Just dropping in here to wish everyone of you[/color] A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and THE MOST BLESSED, PROSPEROUS AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR!

I won't be answering your posts at this time as I continue to get some rest and try to recover from the nasty cold I'm fighting right now and be well enough to travel on Monday to my in-laws' place for the holiday. Our son started this thing then hubby got it and now I got it. Son is dong fine now and hubby is still having a bit of the nasal congestion and coughing. This is a reminiscent, it seems like, of last year. A week before we were to travel to my in-laws' place hubby got the stomach flu, gave it to me and then our son followed suit. We had to postpone our trip for 3 days just to make make sure we were fully recovered before we traveled. Now, here we go again. Geeeez. . . .

Be healthy and stay healthy, everyone! HUGS!

Anita you talking about wrapping hockey sticks reminded
me of all the times I had to find something to wrap them
in.My hubby ,son and sil all played goal. When my hubby lost
a lung to cancer he had to give hockey up.Jess's class was
going skating and she wanted her papa to go with her.He was
like a kid in a candy store to be back on the ice.
Kathy how nice you have the Christmas holidays off.
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jean glad you enjoyed your visit with your boys. What a cool
thing your sons did for you having your named etched in
glass.
Harriet enjoy your early Christmas Sunday.
Sharon how nice your doughters can be hme for Christmas.
The reason I didn't go with Teresa was they were going back
to the same resort. If they had went to a new place I would
have went.
Need to have my hair cut on Friday then I am ready for
Christmas.

Hi AJ Fans,

Brr...still freezing in Belgium. ( -5°C / 18 °F) We got snow yesterday and forecast announce more snow in the weekend.
It's winter !!! I'm looking really forward to the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. The Belgian Bobsleigh Ladies qualified themselfs for the games. The true is that two years ago their wasen't a bobsleigh team at all ! The girls came from swimming, atletic, rowing, shorttrack and rugby (football). But she have a excellent coach from Canada: Sigi Freuser. And she she did a good job.

Hope everybody is in good shape for the holidays.
Be careful on the roads and enjoy...
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!!
Vrolijk Kerstmis & Gelukkig Nieuwjaar !!!

BHR - Hope you will be feeling better soon.

Harriet & Elaine - Have a great Christmas on Sunday

JeanB - Thank you for all your info from Europe.  I will probably start planning my vacation in the new year.  Talking about the Olympics.  They are going through Canada right now with the torch.  They came through our town the evening of the 16th.  What an experience that is.

Today is my day off.  I got a little bit of wrapping left to do. Going out with a friend to an late afternoon matinee to see "Did You Hear About the Morgans? with Hugh Grant and Jessica Parker (Sex in the City)

Well I got to go.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all

Nelle this is the first year I have not had my
kids home for Christmas so it will be very a
different Christmas for me.
Jean congrats on your bobsleigh team.
Sorry to hear your getting lots of snow.
Anita they have a big party planned for the
torch when it comes through here.I want to
see the Morgans it looks like it will be a really
funny movie.
Got a call from Todd last night they will be moving
in the new year .He got a promotion with his job.
They will be four hrs closer to here which is nice.
Todd has to be there for Jan 4.Deb has  to give
notice for her job so they dicided she would stay
three months. That will give them lots of time to find
a new place and for Deb to find a new job.

Went to see the Did You Hear About the Morgans?  It isn't as good as it looks.  I was disappointed.  It might be one you would like to watch when it comes on video.  The humour is not that funny and I usually like Hugh Grant movies.

AJ Fans , sorry I can't address each one  but I'm not up to it.. Thinking of you all. The reason I haven't been online is I was feeling bad about losing Mom but went on to start my decorating anyway.I fell & I ended up in the emergency room and was there about all day.called my husband as he works not far away, he carried me to emergency , it was early AM. They ran a C-Scan and sewed my head up, so I have a nice part of stitches down the middle of my head,.knees look like oranges , so swollen. The heavy box I was carrying added to the weight and made the big gash on my head worse, hitting the door frame edge.I cried I hurt all over but told hubby I was crying about losing my Mother. Big Girls do cry, Reba ha
Got to go back to bed , feel sick after being up so long. All of you MY friends and AJ Fans Have a Wonderful Holiday and I may not be back on until later..Enjoy your Holidays and God Bless You All.Jerrie aka Artsy-FL-MS
My sweet hubby was so scared for me, but he later joked that" Grand ma got run over by a reindeer"lol The Dr Hushed him up.
Love you all and Enjoy your Holidays! Merry Christmas to All! Jerrie
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU-
(EDITED)
So sorry to have posted such depressing news on Christmas. I will be fine, stitches come out today, so the new color for me this Holiday will be black & blue.ha..

