HAPPY DAY MY FRIENDS!!!  JUST GOT A MARVELOUS CALL FROM MY GRANDSON JOHN, AND MY GREAT-GRANDAUGHTER EMMA JEAN, ARRIVED SAFELY THIS MORNING AT 4.AM, BABY, MOM, AND DAD ALL DOING BEAUIFULLY!  SHE IS 7LB, 12OZS.  SOME OF YOU MAY RECALL SENDING YOUR WONDERFUL MESSAGES TO JOHN WHILE HE WAS SERVING IN BOTH IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, BEGORE RETURNING HOME.   EMMA JEAN JOINS  HER BROTHER TRISTAN ALEXANDER, WHO IS 2.  JOHN WILL BE A VERY SPECIAL FATHER FOR A LITTLE GIRL, AND HE SAID "SHE ALREADY HAS ME WRAPPED AROUND HER FINGER".  YOU KNOW, I ALWAYS THINK ALL MEN TAKE PRIDE IN SONS, BUT IT IS THE SPECIAL MEN WHO HAVE THAT TENDER CONNECTION WITH THEIR GIRLS.  I WAS SO BLESSED, MYSELF, AND I JUST KNOW EMMA WILL BE, TOO.
ENJOYED THE ACM AWARDS AS A SHOW LAST EVENING.  WHAT BEAUTIFUL YOUNG WOMEN PRESENTLY IN COUNTRY MUSIC, BUT I SO MISSED ALAN.  ALWAYS ENJOY BRAD PAISLEY, THO, AND BROOKS AND DUNN.
NOW, I HOPE THIS BIT OF NEWS WILL MAKE ALL OF YOU SMILE A BIT, WHO WAS IT SAID "EVERY TIME A BABY IS BORN, IT MEANS GOD HASN'T GIVEN UP ON US YET!!!"  SO DON'T GIVE UP ON ME!
GET WELL, BE WELL, AND STAY WELL....

Our Son is visiting this week, so no time to address everyone sorry. Harriet I hope you get better soon. thinking of you & prayers. Jean/AZ so glad to hear about your wonderful time with family and you enjoy every moment.. sounds wonderful!
You are a GodSend!
No time to read back but I enjoyed the awards. I am so proud for Carrie!!  I love the Song" Temporary Home" , so happy for Brad , he was touched & cried,  Also Brooks & Dunn too. They seemed really touched. It was a good show & I feel the best there won but I missed Alan, so much..I knew he was busy in CA earlier, but it would have been nice. Did you guys notice all the happy married Couples on screen during a song, one was Alan & Denise, so I was happy for that..People visiting so I can't remember the Song or who did it. lol.. my house was full, as my daughter came over to visit her brother.

Got to get busy & go out to eat now. Take care Everyone and God Bless, Jerrie

PS-Elaine and Terry , Louann and Kathy many others, thinking of you. Jean/B  Hope you are not affected by the ash too much but it is over there on the map here.
Gotta run now. So proud of Alan , win awards or not, he is the BEST in Country Music. Brad and the others who have opened for Alan really say nothing but great things about their admiration for Alan, Carrie does also and Kellie Pickler.
Harriet, get better soon hon!

Congrats, Jean, on the great grandaughter. Your Twins are doing well- in first place right now. Thanks so much to all the rest of you for the kind words & well wishes. It is definitely time to get healthy. We did want to take a vacation but now have to wait again. The shoulder specialist told me it would take a long time for this to heal so I am trying to be patient & do what I can. I really enjoyed watching the ACM's but wish Alan could have been nominated. He is truly the greatest male vocalist.

Hello dear Friends,
thanks for all the best wishes for my wife. She's doing fine. She haven't pain anymore. Just when she hit something with her thumb. They take off the plaster bandage saturday. Kine is next.

AJTexasfan, i visited the website of BP MS 150.The ride for MS is SUPER !!!
Video-Link to the MS ride: www.nationalmssociety.org/raceMap.aspx

Are your son and his wife occasionaly cyclists or are they doing this more?
Video-link of the "Tour of Flanders" i rode : www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygDaYPuzA3I

Take a look at the pavements!

