Sharon,

So sorry about your GD, and hope she will be ok.. prayers for her! Sharon sometimes the Email comes up at the last moment, so look before leaving home. Mine was ther and it shocked me as it came the very day before we were getting ready for the concert. or I checked my Email then on hubby's laptop, lucky we brought it. I was so excited ! Maybe you will get one later..all of you who want one.

Sorry Dizzy wont be able to go, so sorry for she really loves Alan and such a sweet dear Lady, who has gone to see Alan all over including every fanfair.. when he first started. Prayers for Dizzy and her recovery. It takes time as we age..She
has so much energy, it's a shame she will miss this concert. a dear sweet Lady & Mazie too.

Sharon, you enjoy and I got to shake hands with Monty here in St Augustine. he was so sweet & nice.I love his song "Soldier Coming Home", and see why he is such a great back-up Singer..Sounds like everyone got great seats..
come back & tell all about Alan Please...
Oh Yes! Today on my favorite local radio station here locally, "AS She's Walking Away" is now # 24 YeeHaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nelle take care hon and Jean/B how's it going in Belgium? what is the weather like now? I hope you are ok now also.

Harriet, so glad to see you posting some, I worried about you and I was talking about my BIL sister and said to my hubby, "You know what happened to Harriet( her name is harriet also) she fell and broke both hips and wont be home until Christmas or later." he says"My lord,  what else, she was just in the hospital." He thought I was talking about YOU .
she looks so great for her age and beautiful too, hard to imagine her in a NH or in therapy. she has a mansion for a home and can't enjoy it, new too. Harriet, I hope you take care and nothing else comes up.I understand you had enough to deal with and thought of you always..
Falls are my speciality it seems but thank God, no broken bones.Hubby said to me"you must have great bones, as hard as you fell" ha! I really did feel it and took a while to feel well again, but you did well for all you went through. so glad you are better now, and  on the road to complete recovery..
Take care everyone and be careful traveling to see our Big Guy! I would love to see him !
Bless You All and Enjoy, Jerrie-MS
PS-
Oh my ! Claus will soon be coming.. after Thanksgiving! I am not Ready for this.

I got my wonderful Thanksgiving treat in the mail today.  The new CD (no autograph though) and the 2011 calendar.  WOOHOO!  Some new pictures in the calendar (at least ones I haven't seen before) - ALL GORGEOUS!!!

We are having thunderstorms today and it's in the 60's.  That will soon change - they are predicting 30's by Thursday.  AH, gotta love the change of seasons!  LOL

Sharon, continued prayers for your GD - hope she's feeling better every day.
Harriet, it's so nice to have you back on the board on a regular basis.  You've been missed - hope you are feeling better every day too!
JeanB - sorry to hear about all the flooding in Belgium.  Be safe!
Elaine - SNOW!  Not ready for that yet, but I'm sure it's not too far off in the future.  The past couple of years, the beginning of December has been very snowy here.   At least I know I don't have to drive in it to get to work any more!

Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving .Stay safe
on the roads if your traveling.
It is only 10 here .The roads are clear but we
still have about two inches of snow.Kelsey's
team won the valley play off so in two weeks
they go to Prince George for the provincials.
Thanks goodness they are going by bus.I will
still worry about the bad roads.Prince George
is where Alan was last Nov.They have to leave
on a Wed so will go over and stay with Jess.
Georgie will love it as he gets to play with Sisco
and Toby.

