Dizzy, what will be a big one?  LOL!

Jeri, thanks for all the compliments.  I do enjoy delivering, but I only deliver every other Wednesday.  It takes about 30 minutes.  It's the least I can do.  I live out in the country, do not like housework, work in the yard very little.  I have learned in these 38 years to keep myself busy, especially after all the kids grew up and moved away.  Both my daughters live out of state, so I don't have grandchildren to spoil everyday.

Did get the car running.  My neighbor who works on cars was the one who did the trick.  Seems like it had something to do with the air intake.  He tried to explain it to me, but like I said I know very little about how an engine works.  I hurt his feelings because we didn't call him first.  I apologized and feel great that he is next door, within vision but an acre away!

I'm ready to see AJ.  I finally told Jerry we had tickets to see George Jones the end of August.  Going to see Tim McGraw the first part of August.  It will be here before I know it.

Better get busy, I have so much office work to get done!!!!

Y'all have a great Friday!

HI FRIENDS, MY, HASN'T THIS BEEN A MONTH SO FAR OF GRAND (?) ADVENTURES.  THE EXPECTED PAINTING OF OUR EXTERIOR WALLS HERE AT THE COMPLEX, STARTED ONE MORNING A FEW DAYS AGO WITHOUT ANY WARNING..I WOKE TO THE SOUND OF BROWN PAPER MASKING ALL THE WINDOWS..AND DOORS, CHATTERING PAINTERS..AND I WAS PAPERED IN!  COULDN'T EVEN GET OUT TO GET MY BELOVED MORNING PAPER.  THAT TOOK SEVERAL HOURS.  THEN, A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, THE SAME THING, BRIGHT AND EARLY, THE PATTER OF LITTLE PAINTER FEET AS THEY TAPED ME IN AGAIN..THIS TIME FOR THE TRIM..TRIED TO LOOK OUT THE PEEP HOLE, THOUGHT I WAS BLIND BECAUSE THEY HAD TAPED IT OVER, TOO.  I CAN'T GET UP EARLY ENOUGH TO BEAT THEM.  AGAIN, THIS TIME I REALLY WANTED TO GET OUT AND DO SOME ERRANDS, NAMELY GROCERIES, SO WAITED A BIT, THEN JUST BUSTED OUT. LIKE FROM ALCATRAZ OR SOMETHING,  SAME WITH MY GARAGE DOOR, IT WAS TAPED OVER AND PAINTED TOO..BUT I GOT THE DOOR UP WITH MUCH TEARING AND SCREECHING AS THE PAPER AND TAPE CAME LOOSE, BUT BY GOSH I WAS FREE!  DIDN'T DAMAGE THE PAINT BECAUSE DOWN HERE EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING DRIES IN AN INSTANT.  THEN GUESS WHAT...THE HUGE DUST STORM THAT I WAS OBLIVIOUS TOO, MY UNIT IS KIND OF TUCKED IN A CORNER, SO I JUST THOUGHT, "GEE, ITS A LITTLE WINDY..." NEXT MORNING I WENT OUT TO GET MY PAPER, AND EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING WAS BROWN.  I THOUGHT, NOW THAT'S REALLY A SLOPPY JOB OF PAINING, ITS ALL OVER THE SIDEWALK...TILL I REALIZED IT WAS BROWN POWDER...AS FINE AS BABY POWDER, ONLY BROWN, NO GRAINS OF SAND, JUST PURE DUST. WHEN IS SAW THE PICTURES ON TV, IT SCARED THE STUFFING OUT OF ME! COULDN'T SEE ANY OF THE MOUNTAINS AROUND AT ALL, AND THAT IS STILL HANGING IN THE AIR.  THE AIR QUALITY CONTINUES TO BE JUST NASTY.  THEY TELL US OLD CODGERS TO STAY IN AND AVOID IT, SO ITS LIKE PAINTERS ALL OVER AGAIN.  I DO GET OUT AND ABOUT THO, BUT IN SHORT BURSTS.  IT WON'T CLEAR UP TILL WE GET SOME DESPERATELY NEEDED RAIN.  CHANGED THE AIR FILTER ON MY AIR CONDITIONER AS SUGGESTED, CAN'T REALLY SAY IT WAS TOO BAD.  HAVEN'T NOTICED ANY MORE DUST THAN USUAL INSIDE....I THINK OF A BIT OF DUST AS "PROTECTIVE COVERING"  ANYWAY, BUT YOU SHOULD SEE MY WINDOWS...BETWEEN THE PAINTING AND NOW THE DUST STORM, I DON'T KNOW IF ITS DAY OR NIGHT.  AFRAID TO HAVE THEM WASHED UNTIL THIS MONSOON SEASON IS OVER, BECAUSE THE WAY MY LUCK HAS BEEN RUNNING LATELY IT WOULD STORM AGAIN THE NEXT DAY.  THANK GOODNESS I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH A SWIMMING POOL!

