We have had beautiful 70's this week - no AC needed.  But now it's warming up and will be in the 90's & 100's this next week.  AC back on.

JeanAZ - thought about you with that terrible sand storm.  Glad you're ok - what a mess!  Sorry you're going to miss your baseball weekend, but it sounds like you have a busy summer.
Sue - sounds like you are enjoying the 'Sweet' life sitting on your porch watching the world go by.  Everyone needs that down time once in a while.  Enjoy!

Watched some of the British Open today - enjoy golf, but it's not the same without Tiger, even if he's not winning.  I'm glad he's taking the time to recover and come back when he's physically (and mentally) able.

My Cubbies are just pathetic this year.  I still watch them, but most of the time I'm yelling at the TV for some of the stupid plays they make!  New ownership & a new manager has not improved the team.   Someday.

Kathy sorry your cubbies are not doing well. You
saying you yell at the T.V. reminds me of my dad
with the Blue Jays.He was always being the coach(LOL)
I haven' thad to use my a/c this year. I sure hope we
get some hot weather next week. Todd and Deb are
coming for a weeks holiday. They like to spend time
out at the lake water skiing .

Thanks, Dizzy. I hope others are doing the same. Right after I requested it on Kicks Country in Atlanta this morning they played it & it sounded great.

Hi all,

July is half over.....Summers just fly  by.
Jean, sorry to hear about your son's new home affected by the floods.  Water does so much damage and costly to repair.
Kathy, the Cubbies have been struggling...The Twins are six games out of first place.
Jerrie, hope you can see your son and his family soon.  Your granddaughters make you proud!
Elaine, will you will be able to see Alan when he tours Canada later this year?
Harriet, is Macon on your concert agenda?
I got tickets for the Mystic Lake concert.  Going with my brother and sister in law.  Change at the last minute.  Al called and surprised me saying he'd love to go to the concert.  Hubby does not share my love for country music.
Only 8 days left of summer school.  I have a wonderful class, very sweet children.
Hubby's brother and family are in town and we have had good fun times together.
My grandbabies are my biggest joy!
Daughter Jana and fiance will be here tomorrow.  Mom always enjoys having her family together even if it's for a short time.
Hugs and take care all,
Sue

Sue, my hubby will not travel for out of town concerts so if Alan does not do Atlanta we just have to wait til next year. Atlanta is a major market with many concerts but so far I'm planning to go to 1 definitly & maybe 2. Of course if Alan adds an Atlanta date I will be there.

Today we have temperatures in the 80's & even though it's very humid it still feels better than the 90's we've had since the end of April.

I hope all of you understand why I am encouraging everyone to request Alan's song. I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time. I just know chart success is controlled by radio spins & that's why we have to request & let them know we want to hear the song.
So thanks to Dizzy & all who are requesting. This is what we have to do.

Harriet, Love your Photo of Alan!! Looks just like him, only better up close lol
I'm still voting and will keep it up on the links. I vote on Wqik and 999GatorCountry( WGNE) also. Sometimes it just takes time. I do Email & calls, when I can..Requests at Noon only at Gator country.
Sue, My husband takes me to the Concerts but he doesn't share my Love of Country Music either.,He does enjoy the Grand Ole Opry as he gets to hear so many others.I go to hear Alan lol. Thus far is Montgomery Gentry w/Alan but there will be others we like. Yes Dizzy, the regular tickets get expensive..I hate it when Alan leaves  but I always enjoy the Show.Just to see that Bldg where so many have performed is awesome. The "circle "was cut out of the Flooded one & put
In the new one..You know the story of the "circle " if you know Country music.
we go to MS before going to the concert. Does anyone know where the New GOO is? in the same place as the old (Flooded) one was.. we will look it up but Just in case you know, feel free to tell us.We always stay at a hotel close, for that one night.I think I know when your getting older, it's when your Drs are younger than YOU LOL. j/k well at Mayo it was that way.. Sue enjoy that family..so nice you can see your Grands often, wish I could. My Grandgrls are so sweet but as they get older, they have lots going on & friends.Sue you would love them for students, they are so kind.. we took them to the Met in NY!
Enjoy your children, they grow up so fast..
Take care and all of you going to GA Enjoy! Have a Blast!!!!!!!!!!!!Jerrie-MS

Hi all....
Another hot and humid day in Minnesota....I can't complain because I know the opposite quite well!
Harriet, we all need prodding to keep requesting the song.  I need to do more.  Life just gets busy.
So you are not able to go to Macon, harriet?
Elaine, hope he comes your way soon.
Everyone stay safe....the heat is affecting many parts of the country.  Thank goodness for air conditioning.

Just stopping by to say "Hi".  Planning on the Macon show.  Sent in for the tickets, got the confirmation, etc.  Wish you could go Harriet, it isn't that far for you.  But I understand.
We had some wonderful cool temps for a few days, but the thermometer is back up to the 90's today.  My poor husband and anyone else who has to work out in it.
I'm off to the grocery store then meeting the girl who took over the treasurer's job at church around 4:00 here so she can do the tax reports and I can help her.  So glad I resigned from that position.
Y'all have a great day!

It is so HOT!!  We are supposed to hit 100 today - YUCK!  I'm staying in the AC.
We had a brief thunder/lightening/rain storm this morning about 3am.  Woke me up & the electric flashed on & off just enough to have to re-set all the clocks.  Thank goodness it didn't stayed on.
Stay cool everyone!

Kathy, this heat wave is a major problem & it's moving East. We already have a heat index of 99 today so i'm afraid it will just get worse in the next few days.
Everyone drink plenty of fluids & don't exercise in high huimidity & extreme heat. I heard on the news that 22 people have died as a result of the heat.
