I was shocked to see Roger "Bob" post on FB that he is no longer with Alan.  He will be greatly missed as he made himself approachable to the fans.  At a Meet & Greet I was selected for about 3 years ago he came over to the waiting line & passed out guitar picks.  He is so sweet.  I will always appreciate his music & wish him well but AJ concerts won't be quite the same.

Anyone know the pre-sale password for Alan's show @ Hartman Arena in Park City, KS, on May 1st?
I missed the fan club preferred seating and would like to buy tickets on the venue's website during the pre-sale today & tomorrow but I don't have the password.  Sad

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  I haven't been on this forum in several months but it's good to see familiar names.  And it was so nice to see meet & greet pictures of the ladies who are twins in the newsletter!

Hubby and I saw Alan in concert in Salina, KS, in August.  His concerts keep getting better and better!  We enjoyed fan club seats this time and had seats on the aisle in the 4th row.  It was awesome!

Busy at work with year-end things and looking forward to spending Christmas with our kids, their spouses, and two ornery little grandsons. Smiley  This is the first Christmas since my Mom died in 2010 that I've got some holiday spirit back; Alan's music helps.

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season.  If you are traveling please be safe.  God bless.

I didn't get one either.  Was also wondering who did.  It was a great show though!!  The whole community of Salina seemed to be so proud that they were able to book Alan at the Bicenntenial Center.  We stayed over at the Marriott and were asked several times if we were going to "the concert" and even the next day we were asked if we enjoyed "the concert".  Great job everyone!!

Anyone going to the Salina, KS, show on August 25th?  My hubby and I are and I ordered tickets from the fan club for preferred seating for the first time ever.  Excited to find out where are seats will be!

Merry Christmas to everyone: to Alan and his family, the Strayhorns, the fan club staff, and all the wonderful fans on this board.

I just had to share something with all of you, knowing you would understand.  Over a year-and-a-half ago my 91-year-old mother passed away.  It hit me hard at the time and I was thinking, gosh, you are 58 years old and you are missing your momma!  This week I've been thinking of my Mom a lot, more so than usual.  I don't know if it's the holidays coming up or the fact that our kids and grandkids will be with the other side of the family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but I was feeling extremely low on Tuesday.  So much so that I would get teary-eyed.

What I did was start playing my Alan Jackson CD's (and I have all of them).  I listened to Alan's music in my office at work and in my vehicle driving.  The songs and his voice soothed my soul that day.  The next day I was ready to carry on again.  I've heard many of you say that Alan's music has gotten you through hard days; now I totally understand that feeling.  I cannot explain it but his music will put me in a better place every time.

Thank you Alan.  And may God continue to bless you and your family.  Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday Mr. Jackson.  May the joy your music brings to others be returned to you multiplied.

Totally agree that Alan did the best job on this CD.  I also enjoyed reading the story behind the project in the CD insert.  Glad I ordered a copy.

Just ordered my copy.   Smiley  If you read the article posted on this website you will read that Alan was the first artist asked by Bob Dylan to contribute to this project.  Pretty impressive.

Beautiful video.  Alan & the Strayhorns performed it so well.  Love the tipping of the hat and the credit to his band.  True southern gentleman.  One of my all-time favorite songs.

Hello All.  I'm new on this forum, just found it a month or so ago actually.  It's been fun reading the different reviews and stories.  I was lucky enough to win a Meet & Greet for the Tulsa show two weeks ago and I am still in awe of the man.  Just had enough to introduce myself and take the picture.  Everything I wanted to say just flew out of my thoughts when I saw that we were going to be hurried a bit.

I live in Southeast Kansas and we are experiencing beautiful fall weather here right now.  Such a relief after the triple digits we endure most of the summer.

I'm married and have an adult son and daughter, a son-in-law, two handsome grandsons, and a daughter-in-law to be.  The wedding is next May in Kansas City.  Hope to make some new friends here.  Have a great day everyone!
