Harriet, if you have wood/log burning fireplace, be careful not to put it on prolonged use should there be power outage. You could be risking carbon monoxide poisoning. Of course, I'm sure you already know that. Just being a little concern. An update: Hubby just got confirmation that the VA Clinic here in Newnan will remain close tomorrow so he'll have another unplanned day off from work.

Sherry, thanks for your concerns. Appreciate it. It's great that you'll see Alan again. I'm happy for you.

Take care, both of you.

Hello everyone,

Sounds it's snowing all over North America. In Belgium we've got many floods because of the melted snow and the rain of the last days. No problem were i live but in the Ardennes three people drowned when they get in the wild flood waters. Very bad but nothing compare at the situation in Queensland/Australia.

Anybody knows "The Harters"? I got a email telling that they are opening Alan Jackson concerts this year.

Be careful in the snow everybody;

Hello everyone,

Jean

Jean/b  , yes I love the Harters "Jenny" Video. Their sound is amazing. I think Alan made a WISE choice with their sound being so great! Here is their latest on CMT;

  http://www.cmt.com/videos/the-harters/609042/if-i-run.jhtml

Ypu may have to copy it in your browser to look but Both Video's are good. If I'm not mistaken, I think they are brothers and sister.Leslie I think is her name & two brothers, Love that mandolin! Enjoy if you see them!

Sounds like the Nashville flood, where you are near but that is terrible.. My son went through the one in Nashville and completely had to have his House re-done Inside and some outside & then the inspectors had to check for mold etc... Lost most of their furniture.( Bisbane, Australia sounds most terrible..and the one near you also..)
but all has been replaced thank God! and Mostly they all are safe & survived..God Is good. Their age 3 son  cried when they went back to the house, after repairs, saying"This is not my house." He knew he could not find his toys etc..Bless him.
Everyone be careful in this ice storms and snow.. we were to go to my sons but we are ill and the weather on the way is too bad.. Harriet, I hope you are ok & all affected by this.. Jerrie-MS  Sunny FL is cold, down to almost freezing last night here.

Happy itis not in your area.
January went on the link.I get so mad as anything new
comes up with "sorry unable to offer this video to
users in your region"  When Alan has a new video it
takes a couple of months beore I can watch it.
It is sunny but cold today.Only 20 this morning.
Glad I don't need to go out side today.

In Ontario, Canada (just east of Toronto) we are suppose to get 5 to 10cm of snow tonight. As of 9:02 pm tonight, nothing has happened.  Maybe we will miss it.

I try to get on this site at least once every evening.  But with my new job I get home two hours later and then I have so much things to do at night that I am having a hard time getting on here.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I hope everyone who plans to attend one of the concerts in either Sudbury, Oshawa or Kingston, Ontario got their tickets.  They just put new tickets on sale for the Oshawa show.  I think these are the ones that they did not sell from the fan club.

Take care everyone.

Elaine, after I wrote that last night, we did get it.  It started around 10 o'clock.  We got about 5 inches too.  The roads were pretty messy this morning.  I hear we are getting more on Saturday.  5 - 10 cm.

Hi everyone, I am so sorry I don't come to this great forum more and I will change that.  I am sorry for the flooding JeanB and for the people that died. Over a week ago we got 29 inches of snow and no plow for 4 days. Four people died because the medics could not get to them, but got stuck in the snow. The one that hurt me the most was a woman called 911 that she was in labor. It was 9 hours before help came and they found her in the hall on the floor. She was trying to walk to a hospital. The baby died it was all to much for it. I feel so sorry for her after 9 months to go through all that and then lose the baby because the streets were not plowed. We had another 9 inches yesterday but they were on top of it this time so the street are okay. I hope all of you that are having snow stay safe.
Elaine congratulatios to your grandchilden and if Georgie needs more snow to play in I can send you some.LOL
I am glad Harriet, BHR and Dizzy are doing better. It seems Harriet that it takes a long time to get your well being back. Those big stores do not help. I hope Terry, Sharon, AJTexasfan, jinx, Leslie, Sue, Jerrie, Anita, Marion, Gwen and everyone I forgot to name, all have a Happy 2011 and stay warm and well.  Take Care   HUGS   nelle

Whoa, Nelle - can't compete with that kind of snow.  I don't think any city or town could keep up with that much.  Sorry to hear those horrible stories.
We got about 5 inches yesterday - it snowed all day, but it was such a pretty snow, just lazily falling from the sky.

Thanks for the link Jerrie. You're right their sound IS amazing. My favorite: "Jenny".
Alan has a "nose" for new talent as openers. After "Zac Brown Band" the "Harters" ... not bad .
