Thanks, Sharon.  I know I go on and on...but I have a need to get it down
and reread it...
It's good to share here with like-minded AJ fans... We need to hear everything
another fan wants to share.

Jeri, I am about to send the club my very edited review. I had to include the
m&g too of course.

Marilyn, thanks for the fantastic review. So happy you finally got a M & G, you deserved it so much.  Wish I hadn't had to cancel coming, missed seeing you.

Yes, Terry, you were missed... your cue cards are part of the show
for Alan, I believe!

Thanks re: the m&g... I'm still floating over that!

Marilyn, what a night!  Sounds like a home run to me!  Great pictures to remember the wonderful time that you had.  Leslie

I was at the concert,    Really liked the new sit down with all the band  and the reveiw  of all the songs,  they bring back memories.                The only thing  I was on 4th row  and security was strict  on not getting to the front   .

Thanks, Leslie.  It is easy to be enthusiastic about Alan and his shows.  Wink
I'm glad you could use the link to see my pics, too.

CARNAHANBI, I'm sorry you were one row away from getting to the stage.
I've been there and done that so I feel your pain.  Alan and his Strayhorns
made the show interesting with the setlist changes and the sitdown. I love
to study liner notes in general and his explaining stories behind the songs
is always interesting to me, too. Even if I've heard them before. Wink
Just to see him so proud of all aspects of the music is so wonderful.

Hi I finally got my computer up and running so I just now got a chance to read all the commments from Champaign. It truely was a special concert. My husband I were celebating out 18th wedding anniversary and treated ourselves to see Alan. We were the two that had the white hard hats. I was at the end of the stage and he came over and said " a hardhat" and signed mine under his name he put "first one." I couldn't beleive it.  I think this was one of the best Alan concerts we'd been too. Everyone was great! Met alot of great people too. Alan has the best fans!

mcbarb,
I'm glad your puter is working now. Wink
I was standing there when Alan took your white hardhat.
He was using my marker...and then I started following along to the other side
of the stage... Then I told the one sec. guard that it was my marker and I
hoped he returned it.  So, he said wait...and I watched as the sec. guy waited
until Alan dropped it.  The man picked it up (he was tall and it was easy for him)
and he handed it right to me.

That sure is nice that you and your husband could celebrate your anniversary
to an AJ concert.  Our anniv. was the wk before the show.
