Hi All!
Just taking a moment to let y'all know I'm back home.  We had a great time.  Beth & I traded off the driving so it wasn't too bad on either one of us.  On the way out to Hobbs, NM, we went up to Plano, TX and toured SouthFork.  That's where the outdoor scenes of Dallas were filmed.  They've remodeled the inside to look like the sets of the show.  It was very interesting.  They use the ranch for receptions and special dinners now.  I drove through Dallas to get back onto I-20 and had a wonderful navigator (including the GPS).  Now Atlanta seems like a small town.  Dallas is BIG.  We figured it took us 4 hours to drive from Ft. Worth to the other side of Dallas Sunday coming home on I-20.

Terry, I've already talked with you about Sheila.  Do want you to know she will continue to be in my prayers.  As well as Taylor and your family.

I'm leaving Thursday for a small reunion with a group of friends and will be back Sunday.

I do want to share that we stopped at CB in Tuscaloosa on our way home yesterday.  I was looking at the AJ sale and told the salesgirl I really wanted the display that they had for the merchandise.  She thought I meant the one in the case that was for sale.  I told her no that I was talking about the one that they had to hang up for advertising.  I had called several CB in this area and there were none left.  Surprise, surprise, she had one in the storage room.  So AJ came home with me in the trunk!!!  Made my trip even better!

It is hot here and humid.  A/C is working overtime.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Clemson and USC (Carolina) are both going to the CWS!!!

Sharon, welcome back! Sounds like you had a great travel vacation. Congrats on the AJ ad poster. Wish I had thought of trying to get one from our CB here. They are probably out of it already.

Dizzy, now that's a pleasant way to get a goodnight sleep. . .looking at Alan's pix on the wall before going to sleep. That's got to put a smile on your face everytime. It sure would on mine. LOL!

Caz, WOW! I can't imagine how you can survive that kind of schedule. You're definitely one busy lady. Think of this way, though. After you're done with all that, you'll be reaping what you have worked hard on achieving and all that effort and hard work will be all worth it.

Harriet, glad to hear again that your Physical Therapy this afternoon went well. You just take it easy with that shoulder for a bit longer and don't lose patience.

January, I have not seen you post here in a while. But if you're out there, I have a little something special surprise for you. I'm sure you'll love this one. Go to #46 and enjoy it!

Elaine, didn't know you're such a sports fan. My family and I are into college football, baseball and and a little bit of golf. We occassionaly watch ice hockey and basketball too.

Terry, continued thoughts and prayers for Sheila and your whole family.

I'm having my once every 5 years colonoscopy on Friday so I wil be off my computer both Thursday and Friday, but might be back on Friday evening. Hubby will have a liver ultrasound on Friday also to find out why his liver function has gone a little low. He is also being closely monitored for diabetes. His last and most recent glucouse(sp?) test was a little high. He's watching his sugar, carbohydrates and fat intake now and testing his blood sugar level daily. Please say a little prayer for us. Thanks.

Take care, everyone!

