Hi to all AJ fans....my favorite fans!
Oh we have had quite the winter----extreme cold and snow! It's above ten degrees today and seems warm!
Harriet, awesome news, you are on the mend! You have always been in our prayers. Kathy, Bill was disappointed da Bears didn't win yesterday. Jana's future father in law was thrilled the Packers won. According to Jana he has a room full of Packer memorabilia and he's from out East. Go figure! I miss Martha too----she was so cheerful on here. Remember having her Christmas card ready to go and then the sad news came. Thankful my parents are so well and thriving. Miss my inlaws though. Anita, did you have a nice weekend. Jean-AZ, great winter to be in Arizona. In less than two weeks, I'll be in Arizona for a short weekend visit to see my parents. They are thankful to be missing our winter weather. Jeri- think of your sister and pray for her. Dizzy, stay warm and healthy. You've had some cool florida temps but in Minnesota--those winter temps would feel balmy! Sharon, school closing because of snow......! Elaine, it's tough losing your grandpa......has to touch your heart to know he was so loved by his granddaughter. Life has been very busy at work. Our SP staff increased by 4 new staff members. I'm responsible for the training and paper work. Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Safe warm and safe all. Sue, so great to see your positive posts. Thanks for your comment about my Sister. I should not post negative posts about my Mom, but I miss her . Life goes on..Don't work too hard Sue and hope you like your daughter's beau.. The east is not bad, my parents didn't like me marrying a Yank from MI, My being a southern Belle LOL Later they loved him like a son. Congrats to you on the upcoming marriage..Be glad you still have your parents.. Dad was gone suddenly years ago, I still miss him.I enjoyed Mom until her last breath.I know you miss your inlaws , I do mine too. Sue don't work too hard.. Glad you are visiting your parents soon.I think about you in the cold, we are to get rain & maybe storms in a day or so.. Dizzy are you ready for storms now, it's too cool huh..My lil Neice who had the Brain problem..that was going to be a nurse is doing pretty well after radiation to her brain. she called today & I had to let the recorder get it, I would cry.. she doesn't sound like herself.I will call her later..Sue, she is about your daughter's age.. and so pretty and sweet..so healthy looking. I do hope Alan gets to come to Florida this year, I miss seeing him,..Dizzy, he should come huh..Takecare Everyone and stay well, Jerrie-MS &FL Keep warm Sue![/quote]

Harriet, So good to hear the good report. I know you are relieved and can get back to the "Real World". You've had a long spell with it.
Woke of this morning to snow flurries. It was gone by 10:00, but looked pretty. Sue, down here in the south school closes when it snows. We just aren't prepared for it and it's rare when we get any. Which is fine with me. There is a chance of some snow today, but hopefully we will get the rain and the mountains will get the snow.
My daughter in law's brother in law (her sister's husband)had a heart attack last Thursday. He's 38 yrs. old and had three stints put in over the weekend. He does have hbp, but a shock about the heart attack. You just never know what is gonna happen.
Thinking of all of you.....

SueM, my weekend was great with my new grandson. We had fun babysitting. I know what you mean about being busy at work. I started a new job at the end of November (not by choice) and I am very busy learning (29 weeks of training) and stressed. I am not enjoying it at all. If I had the money to retire now, I would definitely do it. At this age of my life, I don't have the learning curve I used to have and it doesn't help that I don't like doing it. When I come home from work, I am too tired to do anything.
I am looking so forward to seeing AJ next week on Wednesday evening. I took the day off work. It has been very cold here in Canada too, the last few days. It should be milder today.
I wish my parents were still here. I miss them dearly. It is only my husband's mother that is still with us. Today is the anniversary of my father-in-law's passing (13 years ago) and also my stepdaughter, Sarah((9 yrs ago). She was only 20 years old. They are in our thoughts always.