WELL, I'VE WHINED ENOUGH.  YOU ALL STAY COOL, DRY, AND UN-SEALED IN, ME, I'VE GOT MY MINNESOTA TWINS TO DEAL WITH, DON'T YOU THINK I'VE DONE A PRETTY GOOD JOB OF MANAGING THEM LATELY??

SO VERY SORRY ABOUT YOUR HOME.I KNOW YOU ARE EXHAUSTED AND TIRED OF DUST. DOES THE COMPLEX WASH IT FOR YOU, ARE WILL YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE? SO SORRY IF SO,, TAKE CARE AND YOU ARE IN A DIRE NEED OF A  CONCERT OF ALAN"S TO GO TO, AFTER HAVING RESTED UP. TAKE CARE & YOU WERE THE FIRST PERSON I THOUGHT OF UPON HEARING ABOUT THE DUST STORM ON TV. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. YOU HAVEN"T EVEN HAD TIME TO ENJOY YOUR NEW PAINT JOB. THAT IS TERRIBLE. AT LEAST THE PAINTERS WERE CAREFUL & IT PROTECTED YOUR FEELING THE STORM OR SEEING IT AS WELL. I"M SO SORRY, GOD BLESS YOU & IT DID LOOK HORRIBLE ON TV.
GLAD YOU DON"T HAVE MY DUST ALLERGY OR I MIGHT BE IN  THE HOSPITAL BY NOW. TAKE CARE< HUGS JERRIE

Hi all....It's almost the middle of July....time flies by.  July is the best month of the year and it's been playing the part everyday with warm temperatures and sunny skies.  Enjoying my leisure time on the deck watching the river flow by with a cup of coffee or glass of wine.....life is sweet.  Jana and her fiance will be her next weekend.  Miss her and so looking forward to spending a little time with her.
Jean AZ.....dust storms, what a mess!
Sharon, sorry to hear about your car woes.
Harriet, writers have been squawking for a long time about putting Mauer at another position other than catcher.
Jerrie, how is your sister doing?  Grand babies?
Had the grandbabies over a few nights ago and had a great time playing in the pool!  Wish I could see them every day!
Take care all.

Sue Hello!

You are living the life ! Nothing like the scene you painted for us mentally..ha! On the deck w/Alan's music & a glass Of Veno ha!. Nice you are spending time w/your daughter's love now. I thought I would lose my daughter that night of
the wedding but we are so close still. I did feel that empty nest thingie  w/both my children.

Thanks for asking about my Sister,Her last check was better and her vists for checks will be further apart after the next six-month check. She is doing great, out washing her pool area and lanai. Thinks she is the only one allowed to clean her house lol She has her grandson there for weeks, his Dad is the one who was in Iraq. He flies home soon.

You asked about my grands, they are two now & we plan to see them soon. Had to postpone it so long for my bout w/vertigo. I went to mayo & I'm much better now.. can stand at least without appearing like a drunk. The grands are two now and so sweet..I haven't got to see them often, being ill. They took a beating financially after the Historic flood w/a huge house payment already, in Alan's old County..She can't leave the children to work, sold her part of her printing business in Franklin, before the children were born.So one salary & lots of repairs later, they are stressed to the max, but God is good and they survived & I'm sure they will this. we help them some also.

Dizzy, I have watched golf but to see Tiger struggle to come back, It saddens me. I don't approve of all he did but can't forget his being great @ golf and bringing in the crowds. mostly how his Dad was with him. Had he lived, this might not have happened, who knows...

You young ones, Time flies as we get older LOL. I also asked my Grand D. here and she said "mee Maw , it flies for me too!" she said"she works on progects to try and for a scholarship and she loves it but it passes her time off school" ha
She is a honor student. How she remains so sweet around the school and her friends, she must pick good friends. She is so polite and good natured. She loves everyone and has great girl friends and boys for friends..She wont date unless her Dad drives them to an event, she says"She doesn't want to get involved w/boys until after school." smart girl, her Dad is 6'7", so they will have to answer to him ha! former basketball star in college.. but was injured.ok now.
Sue I will send that photo of your daughter to Dizzy & she can forward it to you ok..I don't do that much email, family takes all my time ha! Hope we all see Alan soon, waitng for that next DVD to come out! I got the song on I-Tunes, Love it
Take care Jerrie PS- Jean/B enjoy your  trip, sounds wonderful! Hubby's relatives from Sweden are due here in August.

