Hi to my favorite AJ fans:
Weekends go by so quickly.  We went out Friday night dancing and dining.
Saturday, I took care of my nine month grandbaby.  This nana was a happy gal!
The three year old slept, he had a sleep over with his cousins the night before.
It's been another wild week at school, our principal has been put on leave and we are not
given any reasons.  So you can imagine the speculation going on.  We are in
shock.  Bad timing for me as we were working together getting I Love to read month up and running
and working on the summer school changes.
Conferences on Thursday.
Sharon, good news about your granddaughter.
Flying to Arizona Friday to see my parents for the weekend.
Next month going to Florida to see Jana during spring break and
work on wedding plans.
Stay safe all.
Sue
Take care

Sue sorry your principle was put on leave
without letting you all know what was
going. That is a good way to start rumors.
Enjoy your trip to see your parents.
It is cold this morning.ONly 17. Have my
sil and her mom coming over this afternoon.
Her dad passed away on the 19 of Dec.

Hi to all my AJ friends.
Spent a busy weekend cooking for my oldest son's birthday.  I always make homemade calzones and homemade marinara sauce for their birthdays.  We had some friends for dinner also, so it's a busy day of assembling and cooking.   Add in a cake and I was tired by the end of the day.  Then my son asked if I could make some more calzones for him to take to work for the people who work for him (9 in all), so I made more calzones on Sunday for him to take.  He doesn't ask for a lot so I didn't mind, but it's a lot of work!  Can't wait to hear what they thought of them.

Went to the post office and the grocery store this morning AND so did everyone else!  All they have to do is say there is a storm coming and everyone stocks up.  Can't blame them, that's what I was doing.  I stood in line for 20-25 minutes - the place was packed and they had lots of check-out people, but it took forever.  At least when I got to the front, I could look at AJ on the cover of CW while I was waiting!
We are supposed to get about 12 inches of snow, I'm just glad we are not in line for the ice storm further South - I don't like the icy stuff.   Stay safe if you are in the line of these storms!!

Sue, hope you trips are unaffected by these storms.  Safe travels!

Kathy, I just heard on the news that the storm will affect 2/3 of the country with snow from the Midwest to the Northeast & rain & thunderstorms in the South.

Everyone be safe wherever you are. January came in like a lion & is going out like a lion.

HI GOOD FRIENDS!  I HAVE TO SHARE WITH YOU A CHEERFUL PHONE CALL I JUST RECEIVED FROM MY GRANDSON JAKE WHO IS STUDYING AT GEORGETOWN UNIV. IN D.C.  HE WAS WALKING HOME TO HIS APARTMENT THRU THE SNOW, AND SINCE HE GREW UP ON THE PLAINS OF SOUTH DAKOTA, IT WAS A LARK.  HE TOLD ME THAT JUST A DAY OR TWO BEFORE DURING A BIG SNOWFALL, ABOUT 300 PEOPLE SHOWED UP IN DUPONT CIRCLE (A PARK IN THE MIDST OF THE CITY MUCH LIKE CENTRAL PARK IN NY), AND A HUGE  SNOW FIGHT BROKE OUT, A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.  I SAY, "THAT'S THE SPIRIT!!  50 YEARS AGO I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO BE IN THE MIDST OF IT.  LEAVE IT TO THE YOUNG TO "TAKE A SAD SONG AND MAKE IT HAPPY", AS THE BEATLES WOULD SAY!

SPEAKING OF SAD SONGS, I AM JUST GRUMPY ENOUGH TO TOTALLY PASS ON THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR.  IS IT POSSIBLE FOR BOTH TEAMS TO LOSE??  MY LOYAL AND BRUISED VIKING HEART WON'T ALLOW ME TO ROOT FOR THE PACKERS, AND I DON'T CARE FOR THE ANTICS OF "BIG BEN".  SO THEY WILL JUST HAVE TO MUDDLE ALONG WITHOUT MY SAGE ADVICE.  SO THERE.

I READ I DELIGHTFUL BOOK, "KEYS TO THE CASTLE" BY DONNA BALL, AND SAW A TRULY MARVELOUS MOVIE THIS WEEK END, "THE KINGS SPEECH".  I LONG AGO GAVE UP ON BOOKS IN THE SO CALLED "ROMANTIC" GENRE, BUT THIS ONE CAUGHT MY EYE, AND WAS A REFRESHING CHANGE FROM THE USUAL.  AND THE MOVIE WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY ACTED BY THE ENTIRE CAST, BUT MY FRIENDS, ANYTIME I CAN PAY TO SEE COLIN FIRTH, I'M THERE.

SUE, I DO HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR BRIEF STAY HERE IN THE DESERT, ITS NOT QUITE AS WARM AS WE ARE USED TO, BUT WHEN I SAY THE TEMPS HAVE PLUNGED INTO THE 60'S , FORGIVE ME!  GLAD TO SHARE OUR SUNSHINE WITH YOU!

TIME TO GO SEE WHAT CALAMITIES AWAIT ME ON THE EVENING NEWS, BUT IN THE MEANTIME, YOU ALL KEEP WELL AND WARM, DRIVE SAFELY AND CAREFULLY, THIS CAN BE SUCH A TREACHEROUS TIME ON THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS.  I SHIVER FROM MEMORY, THINKING ABOUT IT.

Looked every where for him. I normaly close my
bedroom door and this morning I forgot .He went
into my walk in closet and pushed the door shut.