Hello, AJ Friends. We've had slightly less cold weather for a couple of days but it's raining today then here comes the cold front behind the rain. I keep doing well & feeling more normal- such a relief & I appreciate all the well wishes.
Dizzy- Sure hope Alan's Australia Tour goes off without a hitch. Praying for the flood victims.
Kathy- Sorry the Bears met the same fate as my Falcons. I did not like all the criticism of Jay Cutler for staying out of the game after his injury. He did the right thing.
Brenda- Really been cold in Indy.
Jean-AZ-Hope your team can get a good quarterback- do they have some good draft picks?
Sue, It snowed about 7 inches in Atlanta then overnight the temperature plunged & everything froze over to ice. I can drive in snow in my front wheel drive car but nobody is safe driving on ice & we don't have much ice removal equipment like the Northern states. That's why the schools were closed.
Sharon- nice to see you back on the computer. Our kids went back to school Tuesday also.
Jeri-I promise you I am doing my therapy every day at home. Praying for your sister & your niece.
Elaine- I still marvel at your Strength. I hope Jess can cope with her feelings.
Anita- Lost my Mom in '96 & my Dad in 2002 & still miss both of them so much so I understand how you & Jeri feel.

HI FRIENDS, ANOTHER VERY LOVELY DAY HERE, NOT QUITE "MORNING-COFFEE-0N-THE-PATIO" WEATHER YET, THO. AND JUST ABOUT THE TIME MOST OF YOU ARE GLAD TO GET OUTDOORS AND NOT SHOVEL SNOW...WE WILL HAVE TO BE BUTTONING UP FOR A HOT SUMMER!! SO JUST ENJOY WHEREVER YOU ARE. SO DISAPPOINTED IN "DA BEARS" LAST SUNDAY, I LEFT TO MEET SOME FRIENDS IN ABOUT THE 3RD QUARTER OR SO, AND THE PLACE WE MET AT HAD THE GAME ON TV, AND LOTS OF BEAR FANS IN SHIRTS ETC, THERE. I THINK I WILL ACTUALLY SKIP THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR. MY VIKINGS HEART SAYS I CAN'T IN GOOD CONSCIENCE ROOT FOR THE PACKERS...AND NOT A "BIG BEN" FAN AT ALL. HARRIET THE VIKINGS GAVE AWAY A 3RD ROUND DRAFT PICK TO THE NE PATRIOTS FOR RANDY MOSS, THEN LET HIM GO A MONTH LATER. THIS IS THE POWERS THAT BE IN THE VIKINGS ORGANIZATION. LIKE THE PATRIOTS, OF ALL TEAMS, NEED ANOTHER HIGH ROUND PICK! THIS IS THE SAME MINDS THAT HIRED BRET FAVRE BACK...TWICE. I AM STILL RECOVERING FROM THAT. ANYHOW, NEXT YEAR...A NEW COACH, A NEW ATTITUDE, HOPEFULLY, AND SOMEWHERE, SOMEWHERE A QUARTERBACK WHO CAN PLAY THE GAME AND NOT BE AN EMBARRASSMENT, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??? BUT HEY, THE SOUNDS OF BALLS HITTING BATS, SUNSHINE, HOT DOGS AND POPCORN ARE ON THE HORIZON. SPRING TRAINING WILL GET UNDER WAY HERE VERY SHORTLY, FOR ABOUT 13 MAJOR LEAGUE TEAMS. I FOR ONE, CAN'T WAIT TILL MY BELOVED TWINS TAKE THE FIELD AGAIN, DON'T YOU JUST LOVE BASEBALL?? WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT A GAME WHOSE SOUL PURPOSE IS TO ARRIVE SAFELY AT HOME.
I SEE WHERE ONE OF ALAN'S CARS SOLD AT A BIG CAR AUCTION HERE YESTERDAY, I THINK FROM THE DESCRIPTION IT WAS THE CAR THAT COULD GO IN TO THE WATER., TOO. YOU ALL STAY WELL AND WARM, ALWAYS MY ADVICE, BE CAREFUL DRIVING IN THE SNOW ETC, WE WILL GET THRU JANUARY SOON, THEN WE'LL BE WELL ON OUR WAY TO A KINDER SEASON.