I hope Everyone is fine! Sharon sounds like you had a great trip plus got an AJ photo too, lucky Lady.  Harriet it takes time w/therapy, don't give up unless it worsens. Therapy can do wonders, that is what my sister had, after her fall.
Terry , I hope they find it was stress related and the answers to an attack so very young for your daughter. Prayers to continue for you and family
Caz, you remind me of my neice who is in training to be a nurse..She gets worn out and seems to always be working.Nice
to have you drop in now & then.
Elaine I hope you are doing well. as you can tell I'm not into sports that much except when the children were home we were big jock supporters then ha!WE used to go to Amelia Island where the big tennis players played way back then.
BHR, Alan looks most like # 11 and 12 in person. He is super nice is what makes him so special. He has improved as he ages
both in looks and voice to me. I know what you mean about regular tests for health problems. My husband is still going for them, after his pancreas problem.I told him I think I know what people do when they retire, go to the DR'S offices ha! ha!
I wish you luck w/your tests too, I'm such a big chicken having tests.I avoid them when I should not, at times.
Jean/B I was kidding about the "Toe Theory" maybe not..The ole saying was,  if your toe, next to your Big toe was longer, means you are a great lover..lol You will have to ask Denise that one, not me lol same for women, so no checking toes now ha! Clay's new one seems to grow on you,  as you listen to it. my favorite is "She Wont Be Lonely long."
Jean/A I hope you are doing well also. It's always so nice to read your posts but sounds like you are busy always.
Kathy , you will enjoy your retirement or that is what they keep telling my husband for later. with all these health problems popping up, we may have to get a GPS and me do the driving all over. I will be stopping a  lot along the way, if I drive ha!
Dizzy, you take care, I hope you got back without a  heat stroke in Nashville. I read where it was really hot for the Fest..
Did you get to see Alan.Dizzy my husband made me put Alan's stand up in the closet lol. you are a hoot saying what you said ha! I was thinking of you the day it was so hot here, it said it feels like 108 and I stayed inside..my threadmill just sits too lol. My balance is still not perfect at times, so I don't run as fast now.
Denise may have been there,w/him her photo was on twitter..Geeze I'm following Alan, Clay, Brooks and Dunn, and my radio station and I don't really know what I'm doing lol! Ronnie said he had a sore throat for the Jacksonville Concert. and be with him. would love it if Alan could come to MS bankcorp in the fall would be nice. 13 hrs is not bad to see him. Got to run now and get busy, with hubby home seems like all I do is cook & clean lol. Men!
Talke care Everyone and prayers for Your daughter and  your family, Terry, Harriet too & all who need them
Hugs to Ya! Jerrie-MS & FL

HI FRIENDS, HERE I GO "CATCHING UP" AGAIN!  SEEMS THE OLDER AND SLOWER I GET, THE FASTER TIME GOES!!
HARRIET, WE WELCOMED THE BRAVES TO OUR BEAUTIFUL NEW STADIUM, AND YOU WHOPPED UP ON US!!  I ALWAYS LOVE THE TWINS/BRAVES GAMES, ALWAYS A GOOD CONTEST...THE 91 WORLD SERIES HAS GONE DOWN IN BASEBALL HISTORY AS ONE OF THE VERY BEST EVER.  I SO ADMIRE BOBBY COX, A TRUE GENTLEMAN AND CREDIT TO THE GAME, THE BRAVES WILL MISS HIM.  WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WHEN I VOTE FOR THE ALL-STAR GAME PLAYERS, WHEN I VOTE FOR THE NATIONAL LEAGUE TEAMS, I DIVIDE MY VOTES BETWEEN THE BRAVES AND THE CUBS...BECAUSE ONE OF MY BROTHERS WAS SUCH A LOYAL CUB FAN...IS THERE ANY OTHER  KIND??
GLAD TO SEE THE BLACKHAWKS WIN, WHAT A THRILL FOR THE CITY AND ITS FANS.  DON'T FOLLOW HOCKEY VERY MUCH, BUT MY CHICAGO "KIN" WERE ALL WOUND UP IN IT.  BEEN WATCHING THE BASKETBALL FINALS THO, WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE CELTICS WIN, BUT LA IS PRETTY TOUGH, THATS FOR SURE. IF I DON'T LIKE AN ATHLETE FOR HIS CHARACTER OR BEHAVIOR, I CANNOT ROOT FOR HIM, REGARDLESS OF HIS TALENT.  TALENT AND FAME, A SURE A TEST OF CHARACTER, ISN'T IT.
I HEARD A RACKET OUTSIDE MY DOORS THIS AM...AND IT WAS TREE TRIMMERS HACKING AWAY AT THE BEAUTIFUL PALO VERDE TREE OUTSIDE MY PATIO.  I STOOD AND WATCHED AS THEY CUT, AND CHOPPED AND CARRIED ON WITH EVERY BLADE AT THEIR DISPOSAL.  I KNOW IT KIND OF GOT OVERGROWN, BUT STILL...SO BUSHY AND BEAUTIFUL!!  THEY DIDN'T CUT IT DOWN, OF COURSE, BUT OH, YOU SHOULD SEE THE POOR THING NOW, IT ALMOST LOOKS EMBARRASED TO BE STANDING THERE SO SHORN.  WE SHALL SEE HOW QUICKLY MOTHER NATURE AND THE PALO VERDE COMBINE TO RECOVER BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER.   HEATING LUP PRETTY WELL NOW, IN THE 100'S AGAIN WISH YOU COULD SEE ALL THE DESERT PLANTS THAT BLOOM THROUGH ALL OF THIS, ESPECIALLY IN AND ARAOUND SCOTTSDALE.  NOW THAT'S HARDY!!