HI FRIENDS!  HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WORLD OF BLESSINGS TO COUNT ON THANKSGIVING...AND EVERY DAY.  A FEW WEEKS AGO MY SON-IN-LAW DALE, A PEDESTRIAN,  WAS HIT BY A HIT AND RUN DRIVER WHILE AT A SPORTING EVENT.  BROKE KNEE AND ANKLE QUITE SEVERLEY.  BUT THANK GOODNESS NO HEAD INJURIES, AS HE FLEW INTO THE AIR.  HE HAD SURGERY, AND THEY PUT PLATES IN BOTH, AND HE IS ABLE, JUST LATELY, TO GET AROUND ON JUST ONE CRUTCH,AND THAT WILL SOON BE ABLE TO BE DISCARDED.  HE HAD WONDERFUL SURGEONS, THATS FOR SURE, AND HAS A GREAT SPIRIT AND ATTITUDE HIMSELF, SO WE FEEL SO BLESSED, AND SO GRATEFUL.  AS MY OLDEST SON SAID, "MOM, AS LONG AS HE WAKES UP AND KNOWS WHO HE IS AND WHERE HE IS, WE WON'T COMPLAIN..BONES CAN MEND, BRAINS SOMETIMES CAN'T ".  THE DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND, NO ONE GOT THE LICENSE NUMBER, IT HAPPENED SO FAST OF COURSE, AND IT SHOCKS PEOPLE SO, THE WITNESS'S ONLY CONCERN WAS FOR DALE AND TO GET HELP.  SO...WHILE I AM CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY ON "TURKEY DAY", THE GREATEST CELEBRATION WILL BE FOR DALE AND HIS RECOVERY, ITS A WAYS TO GO YET, BUT HE IS MAKING WONDERFUL PROGRESS.  AND I PRAY EACH AND ALL OF YOU WILL HAVE A BLESSED YEAR TO COME, AREN'T WE FORTUNATE TO HAVE LOVED ONES AROUND US![/b][/color]

Jean/AZ, so sorry to read about your SIL, Dale.  I'm glad he didn't have any brain damage.

When we were leaving the concert the other night, there were some fellows who were drunk as skunks getting into their cars.  Just wish people would drink responsibly and not drive!

Got my 35 Number one cd in the mail today!  yippee!  Got a Let It Be Christmas cd as a bonus!

Went to the dr. this a.m. for a routine check up, and got the pneumonia shot.  The dr. said I was doing fine.....

Y'all have a good night!

Jean-Az, so sorry to hear about your son-in-law, Dale. Prayers and well wishes for him.

Sharon, prayers too for your GD. Glad she's doing fine.

Harriet, Dizzy & Nelle, continued prayers for continued recovery and good health for all of you.

Tammy, wherever you are now, continued safe travels.

JeanB, sorry to hear about your stormy weather and floodings. Prayers for you too.

Just taking a short break from a busy time here. We're getting ready to put up our Christmas tree today. I know, it's a little early. But want to get it done before we travel to my hubby's Mom & Dad's home for a Thanksgiving celebration with his family. . .we'll be gone through the weekend. I'm also finishing up getting all the Christmas cards ready to be mailed before we leave also and wrapping up some gifts. . .we started holiday shopping a little early this year. All these done, we can relax a bit and enjoy the glow of the Christmas tree lights when get back home. We're hoping and praying that we don't get hit again with another disaster Thanksgiving day. . .seriously!

Last year our former neighbors who lived in the apartment above us had flooding situation in their apartment. The hot water hose on their washer ruptured and drained the water from their water heater tank. The water came pouring down to our apartment through the AC/heater vents, sprinkler systems and light fixtures. What a mess! Through all the excitement of emptying/replacing pots/pans and wastebaskets used to catch the dripping waters, the twenty pound turkey we were preparing to cook got left on the kitchen counter too long and it went bad. Our neighbors came down to our apartment and apologized giving hubby $60 and told him to take the family out for a Thanksgiving dinner. We ordered our dinner meal from CB restaurant and hubby picked it up while I tended to the still dripping waters.

