the treadmill because of the pollen for now. Take care seriously. Jean/b I hope your wife is better also. it takes time to heal at times.Take care and God Bless, Jerrie

Morning Y'all,
Glad you were able to post Harriet.  You have had one thing after another in the last few months, haven't you.  The fall sounds rough, but glad you didn't break anything.
Terry, sounds like you are having a great time in LA.  I watched the Tonight show, but didn't see you either.  Hope you get close to the "Star" and the "Star, AJ" today.  Did you get to go to the Ellen Show?  I've got my DVR set for it.
I'm going up to Charlotte today and seeing "Jersey Boys" tomorrow at the matinee show with friends.  We were gonna spend two nights, but changed our plans.  I'm glad, didn't really want to miss Church Sunday.
Elaine, how are you doing?  Where did Evie live?  Had you ever met her?
Our bowling team came in First for the second half.  We will have a roll off before the banquet, to see who wins first.  Either way, we will be in the top two!!! I bowled pretty good last night also.
I ordered the door poster, star replica, and some magnets from the store yesterday.  They have some neat new stuff in the store.
BHR, continuing to pray for your niece.
Hello to all the AJ fans out there.
Gonna go pack, y'all have a good weekend.

Hello Friends. Still typing with the left hand so can't leave a long post. it does seem like I have had 1 thing after another. Good progress with healing from the dental work but the shoulder is still giving me lots of trouble so haven't been online much. Appreciate the well- wishes & concern from all of you. You are a great bunch of people.
