really cold here....Sure glad we got our new A/C and Heater the
last time it was cold it was broke down for good..We had the fire
place and electric heaters that was our saving grace. Don't know

Kathy thank you for your reply and I am sorry I forgot to add your name to my list at the end of my post and those horrible stories I told.
Elaine I am sorry you got more snow and for those sad stories. The whole county is cold and there is snow in many states.

It sure is cold the last couple of days here in Southern Ontario.  We got about 5 inches of snow a few days ago.  They are talking about getting more on Saturday about 4 ins.  I am so looking forward to Spring.  Getting older the less I like the cold.  But then I consider ourselves lucky when I look around and see the weather they are having in Australia and all their flooding and in other parts of the world.

Snowing again today - looks nasty outside.   Glad I don't have to go to work!!   I'm getting cabin fever and it's only January!

Jean thanks for mentioning Martha. I still miss
her. Got a nice letter from her hubby at Christmas time.
He is doing well and now lives in a apartment.
It has gotten much warmer and on the weekend the
snow we were suppose to get was rain. The snow is
going fast.
It is sunny and in the high thirties so far this morning.

HI FRIENDS, AND THANK YOU FOR THE REMEMBRANCE OF MARTHA, JEAN B, WHAT A DEAR PERSON SHE WAS.
I FEEL GUILTY READING SO MANY STORIES OF SUCH BRUTAL WEATHER EVERYWHERE, AND NOT JUST IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, EITHER.  IT IS AT LEAST SNOW FREE HERE IN ARIZONA, THO PERHAPS COLDER THAN NORMAL.  BUT..NO COMPLAINTS.  SOME OF MY FAMILY LIVE UP IN THE NORTHERN PLAINS, AND THEY ARE ENDURING IT, TOUGH COOKIES, ALL! I HAVE SHOVELED MY FAIR SHARE OF SNOW IN MY LIFETIME, AND SLIPPED AND SLID ON ENOUGH ICE TO LAST ME.  I AM GRATEFUL TO BE HERE IN THE WINTER, FOR SURE.
SUCH TRAGIC NEWS IN OUR STATE LATELY, ITS JUST OVERWHELMING.  ISN'T IT SOMETHING THO, HOW MANY KIND, UNSELFISH AND COURAGEOUS PEOPLE THERE ARE WHO DO SUCH MARVELOUS ACTS OF GOODNESS IN THE FACE OF SOMETHING SO TERRIBLE.  GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

HAVE ANY OF YOU CAUGHT THE GE AD USING ALAN'S "GOOD TIME" MUSIC AND LINE DANCERS?  IT MAKES ME SMILE EVERY TIME!  LIKE THAT "E-TRADE" BABY AD, I STOP EVERYTHING TO WATCH AND CHUCKLE.

YOU ALL BE WELL AND WARM AS BEST YOU CAN, JANUARY IS OFTEN KIND OF A DRAG OF A MONTH, BUT I AM ALREADY STARTING TO HEAR MORE BIRDS ABOUT, AND YOU WILL, TOO.

Jean/az- So nice to see you post! Glad you are ok. I have really been touched by the people and tragedy in AZ..I cried.
Our Country always sticks together in times of tragedy, too bad it doesn't linger for longer times, but let's enjoy the Goodness while we have it .. The people have been awesome..I'm still praying for those who lost people and those living, must be horrible to have witnessed this horrid act.. healing will take some time. I pray for them. God bless them all , as you said. so sad..

YES ! Jean , I saw Alan's GE Commercial, it was such fun!!.. such a  nice commercial w/"GOOD TIME"Line dancers! wasn't Barbara in this , do you remember her? the link is under News at the top, if you want to look at it again..in the article.Or
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yql_HGIYV3g

my sister called in Brevard Country and said" they were under a Tornado watch until the7 PM".. she was scared, but said their house withstands 200 mph winds, she doesn't know about tornado's, poor Sis is always so scary.. they were getting articles down, to get in the Pantry, it's in the center of the house and no windows, her house is solid with Beveled glass in LR and she doesn't want to be there .I think they will be ok but one was spotted near.. Dizzy we got rain is all, we are lucky huh..our weather has been so cold this year.. with colds , it may seem colder to us..Goodnight all,
Take care to all of you,, Jerrie-MS

Jerrie I think we have had good weather when you hear about some of the other
parts of the world....I hate to see all this wild water running all over...I hate to
think about tornado's not much warning about them.