TERRY, SO THANKFUL SHIELA IS BACK HOME AND ON THE MEND, WHAT A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL OF YOU.  I WORRY ABOUT MY "YOUNG ONES", TOO, THEY JUGGLE SO MANY PLATES NOW, AND I HATE THE TERM "MULTI-TASKING" ITS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER, IN MY BOOK...THO MOMS HAVE DONE THAT SINCE THE BEGIINING OF TIME!
YOU ALL BE WELL, AND COOL AND TAKING IT ONE THING AT A TIME
.

One more note to Jean-AZ. I love the Twins' new stadium. Our TV announcers were very complimentary of Target Field- really nice & an improvement over the Metrodome but I know you love that old dome. But very nice new ballpark. We are now playing The Tampa Bay Rays, the best team in baseball, & we lost the first game. Now while we're playing first place teams the Mets are playing last place teams- doesn't seem fair but they are now only 1/2 game out of first place & we're just trying  to stay in first place while playing these tough teams. It will probably work out over a long season. I know I seem to be very competitive but that's the nature of sports & I love sports.

Hi all,
Finally have a little time to read tonight.  Miss ya all but life is a bit unpredictable.
Well I'm into three weeks of being homeless and it's a strange lifestyle.
After school was out last week, traveled down to my parent's and spent a few days with them.  It was a great time.  A lot of cards were played.  Then we headed back for Joel's third birthday party.  I stayed the night with Jewels family.  I did the baby night feedings so mom and dad could get  some sleep.  Then in the morning Jewels and her two boys and I headed down to see my parents.  My dad kidded me that I missed home so much I had to return the next day.  Right now I'm pass the point of being tired.  Tomorrow is a rest day for sure.  Hubby loves old cars and the big Back to the Fifties car show is in St. Paul for the weekend.  So he'll spend tomorrow there. He volunteers to work every year.  His shift is Saturday morning.  When his shift is over we'll head on our six week journey.  I'll be waving at ya all as I pass through many of your cities or states.
Harriet, hopefully your physical therapy heals your shoulder.  Pain is so draining.
Jerri,  praying and thinking of you and your hubby.
Terry, great news your daughter is doing
better.  What a scary time for Taylor and your family.
Sharon, congratulations getting your CB ad of Alan.  That's a keepsake for sure.  Made your travel extra memorable.
Elaine, sports are important to my family too.   Enriches one's life.
Jean AZ, the new Twin ball park is beautiful.  Just have to get Joe Mauer hitting a bit better.
It's been a bad afternoon and evening for tornadoes in Minnesota.  Jewels and I just got back to the cities before all the bad weather hit.  She was getting a bit nervous.
Several large tornadoes touched down in Minnesota causing lots of devastation.
I know I missed some AJ fans....hope all is well.  getting tired so sweet dreams.

Hello, AJ Friends,

I won't be answering all your most recent posts right now but would just like to inform you that my colonoscopy went well and I received a clean bill of health, that is, with the exception of an internal hemorrhoid flare up. . .nothing serious. One thing, though, this is the first time I've been given a copy of the images taken of my colon during the procedure and if I didn't know that is my colon I'm looking at I would not have had any idea what those images are of. . .lol! Hubby, meanwhile went through with his liver ultrasound test with no problems. and is now awaiting for a call from our primary care doctor (yes, we have the same one) for the result and follow up visit. Thank you all for your 'good luck' wishes and prayers. Please continue your prayers and keep the positive thoughts for him. Thank you all so much. We both apreciate this very much.

Take care all and HUGS,
BHR

Spent the day helping my oldest son move into a new apartment.  I didn't do any of the heavy lifting, but unpacked boxes & ran the dishwasher a few times.   Stayed for the cable guy and did some dusting - and most important of all, made the lunch run!  LOL  It was a beautiful day, 90's with low humidity and some breeze.  We had some heavy duty storms last night, but thank goodness they cleared out for the move.
My son has the hard part now - unpacking & setting things up the way he likes them.  He'll be home all next week to take care of that.   90% of his boxes are books - loves them & keeps every one!

Loving the new video - I'm playing it in background while I'm typing here and surfing the net.