Kathy, the step to retirement isn't so big! It's just over one day at another! You gona like it.

Harriet, so sorry about your shoulder. It isn't your year! I hope you'll be better soon. Take care.

Jean Az, CONGRATS great grandma !!! Always nice a new born at the board. Emma Jean ... beautiful name.

Elaine, we have nice Springweather too. I wear just a t-shirt and it's only April.
Enjoy the nice weather in spite of your taxes.

Jerrie, the vulcano ash isn't a problem or danger on land. Only at high altitude. A nightmare for aircrafts when the ash came into the engines. That's the reason that all the airports in West Europe were closed for several days. 25000 Belgians and many more passengers from other nationalities are still waiting for repatriation in the whole world. Most airports are open today only for flights to east and south Europe. Flights to or from the Americas are still canceled. Safety first!
Strange fact is that the ash is invisible. We have a nice blue sky.

BHR, take care of your cold. Still remember your niece in my prayers.

Hello to all i didn't mention. Enjoy Spring and take care my friends.

Jean

Jean/B , I know , I meant about flying w/the ash etc...My nephew is supposed to fly home from war, and they had to fly around to avoid that area.. My husband said when  he flew into Iceland , they had to fly P-3 Orions around it..that was his Military days..before he retired..still works in partly owned corp. He goes in less , since ill poor guy.

Harriet, I do hope you are better.I think of you and hope you are improving. If mine doesn't go away soon, the pain, I see another Dr. My husband took me the last time to Mayo, when I could not walk from vertigo, it was infection in my ears and
kidneys, man I thought I was having a stroke..so we always now go to the BEST Drs anywhere. My sister drove to TN for her cancer check..they have the one of few machines w/ radiation..at a cancer Center..It goes right to the spot..So far her six month check, she was cancer free! Thank God! I have discovered one has to be in charge of their own health now and insist on the best doctors, get second opinons too.Go to specalist for sure. my hubby was seeing his regular doctor
that he had seen for years to deal with his diabetes, but one needs a specialist for this. we now have one and he is much better.Harriet, never be afraid to speak up & get the Best possible doctor.I made the mistake of not doing so w/my asthma and I really got ill. Now it is much better, well as long as I stay in out of this pollen now ,,,

Jean/AZ congrats on the babies...and your family sounds so great! My son was calling his family constantly when here ha!

Got to run, my son is still visiting.,.I cook constantly lol  He goes home soon, but came to help his Dad out some and get the yard ready for a man to take care of it easier..He is a great son.. he has Twins and calls them every night. ha! he lives not far from Franklin & Alan..ha he really gives them plenty of love, I''m so proud of him as a Christan man and father.
sorry to go on & on but it's not bragging, if it's true, , they say.. ha!

Later Friends,Nelle have to say hello to you, you are such a sweet AJ Fan! Hope you are fine, Kathy too & Elaine. All of u
Harriet get better soon.Dizzy & Sue take care too. Sue moving is very stressful but you will love it later.
Jerrie

HI FRIENDS, THOUGHT I JUST POSTED A MESSAGE..AND LO AND BEHOLD IT DIDN'T "TAKE".  DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHY, BUT MY ADVENTURES WITH A COMPUTER THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS HAS BEEN A MESS OF FRUSTRATION AND DARN NEAR TEARS!!  YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN ME TRYING TO MAKE PLANE RESERVATIONS ON LINE YESTERDAY FOR A TRIP IN LATE MAY TO WISCONSIN DELLS AND MY NIECE AND HER HUSBAND, FINALLY ACCOMPLISHED IT....I HOPE...BUT WHERE ARE THE EASY DAYS OF PICKING UP A PHONE, CALLING AN AIRLINE, AND JUST GETTING IT DONE!!!  THEN THIS MORNING WHEN I CALLED BOTH THE BEAUTY SHOP AND THE DENTIST TO MAKE OR RE-SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS, BOTH WERE HAVING COMPUTER PROBLEMS AND NEEDED TO CALL BACK LATER.  SUCH IS OUR WORLD TODAY, SEEMS AS THOUGHT THE "SIMPLER" THEY MAKE THINGS...THE HARDER THEY ARE TO DO!  ENOUGH WHINING.

