HI FRIENDS, A HAPPY, WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU, WHETER YOU CELEBRATE IT AS WE DO HERE, OR NOT!
I WILL TURN 78 THE DAY BEFORE...NEXT YEAR (GOD WILLING AND THE CREEK DON'T RISE, AS THEY SAY) MY BIRTHDAY FALLS ON THANKSGIVING DAY ITSELF...SOMETHING I ALWAYS BRAG ABOUT.

BIGHUSKERED...I ALWAYS ROOT FOR NEBRASKA, TOO...AND WATCHED PARTS OF THEIR GAME ON SATURDAY, AFTER ALL MY YEARS IN SOUTH DAKOTA, NEBRASKA WAS JUST A STEP ACROSS THE BORDER.  ALWAYS ADMIRED TOM OSBORNE SO MUCH WHEN HE WAS COACH, A TRULY CLASSY GENTLEMAN. NOW I'M WATCHING MY MINNESOTA VIKINGS HAVING A REALLY GREAT YEAR, SO FAR, TOO.

I AM HAVING A TOUGH TIME GETTING IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT MY FRIENDS, STILL STUNNED OVER BRITT'S DEATH.  HARD TO HO-HO-HO IN THE FACE OF THAT.

KEEP WELL AND WARM, ALL OF YOU,

Hi to all AJ fans,

Jean, congrats on the news of the great granddaughter how exciting.  I'm thinking Pink!  Hoping for a granddaughter next spring.  But I know it doesn't matter.  Babies are so precious.
Jean, Joe Mauer, a Minnesota lad was named American League MVP!!!  The catcher for the Minnesota Twins.  It's been fun to watch him as he's my kids age.
Harriet and Kathy, wishing you both good health.  Enjoy your vacation.
Sharon you will love Jersey Boys!
Elaine, congrats to Kelsey on winning her tournament.
So glad Thanksgiving is coming.
Bill left for Florida to spend Thanksgiving with Jana and her birthday is Saturday.
Tonight I went out with Jewels, Nick and Joel to Famous Dave's.   Good time.
Take care all and stay healthy.

Good Morning All,
Loved your quote Harriet about Clemson vs. Georgia Tech!

Jean/AZ, happy birthday to you on Wednesday.  And even better that you are gonna be a great grandmother again!  Time flies, doesn't it? I think I was the one that started the error about your son instead of grandson.  Sorry about that.  I have one great granddaughter.  Never thought I would be around for great grandchildren.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, if you're traveling, safe travels to you.

Well, the cabinets and counter tops are ready and are supposed to be delivered and installed today.  I cleaned all my counter tops off and cleaned under the sink so I'm ready for the invasion.  Of course, my dining room table is piled up and I have two boxed full beside it.  This is one way to get things cleaned up isn't it.  Now if I can just keep "Boots" from getting in the way.  He scooted out this morning when Jerry left, we had to shoo him back in the house.  The rest of the day is at my side whichever room I'm in.  What a baby he is.

Don't know if I mentioned that my neck and right shoulder have been hurting.  I really don't have aches and pains that often, but seems like it's been one thing after the other.  Don't know what I did, put some Absorbine on it, and think that's what's causing the burning.  I'll have to see if I've had a reaction to it!!! Drats, the last time I went up to my daughter's I was starting with the shingles.  Praying I'm completely well by Thursday.  Don't know if this is related to it, but I got some foam pillows to replace the feather pillows on the bed.  Seems like my neck began hurting after that.  I was tired of all the feathers slipping out of the pillows!  I have pillow covers and pillow cases on them, but the feathers would leech out and I didn't like that.  Oh well, maybe it's the pillows.

I got the copy of People, the pictures of AJ and his family are so nice and a nice article too.  For the two of them to have married so young and be in the entertainment industry, it is admirable that they are still married.  Good for them.

If I don't post before Thursday, y'all have a nice week and weekend.

Hi AJ Friends,

No much to tell except time goes fast when retiring! The weather in Belgium is not so good. Strong winds and a lot of rain make it impossible to go out for a bike ride. After al, it's fall !!!
Maybe you saw it on tv, the first president of Europe is a Belgian! Herman Van Rompuy is his name. That's a great honour for such a little country as we are. Don't need to tell that we are very proud.

Jean Az, congratulations future greatgrandma ! and have a wonderful birthday.

Sharon, Neck and shoulder aches are very painful. Mostly a wrong pillow is the cause. I sleep on a orthopedic pillow and no more neckache ! I have a link for you, look at the "Neckpillow". Good stuff !!!

Elaine, congrats to Kelsey and good luck at Vancouver in December.

Kathy, when is your retirement?

Sherry,AM,Harriet,Nelle, BHR, Sue, Terry, Kimberly, ... all reading,
Have a nice week.

Hello Friends. Finally started my Christmas shopping yesterday but after 2 hours I was tired & had to quit. But got a lot done. It is cool & in the 50's right now but Thanksgiving Weekend is going to be cold with lows in the 30's.

JeanB- Congrats to your new President of Europe- what an honor for Belgium. Sorry you can't ride your bike.

Sharon-Glad you love my quote. It will be an exciting game. This Saturday we have our big state rivalry game with University of GA.

Sue- Glad you had a good time going out with friends.

Nelle- Stay warm, my friend.

Jean-AZ-A Big Happy Birthday to you. I know the holidays will be a bittersweet time for you. Hugs.

BHR- Glad you are intesrested in the ACC championship game.

Kathy- I love those pics of Alan's family in People Country.

Elaine- Feeling like I'm just about over my illness- just a little coughing now. Getting started on Christmas preparations.

Happy Thanklsgiving to All.

I've been enjoying my week off - mostly relaxing.  It's been cool & rainy this week.  Still talking about snow tomorrow - no accumulation though.   We are going to our friends house for dinner, I just have to make a couple of dishes - it's so nice.

JeanAZ - Happy Birthday!

JeanB - can't wait to experience the retirement thing, I'm lookin at the summer of 2010.

Harriet- two hours of shopping is about all I can do at one time anymore.  It's tiring and I really don't enjoy it as much as I used to.  I used to shop all day & go out to dinner.  Maybe I don't enjoy it as much, because I can't do it like I used to.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!  Anyone getting up at 4am to shop on Friday?  NOT ME!!

Just stopping by to say Hello! and A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY TO YOU ALL!

Jean-Az, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO YOU! Hope your day has been a special one.

Kathy, I'm not getting up at 4am on Friday to do any shopping on Friday either. That is just crazy! I'm not sure we're going to do any Christmas shopping this year. We're thinking on just giving gift cards or money. We'll see. .  .

I'll be back here tomorrow sometime and post a bit more. You all enjoy your gatherings with your family and friends. Oh, and so you all will know:

EVERYONE OF YOU ALL HERE, MY AJ FRIENDS, ARE ONE OF THE MANY THINGS I'M THANKFUL FOR THIS YEAR.

Thank you for all your friendships and the warmth you all have made me feel everytime I come here to read all your posts and your responses to my posts. I feel blessed knowing you all. . .even though we all have not met in person yet (except for you,Terry). . .and for becoming a part of this wonderful group of Alan's fans. I'm looking forward to another year, or 2 or 3 or more of this friendly gathering on this forum and reading more concert reviews from you, Terry.  :-)

Take care and HUGS!