" Nelle"I think it was, they told me to use Ice yes for swelling thanks, but you be careful, sorry you have fallen. So Sorry I made you sad.. It was a balance problem from a middle ear infection that caused me to be dizzy. I will see my ear Dr after the Holidays, now they have me on antibiotics.

Sharon You can get Ambesol fast pain relief from the pharmacy, until you see a dentist.. I know you did fine in your performance. I played Mary two or three times and an angel twice years ago in the Church we went to, where Mom's service was. Those were such great memories. The rough part was also the narrator a few times when older ha!
All of you AJ Fans have a wonderful Christmas .Enjoy your Family, and the food and perhaps listen to "Let It Be Christmas"
from Alan's Christmas CD.. It's the crème de la crème, when he sings to us.I love that whole CD
MERRY CHRISTMAS AJ FANS , ALAN, THE STRAYHORN BAND , CINDY & STAFF!!!! God Bless you all , & stay warm! ENJOY!
Love  to All in Christ, Jerrie aka Artsy-FL-MS
PS- Thanks for all your comments and prayers, I so appreciate it ..I was scared Harriet, yes. I always pray for our Troops
and prayers to all of them & their families. My nephew is there. I feel for all of them, as we have been Military & it's rough.

Jeri  God bless you and thank God it was not worse.  Jeri I have fallen many times, but this is not about me it is about you. I will tell you want I was told to do and if you want try it, I hope it helps. Ice is a blessing for the swelling and pain. I would put a few pieces in a paper towel and ice where the pain is and it helps alot. Some say heat, but not the dry pad that you plug in. It is a moist wrap you put in the micro wave for a minute or two, but put something between it and your skin. I had to try each thing because sometimes the heat helped and others the cold. The ice really helps to move your knees, like when I can't bend them I put the ice in the back of the knees and slowly bring my knees towards me. I have arthritis in both knees.  If I could I would take ADVIL GELCAPS to bring the swelling down and for the pain. I can only take TYLENOL GELCAPS because I have an ulcer that was once a bleeding one. It does nothing for the swelling, that is why I turn to ice alot. Alway please Get up slow , walk slow and hold on to something. I feel so sorry for you. I fell twice in the last month. It is the head, like my sinus and your ear ache. The balance is in the head. Please lay down, feet up and the more you do that the faster you will heal and that is all that counts right now. You got hurt so bad I am crying for you. Take Care  YOU SEEM SO NICE AND KIND.  MERRY CHRISMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.  LOVE AND HUGS  nelle

Merry Christmas, AJ Friends. Atlanta is cold & windy but the rain has about gotten out of here. I am so happy this Christmas to be healthy again. Remember the soldiers overseas. My niece is dating a Military Man & he will be at our Christmas Party tomorrow. He has been deployed twice- once to Iran & once to Afghanistan. I met him at Thankgiving & thanked him for his service. My niece has been dating him for 2 years.

Hello  to AnitaMartina & AJTexasfan-enjoy your Christmas.

Oh, Jeri, bless your heart. That was a very traumatic experience for you. Hope you will heal quickly & sorry you're laid up for the holiday period. Hugs. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

Nelle- You give some very good info on ice packs & heat.

Elaine- Hope you will enjoy Christmas & sorry your kids won't be there.

JeanB- Good for your Bobsleigh Team. Looking forward to the Vancouver Olympics- you know I love the Figure Skating.

BHR- Just rest & take it easy. What do you think of this Atlanta weather?

Sharon- we have gotten lots of rain & wind & now it is cold. But there is a possibility of snow for Christmas- a slight possibility.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AJ FANS

I think I might actually be close to being caught up except for wrapping.  Still have a bit of shopping to do tomorrow with Sara.  Boo and Misty will be down on Wednesday and be able to stay for over a week.  Sheila and Taylor will be here Christmas Eve and will be staying until Monday.  I think Taylor will end up staying with us for the remainder of his school vacation since his favorite uncle Boo Boo will be here.  I didn't have the time to send out cards this year.  I had intended to send them to many AJ friends but just ran out of time.  I guess it pays sometimes to procrastinate since I was able to buy a really nice tree Saturday for only $12.50 (they were 75%off).  We usually buy a living tree to plant but just couldn't afford it this year.  It won't go to waste though as we will cut it up for firewood or hubby will use it out in his burn barrel near his shop when it's cold.  We love the smell of a real tree.

There's no way I can address everyone since I've been MIA so long but have tried to read and keep up a little.  I hope to be back in the "loop" after the first of the year.  We will have between 12 and 14 here for dinner on Christmas.

Jerrie, so sorry for your fall and hope you heal quickly.

It's been beautiful here, a little on the cool side, but that's ok, not nearly what most of you have been dealing with.  At least y'all will be getting some nicer weather soon.

If I don't get back here before Christmas, I wish each and everyone of you a safe and peaceful
MERRY CHRISTMAS