BUT WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING TODAY, HAD COFFEE ON THE PATIO, AND IT ACTUALLY GOT A BIT CHILLIER, WE WERE IN THE EARLY-90'S YESTERDAY, BUT ARE SUPPOSED TO DROP DOWN AS LOW AS 60 LATER TODAY AND TOMORROW.  THATS OK, WE'LL TAKE EVERY REPRIEVE FROM THE COMING 100'S WE CAN GET.  THE WINTER VISITORS ARE BEGINNING TO LEAVE AND HEAD BACK NORTH, SOON IT WILL BE JUST ME AND THE BIRDS.

AREN'T MY TWINS DOING JUST FINE SO FAR?  CAN'T WAIT TILL AUGUST WHEN I WILL JOIN SONS AND GRANDSONS IN MINNEAPOLIS FOR OUR BASEBALL WEEK-END.  SUCH A BEAUTIFUL NEW OUTDOOR STADIUM THEY BUILT, AND THOUGH I WILL MISS THE OLD "METRODOME", MOSTLY BECAUSE YOU NEVER GOT "RAINED OUT", BUT BASEBALL WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED UNDER THE SUN...AND THE STARS. AND I NOTED THERE ARE LOTS OF RAILINGS ON THE STEPS, A THING THE OLD STADIUM DID NOT HAVE, SO I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MANAGE WITHOUT LEANING ON STURDY GRANDSONS.

HARRIET, I KNOW YOUR SHOULDER WILL HEAL, JUST BE KIND TO IT AND PATIENT, DEAR GIRL.  ITS BEEN 5 YEARS SINCE I TOOK ONE OF MY "GRACEFUL" TUMBLES AND BROKE AND DISLOCATED MIINE, IT WAS A LONG "REHAB", BUT ITS PRETTY DARN GOOD FOR WHAT IT WENT THROUGH.

We are still having wonderful weather.  Sunny & 50's - a great Spring.

JeanAZ - congrats on the new great granddaughter!!  Congrats also on your Twins - glad they are making you happy this year.  My Cubbies are playing at their usual 'low' standard - it's hard to watch, especially when you see all that high-priced 'talent'.

Harriet, hope you are feeling better every day!

Morning ! Our son left for Nashville yesterday ,and I miss him.. He is such a sweet son and good man.. So tall and strong , when he hugs me, he makes me feel like a little girl & I'm tall too ha! He talks so kind and caleld his family constantly.
He missed his boys and his daughter too. he thinks they are the Best in the world.we thought the same about him & His Sis
He trimmed trees in backyard and literally dug up a flower Bulb that had huge roots & we will NOT miss that one..He ,mowed the yard and trimed it up. It looks like heaven now..we have a guy who does it, but this was the first time since winter..I told him we do not expect him to come do this all the time and wont let him. he has a family & is busy
His Dad really appreciated it..He loves his Dad and was afraid he would get out there and do it himself.. so he came to do it.
He is so handsome , when we ate out, I had to fight the girls off him LOL seriously, He was embarrased & didn't encourage it at all. The waitresses were there every two minutes, so I started talking about his Babies, where they could hear lol
I fixed him a cake and other foods to take back with him and gave him money for his family( which he gave back but I sneaked it back to him) ha. It was worth a lot to us and more because he cared about his Dad having to do it and he isn't able now.He goes for his Thyroid test today and looked tired just trying to help our son.. poor Guy.Love him so much..
I hope all you AJ Fan are ok. Elaine I need to spring clean like that too, but I'm getting lazy or is it old LOL

Congrats to the lucky people who got M & Greets! so happy for you! Alan is Super Nice..
Got to run and clean house, and do all my wifey things.( like Elaine) ha
no time to address all now, but take care Everyone and God Bless, Jerrie-FL
Harriet get better soon-Think of you always. So fortunate we both have great Husbands.. it makes all the difference.
