Happy June Y'all!

Thanks for starting the thread Harriet, and glad to hear you continue to improve.

I'm leaving for a week road trip to New Mexico with friends next week.  We're going for a friend's daughter's wedding.  Never been west of Biloxi by car, so I'm looking forward to the new sights.

I went to see Zac Brown Friday night.  I won VIP tickets from the radio station (WSSL) and it was fun.  Zac has a Meet & Eat before the show.  Full course dinner by Chef Rusty who travels with the band.  My dil went with me.  They delayed the show about mid stream due to lightening.  We just left, but then heard that they started back up around 10:30.  Oh well, it was still a treat and we both enjoyed ourselves.

Jean/AZ, glad you're back home.  I did hear about the call by the umpire on the perfect game.  I agree, it was handled very well.

Jean/B, I thought Alan was calling me to come join him in his boat!  LOL!  He does look lonely and looks like he's waiting for someone to join him.

Hello to everyone else!

Hello to everyone else!

Congrats on winning tickets to see The Zac Brown Band, I loved seeing him in FL. I will have to try for tickets at my local radio station, but I think they must use speed dial as someone always wins driving in their car ha!
Sharon you be careful when visiting in NM, We did a road trip to TX and the drive seemed to last forever.

Actually Sharon and Jean/B , Alan was calling me. If ALL the Ladies who wanted to be there and Join Alan, the boat would sink LOL
Really I'm postive he's waiting for rest. Does he look happy or what !! Great shot of Alan getting some sun. You Funny Lady Sharon!lol

Love his feet..
You know what they say about the toe, next to the Big toe being longer. Ok so it's just an ole tale.. so back off Sharon LOL j/k You ha! You were the one who led me to the stage to see Alan & get my book Of "Denise's" signed, Thanks! I'll never forget that time!

Jeri, Wed night is the CMT Awards. I think GAC is trying to compete with them. I'm going to watch the CMT Awards. I have Aquapalooza on tape.

Hello, Again, AJ Friends!

Harriet, thanks for starting this month's thread again. Glad to hear you're doing much better and off the strong medication.

Jeri, I hope you won't mind me making couple of corrections on the 2 shows you posted above. On the Aquaplooza concert Alan did, actually it's not re-airing on Wednesday at GAC. They're showing SOUNDSTAGE with Tim McGraw that night. Here's the re-air schedules I just found (I posted these schedules too in the ALAN MUSIC DISCUSSION page):

    * June 07, 2010 5:00 PM ET
    * June 24, 2010 10:00 PM ET
    * June 25, 2010 2:00 AM ET
    * June 25, 2010 10:00 AM ET
    * June 25, 2010 5:00 PM ET

On the CMT Awards Show, Jeri, I don't think Alan will be appearing there. I could be wrong, though. He was not listed as one of the performers or presenters and he was not nominated for any of the award's categories. The director of his "It's Just That Way" music video was for Best Video Director of the Year. I wil record and watch Aquapalooza later but won't be watching the CMT Awards, however, not because Alan was not nominated or is not performing on the show but because I've lost my taste for the kind of country music CMT had always been in support of, especially since the MTV ownership(s) bought CMT (since when are Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Sherryl Crow, to name a few, country?). Just my opinion here. Thanks for giving us all the heads up on the shows, though.

Now that I'm here. . . .  We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with hubby's family. That was also when his Daddy celebrated a birthday and everyone surprised him by being there and giving him a special birthday celebration at a country club restaurant. Hubby played golf with 2 of his siblings and lost 6 balls. . .4 went in the water and the other 2 were "eaten" by the trees. LOL! But they all had fun. Oh, our autistic son drove their cart for the first 3 holes and then lost control of it from hitting the break pedal too hard and nearly hit a tree. That's when one of hubby's siblings took over. Our son had a jolly and the near mishap didn't even phaze him and wanted to drive the cart back after they were done playing. Of course, they didn't allow him but promised him they'll let him do it again for a bit when they play golf again. The following Monday they had planned for a late afternoon BBQ but the rain started pouring so we decided to head back home after lunch as we didn't want to get caught by a storm in the freeway in the dark again. . .not after that scary experience we had. There's another family get together being planned for the 4th of July. It seems like we've been doing a lot of traveling since we moved here in GA. I guess we're making up for those years we couldn't visit hubby's family because we lived too far away from them.

Better get some work done here. You all take care and have a wonderful rest of the new week.

BHR,

Sorry for the mistake but I had a note to watch CMT this wednesday night ON CMT.. Look for Alan( just in case) ha

The other GAC did say the re-peat Aquaplooza concert  would be this wednesday night here( on my cable) it could differ in other cities. My husband agrees GAC said this on the other show. I didn't like that show as well as others I've seen before.The choice of Songs etc.. But anyone in Jax, FL check it out to be sure..

Thanks for correcting. I will not be posting again about time & dates unless I see it written down.. But they did say this here. Sorry for the mistake to you Fans.. Thanks BHR..appreciate it!, Jerrie-FL

Hey, guys, I'm watching the CMT Awards because this show is all about having fun. Ever since it started as the Flameworthy Awards in 2002 it has always been a fun show where nobody takes themselves too seriously. Last year Alan won for Performance Video for his performance on CMT Giants of Country Boy with Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley &  George Strait. I was real happy to see Alan & Friends get that award last year. After all I've been through with this shoulder injury I'm ready for a night of fun & will probably also watch The Aquapalooza Concert- thanks, BHR, for the dates & times. Certainly Aquapalooza was a day of fun. I'm ready for it.

Jeri, I know you've been through a lot. You are not killing the fun. I feel a lot better- just ready for something lighthearted.

Looking forward to the new video. I love the song & my station played it twice today. I request it every day.

Jeri enjoy your visit with your son dil and their
family.Have fun with the twins.
BHR I am like you about the music on these days.
Not much country in most of those singers.
Harriet I haven't heard yet if our CMT is carry
the awards night.
Finally having a nice day.Hot enough for me to
wear shorts.Maybe this will dry out my lawn.It
has been so damp that mushrooms are growing.
Also the snails from the creek are coming up.
Georgie is puzzled by them.Fun to watch him
with them.

Hello, just a quick stop by to say hello.  Last week of school coming up, and the census is almost done.  Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer weather.  We went from having snow two weeks ago to over 100 the past few days.  I'm actually glad I'm not going to fan fair this year, I need a rest...LOL  Although I'll miss seeing everyone.

I also stopped by to ask a favor of those of you who pray.  My oldest daughter, Sheila, had a heart attack this morning and she's only 40.  She is doing better but she actually flat lined in the ambulance.  I have a bad cough from a cold so I don't dare go over to AZ to be with her.  I may have to go get Taylor in a couple days when he comes home from his Dad's.  I called his dad to tell him Sheila wanted to see Taylor and he took him straight to the hospital.  Of course, Taylor was freaking out but he's almost 13 and is handling it alright now.  Thanks in advance to all my great AJ friends for your prayers.

Hugs to all

Terry, glad school and the census are almost over.  Will keep you, your daughter and the rest of the family in my prayers.  I'm confident that she will be fine and that she will have a great year.  Get some rest when you can.  Leslie