Very upset about those Bears - but they did really well this year and I'm proud of them. Outraged with all the flack about Cutler - would rather have him out than risk all of next year with an injury. He's one man on that team -where was the defense on that first Packers drive?

Harriet, So good to hear the good report. I know you are relieved and can get back to the "Real World". You've had a long spell with it. He does have hbp, but a shock about the heart attack. You just never know what is gonna happen.Thinking of all of you.....
Sharon, so sorry about family. My neice's hubbys have both had stints put in after having heart attacks. what is causing all these to take place so young too.. They do not drink that much and eat well. Both thin and tall too. maybe it's heredity. He will be ok I'm sure , they both have been doing great and it's been years..They didn't know they had high bp at all. At least no massive attack & warning can be much better.. it seems the younger are getting heart problems much too early.
Yes Harriet, glad to know you are on the mend.. My Harriet that fell and broke her femur in VA, came home yesterday but a nurse will be with her.. to check her..etc.. she has had therapy some but more to go.. I'm so glad you are improved... Take care in that snow Sharon & do not fall..My harriet was in a Nursing Home, private room for two months, but she crushed her knee also. Her therapy was rough. I know you went through a lot Harriet..so sorry.. Jean/AZ, nice! Yes Alan did have a car that would go into the water. he must be selling all his collection. He gave Zac Brown, the classic Cadillac@ the Bridgestone Arena, where we went to see Alan. nice & generous..Zac was amazed ha! Take care Everyone, Jerrie

Good afternoon AJ Friends, (European time)
Harriet, that's wonderful news you have to tell. Go for it girl. In a few minutes i'll watch the Short-cur-men of the European Championship ice skating. With Kevin.
Elaine, i wish i meeted your husband. I think he past away a few months before our visit.
Anita, have a GOOD TIME wednesday. Is Dan going with you? ... mmm. stupid question i think.
Sharon, so sorry about your relative. 38 is so young. I keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
Saturday we go to a big country & western fair in Den Bosch / The Netherlands. I always love to go there. Many "Fancy Dancers" from USA and Canada and "Western Riding" are the big atraction. And of course country music with Scooter Lee (USA) and several European Country bands.
Hello to everyone ... time for ice skating. lol.
Jean

Jeri I wonder if Alan's new place doesn''t have a garage big enough for all his cars. Jean George was looking forward to meeting you but he passed away a month before you came.Have a great time at the country fair. Enjoy the country music. Cloudy again today. Will be so glad to see some sun. Elaine

2 more inches of snow last night - I'm glad we didn't get what the East Coast got the last couple of days. I know I'm sick of the snow, I'll bet they have had it with all their snow. JeanB - have fun at your country fair.
I think Alan did sell that car that rides into the water, since he only used it on his lake on his property, he probably doesn't have anywhere to ride it at his new house. Not the kind of property that he had at Sweetbriar.

Okay Anita, I'm envious, wish I were going to see AJ! Just can't get enough of that man! Gee it's been since October since I saw him! Enjoy!
Jean/AZ, hubby told me our Panthers coach is going to the Vikings? Our poor Panthers have had a rough couple years.
Busy doing tax forms and end of year stuff. January is a busy month. Really busy when you sit without the computer for 3 weeks.
Thanks for the prayers for Ron. He's home and from what I've heard is doing well. Of course the hospitals send you home so quick now, you don't really know how well someone is doing.
My granddaughter had a good report at Vanderbilt. She is no longer wearing the neck brace. My daughter said her face is still swollen and she is seeing out of her left eye. She'll have plastic surgery after a year. We will be going to see her in March.
Y'all have a great Friday!