In 1981, while my hubby was still in the US Navy and was stationed in Hawaii, a hurricane blew in the island of Oahu where we were living at. It hit the day before Thanksgiving day and as a result there were power outages and shortage of water supply in some areas. Where we were at, people were told not use any gas operating appliances as the pumps for the dam where our water supply is coming from are gas operated. . .gas supply runs out, so does water supply. We have gas stove/oven then so we had quite a dilema as how we'll cook the turkey the next day. We decided to cook it in our barbeque grill. . .took a little longer but it got cooked. Our next door neighbor did the same thing and we shared our Thanksgiving meals with each other. Now, Thanksgiving is upon us again and we worry a bit as we wonder. As I've said, we're hoping and praying everything will turn out fine for us this time.

Ok, I've chatted enough here. Time to get back to the holiday chores. Hello to anyone I had amiss. You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration with your friends and families. To those of you who are traveling, have a safe travel. In honor of this day of thankfulness, PLEASE allow me to THANK ALL OF YOU for the friendships and caring kindness you've given and shown me. It will be forever treasured.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY, EVERYONE!!!!!

JeanAZ - so sorry to hear about your son-in-law.  Prayers go out to your family.

Those thunderstorms yesterday turned into tornadoes.  Our sirens were blasting late yesterday afternoon and it got really dark & quiet outside.  We turned off the computer & watched the news on the TV.  Fortunately no tornadoes by me, but just West & North of us there was a great deal of damage.  My heart goes out to those people affected.  And to top everything off, it has dropped 30 deg over night.  It was in the 60's yesterday and it will only be in the mid-30's today.

Hello, Friends. The weather here is mild but going to get real cold this weekend. I continue to recover slowly but surely- now trying to wean myself off the prescription pain meds. My chest x-ray yesterday looked better & my rt lung is re-expanding more. Having trouble getting my stamina & strength back but it will come back in due time- I have to be patient.

Jean-AZ- Prayers going up for your SIL after his unfortunate accident.

Sharon- Glad you are in good health

Elaine- sorry it is so cold in your area.

Jeri- Glad you weren't talking about me. I think a broken hip would be the last straw.

Nelle- hope you are feeling well.

Hello to Leslie & Dot

Kathy- glad the tonadoes did not come near you. That's always a scary time.

BHR- You sound busy as usual- getting a real early start on Christmas.

Once again, I ate my way through Thanksgiving - but what a way to go!   Leftovers today - even better on the second day, I think.

On to Christmas - will start decorating this weekend and then wrapping presents.  It's so nice to have the extra time this year!

Alan, Harriet, Daisy, Nelle and all others under the weather, hope you are on the road to recovery & feeling better soon.

Thanks for the well wishes for my granddaughter.  Hopefully her eyesight will improve as she heals.
We had a very nice Thanksgiving at my older daughter's.  Got to see our new great grandchildren.  Went shopping on Friday with my daughter, then to a movie with daughter and granddaughter who is home from college.  She had brought a friend home who wasn't able to go home for Thanksgiving.  It was fun to be around them.

South Carolina whupped Clemson last night!  The Gamecocks (USC) looked strong.  I wish them luck next week against Auburn. I really do, but it's hard!!!  They will be facing a "tiger" team again.

Well BHR, I am just impressed with you being so ahead of the game.  I think we may get our Christmas stuff up by next weekend.  I enjoy seeing the lights on the houses, etc.  I'm supposed to go up to Bristol, TN with a group in a couple weeks to see the lights.  I have no idea what to expect.

I did get some shopping done Friday, still have to wrap them.  Christmas parties for the season will start next week!  Whew, a whirl wind month, plus end of the year for the business.  I'll try to take it one day at a time....

Harriet, I'm glad you are improving and so glad you feel like being on the computer so we can hear from you.  Did you watch the UGA play last night?  They won, right?

Dot, sorry about the cancellation of the KY show.  And for the rest of you who were going.  Sure hope Alan is feeling better.

Hello, to everyone else.  The weather here is so-so.  I think it's in the 30's now, but supposed to get in the 50's.  Aren't we having some crazy weather....For any of you who had tornadoes, etc. I'm sorry.

Y'all have a wonderful Sunday.
