Hi all - seems as most are getting some kind of funky weather - here in Toledo we are getting wind - serious wind - I hate wind.  I am so envious of those who have their shopping done - or near done - I haven't started. Had company for the last 5 days and I am behind.  I really need to get motivated - if the baby comes early I am screwed - I have the other three while Mom recuperates from a C section - LOL.   Elaine, I think of you every time I get to watch Let it be Christmas - thank you so much for sharing - I have passed it on to a few myself.  My best to all this second week of December - stay safe and healthy!

Yes we got our first huge snowfall through the night and it was very windy.  It was not fun driving to work this morning.  The snowplows weren't out yet when I left. It usually takes me 10 minutes.  It took about 1/2 hour.  We had a mix with rain so the snow was very heavy.  At least when I got home my husband had the driveway cleaned, even the part that the snowplows leave at the end of the driveway.  It is usually me that cleans the driveway because my husband is at work when we get the big storms.  Maybe this year will be different.  We are suppose to get a few more centimetres of snow again through the night.

I am nearly done my shopping and then I will have to wrap them.  Christmas will be here and gone before we know it.  At least my husband and I will be off work from the afternoon of Dec 24th to Jan. 4th.  I am looking forward to the time off.

Well I better go and eat dinner and work some more on my AJ Scrapbook.  Talk to you soon.   Everyone have a good evening.

In soutwest/western Michigan we are under a blizzard warning.  Having snow, wind, blowing snow, slippery roads.  Most if not all of the schools are closed including the major universities.  Usual weather here, just need to take more time in traveling and be extra cautious.  Leslie

Gayle - I can't wait to see Let It Be Christmas.  I am looking forward to seeing it.

Leslie - I hope we don't get that by the weekend.  We had very strong winds through the night and it is very cold today.  More snow is on our way but it is only a few centimetres.  North of us, in the cottage country, they are getting dumped on.  We never seem to have it bad enough where they close schools and let us out of work early.  Everywhere around us seems too.

Elaine- you are lucky you are not getting that much.  Don't you usually get alot?

I think this is the beginning of our winter.  I don't mind the snow so much, it is the brisk cold days.

Hi everyone  So sorry about all the snow some of you are getting. We got a little, but the wind and wind chill are the worst.

Elaine congrats to Kelsey getting picked for the volleyball finals and getting on the honor roll. Congrat to Jess too for a job well done. Wow you sure have it cold. We are sitting at the freezing mark. Please don't fall on the ice or snow. Sorry your son had a blizzard.

Harriet I am not sure what instructions helped you but, I am glad they did. I am glad you are all better now.

Jeri I am glad you are feeling better and please know my prayers are with you as you go through these HOLIDAYS with your MOM in heaven. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

January I hope Dil is O.K. as she waits for the baby to come. What a blessing. You too take care.

Take Care JeanB, Anita, Leslie, Kathy, Terry, Dizzy, Gwen, AJTexasfan and everyone I did not mean to forget.  nelle

We didn't get as much snow as was predicted.  Much more to the just to the west of us.   But today we had a high of 11 deg - BRRR.  It was 3 when I went to work this morning and wind!    Winter has definitely arrived!

Most of my shopping if finally done (thanks to the internet).  Now I just have to wrap it and start cooking & baking.

Terry, congrats with your semister being done.

Well my friend and I are going out for dinner tonight, a little bit of shopping and then to a show.  We are going to see Brothers.  It is suppose to be really good.  I do not know who is in it.  Tomorrow my husband and I are going out for dinner, to celebrate both our birthdays.  His was last Saturday and mine is tomorrow.  Then we are going to the show to see Blind Site with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw.  It is suppose to be real good.  I was told to bring Kleenex with me.

The weather here is freezing.  We got no snow today, but up north in Cottage country, Bracebridge, Huntsville and other areas around there in Ontario, Canada  got over 80 cm.  By the end they could get about 100 cm, which is around 3 ft. They closed down in Huntsville.  WOW.  They haven't had that in over 10 years and all at once.  WINTER WONDERLAND.

Well I better be going.  Everyone have a good night and talk to you later.

Have a great time.  Your birthday is the same as my husband!

Jinx47- Birthday wishes to your husband.  I hope he has a great one.  I went to see Brothers last night with my friend.  That was a slow moving movie but I really liked it.  You really feel for the families and anyone who is in the army what they can go through after coming back from places like Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.  We have a son (my stepson) who has been to Afghanistan a couple of times.  He doesn't care to go back.  We hope he never does, but there is a good chance in about a year he might have to go again.  There are two little girls in the movie that play very well.