Jean(AZ) so sorry to hear abut your dust storm.
That fine dust is so hard to get rid of. I sure wish
I could send you some of our rain.
Jeri glad to hear your sister is doing well.
Harriet hope your staying cool in that
heat.
Sharon glad you can help with the meals
on wheels.
Sue enjoy your daughters visit. I know
how much I miss my son not living close
to after so many years of having him here.
Having a hot day today which is nice
after all the cool rainy days.

HI FRIENDS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND CONCERN, BUT I AM REALLY JUST FINE.  STAYED PRETTY MUCH INSIDE FOR A DAY OR TWO, AS THE DUST JUST HUNG IN THE AIR.  IT DIDN'T SEEM TO HURT THE OUTSIDE PAINT JOB, MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY PAINT EVERYTHING BROWN DOWN HERE!  MY GOSH, WOULDN'T IT BE AWFUL IF A STORM LIKE THAT HUNG AROUND FOR A DAY OR TWO LIKE SNOW STORMS DO, THIS THING JUST CAME BARRELING THRU AT ABOUT 60 MILES AN HOUR.  HAD SOME RAIN LAST NIGHT, AND I WOULD SURE LIKE IT IF YOU COULD SEND MORE OUR WAY.
MY SON CURT'S HOUSE IN SOUTH DAKOTA, THE PIERRE AREA, STILL HAS WATER INSIDE IT.  DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE WATER WILL RECEDE TILL LATER AUGUST.  HE HAS REACHED IT BY BOAT A TIME OR TWO, AS I MENTIONED THEY JUST BUILT IT, AND WERE ONLY IN IT 8 MONTHS.  THEIR SON JAKE IS GETTING MARRIED SEPT. 4TH, SO I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE TRIP UP TO SIOUX FALLS FOR THAT.  JAKE IS GETTING HIS PHD FROM GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, AND HIS LOVELY BRIDE JUST GRADUATED FROM U OF NEBRASKA IN DENTISTRY.  SO THAT WILL BE A HAPPY TIME FOR ALL OF US IN SPITE OF THE FLOODING OF THE MISSOURI.

LOOKS LIKE WE WILL MISS OUR ANNUAL BASEBALL WEEK-END IN MY HOME TOWN OF MINNEAPOLIS THIS AUGUST.  JUST TOO MUCH TO DEAL WITH THIS YEAR.  I REGRET MOST NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE OUR STOP AT FT. SNELLING MILITARY CEMETERY TO LEAVE FLAGS AT MY BROTHERS MARKERS.  WALLY, MY OLDEST BROTHER, WAS A NAVY PILOT AND LOST AT SEA, SO ONLY HAS A MEMORIAL MARKER, BUT AT LEAST IT IS SOMETHING THAT SAYS HE WAS HERE.  TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO GET THAT DONE FOR HIM.  ANOTHER BROTHER, DOUG, IS BURIED THERE, AND AN UNCLE FROM WW1.  TWO OTHER BROTHERS ARE BURIED IN MILITARY CEMETERIES, ONE IT FT. SMITH AR. AND ANOTHER NEAR CHICAGO.  GEE, I MISS THEM ALL, BUT WAS I EVER LUCKY TO HAVE THEM.  I WAS QUITE THE ENVY OF MY GIRL FRIENDS GROWING UP!  I GUESS NOW YOU KNOW WHY I AM SUCH A PROUD FLAG WAVER.  IN FACT, AFTER THE DUST STORM, I REPLACED THE FLAGS I HAVE ON THE PATIO WITH NEW ONES.  NO DUSTY, TATTERED ONES HERE!!  THE BOY SCOUTS COLLECT AND DESTROY THE OLD ONES IN THE PROPER WAY.

THE ALL STAR GAME IS HERE THIS YEAR.  I'LL WATCH SOME OF IT ON TV, BUT THERE AREN'T ENOUGH OF MY BELOVED TWINS ON THE ROSTER TO SUIT ME!  SHOULD BE FINE FOR THE PLAYERS, THE STADIUM ROOF CAN BE CLOSED AND AIR COOLED.

YOU ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY!

water. How sad they only lived in it for 8 months.
Congrats to your grandson on his up coming wedding.
Well were back to the wet cool weather for a week. The
summer is going to be gone and we have had no
real hot weather.
