Elaine, my son and dil just loved their stay in Calgary/Banff/Lake Louise. My dil had never seen that much snow and she just loved it!! Those Canadian Rockies truly are beautiful. Last time I was up there we drove from Calgary to Jasper and loved every minute. Terry, congratulations on becoming Nana again!! Sharon, I have seen the Jersey Boys and really enjoyed it!!!

Jeri, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I lost my mother 8 years ago, she was 75 years old and my dad I lost 2-1/2 years ago. He was 86 years old. I still am having a difficult time. I was very close to both of them. Music is one of the hardest things for me to listen to sometimes because it brings back alot of memories. We always had music playing in our house when we were kids. There is so many times I wanted to pick up the phone and tell them something and you can't. The time I really wanted to tell them something was when I won the Meet & Greet for Alan. My parents knew how crazy I was about Alan. They would have been so happy for me. I haven't been on the site much myself lately, but I was wondering why I didn't see much messages from you lately on here. But now I know. Take care of yourself and remember, your mom is in Heaven with God and her memories will always be with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

[size=12pt HI DEAR FRIENDS! AS USUAL I HAVE LET TOO MUCH COMPUTER TIME LAPSE, AND AM DOING THE CATCHING UP THING AGAIN. WHEN I GOT BACK FROM MY TRIP TO DOOR COUNTY...THERE WERE 97 E-MAIL MESSAGES WAITING, AND ALL BUT A VERY FEW WERE PURE JUNK...ISN'T THAT ANNOYING??? FIRST THO, JERI..MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU IN THE LOSS OF YOUR MOM, EXPECTED OR NOT, ITS NEVER EVER EASY. AS LONG AS WE REMEMBER, THEY ARE STILL NEAR.
HAVE SOME HAPPY NEWS, MY GRANDSON JOHN CALLED LAST WEEK (SOME OF YOU REMEMBER HE WAS THE ONE WHO SERVED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, AND CAME HOME SAFELY A YEAR AGO.) HE AND HIS WIFE ASHLEY ARE EXPECTING A LITTLE GIRL IN APRIL, TO BE NAMED EMMA JEAN. SHE WILL BE JOINING BIG BROTHER TRISTAN. I HAVE 4 SON'S ,7 GRANDSONS, ONE GREAT GRANDSON...SO I CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT UP PINK THIS TIME! DON'T THINK I'M NOT COUNTING MY THREE DAUGHTERS AND TWO GRANDAUGHTERS, BUT PINK HAS SURE BEEN SCARCE AROUND HERE.
OUR WEATHER HAS TURNED BEAUTIFUL, IN THE HIGH 40'S OR SO AT NIGHT, AND UP TO MILD 70'S DURING THE DAY, AND I SAY, WE'VE EARNED THIS AFTER SUCH A LONG AND HOT SUMMER..EVEN FOR THE DESERT. TERRIBLY SHORT OF RAIN, ITS BEEN MONTHS..BUT MAYBE EL NINO WILL CHANGE THAT.
KEEP WELL AND WARM WHEREVER YOU ARE..

Good Morning All, I have clothes in the washer and need to mop my floors. Hope to get to it. I'm not able to do the vacuuming and mopping in the same day anymore.
Thanks for all the good wishes for my great niece. They live in South Fl and I don't plan on going down anytime soon. With my children living in TN,NC and SC. We visit them first. Since my mom and sister passed away, the only family I have in FL now is a niece and nephew's and their families, so I just don't go that often. I must admit I have been to FL to see Mr. Jackson, but not able to go down to Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area. Would love to be able to go down in January and stay until spring here. I either have to fly or make a 12 hr. auto trip. Of course they can come north, can't they? I'll have to just keep on urging them to come north and see cold weather.
Got our tickets for "Jersey Boys". We're going in April. Also have tickets for "Wicked" in January. My dil and gs are going with me to see "Wicked". After reading the book, I hope Grant will enjoy it. The book was definitely an adult book.
Elaine, the mountains must be beautiful in Canada. I've only been to Victoria, BC. Maybe some day I can get up there.
Harriet, glad you felt good enough to do housework. That can be a blessing, huh?
We're having our 225 anniversary at our church Sunday. We're dressing up "old fashioned" and also having a dinner afterwards. I bought a skirt and vest at a revolutionary war reenactment at Musgrove Mill Battlefield. Some of you that have visited here have seen our church and also the historical sites around.
Jean/AZ, great news about your son and family expecting again. Congratulations.
Well, I better get busy around here. Hope y'all have a great day. I'd name everyone but afraid I miss one of you, so this is to all of you!

Sherry happy to see your son and DIL enjoy the mountains and the snow. AnitaMartina know what you mean with picking up the phone to call your parents.I still think that way and My dad had been gone since 1994 and my mom passed in 1999. Jean(AZ) congrat on your son and dil expecting a girl.My inlaws had five boys so they were so thirlled when Teresa was born. They spoiled her rotten. They had nine grandchildren and only two were girls. Harriet happy to see you are feeling a lot better. Sharon Victoria is beautiful but it doesn't have the mountains and snow that is in the eastern part of the province. How fun tha tis going to be dressing up old fashion.Teresa always told me that she should have been born in that era.She loved those full dresses. It seems forever since I've posted on here. I've been very busy with work & was sick for three days last week. Just don't bounce back like I once did. I'm on vacation now through next week, so I should be able to get on here more.
Jeri, so sorry for the loss of your mother. It's so hard I know - lost mine in '81 and there so many times I wish I could pick up the phone & just talk. Prayers are sent your way for you & your family.
Terry, congrats on the grandbaby news!!
JeanAZ - congrats on your baby news also!
I've seen both Jersey Boys & Wicked. Both great shows - you will enjoy them Sharon. You will be dancing in the aisles with Jersey Boys, such great music!
We've been having chilly & rainy weather - not making the old arthritis comfortable.
This post is rolling - never happened before. Gotta go.

Sharon, congrats to Clemson for securing a berth in the ACC Title Game. Now Team Saron- Clemson- will meet Team Harriet- Georgia Tech. Should be fun & may the best team win.
Kathy- Know what you mean- I don't bounce back very well at all. It's good that your retirement is coming up.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Love to All.

Congrats on your teams winning, Harriet and Sharon. Will be watching the ACC championship game and see whose team will win. Best of luck to both your teams.
I have to do some "bragging" here too. Our team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (Huskers, for short), won their game yesterday too and will be playing at the Big 12 championship, Dec.5, against Texas. Oooooooh, that will be a toughie. We're thinking positively here, though.
Great rest of the weekend everyone!

It's a gorgeous day here - sunny & in the 50's. I actually have my windows open. It's supposed to turn cooler later in the week & be chilly for Thanksgiving - they actually mentioned the "S" word.
Finally found the People Country issue at the grocery store (and had to search for that). Great pictures of the family - my, the girls sure are growing up fast. What a beautiful family!!
It's so relaxing knowing I don't have to go to work tomorrow. Retirement is so close, I can taste it. Hope you don't mind if you go through the countdown with me!

Had a great weekend with Jess and Sisco here.Georgie loves playing with Sisco.Teresa Jay and Kelsey took us out to Dinner last night.Kelsey's team won the tournament.
