crikyhd,
Did you ever get lucky, front row seats, and your boot signed. Thanks for the great pics and review.

Very lucky you had good security, some of the times they seem to think they run the show and make people go to their seats.  I always find a way to get to the stage.  Sometimes I wait until they look the other way and make a dash for the stage. Other times the security are nice to the fans.

So glad everyone, including A. J. enjoyed themselves

G'day All

Myself, wife and daughter are off to Sydney Acer Arena tomorrow night.
I would like to take my DSLR camera, though Acera arena's policy states no professional cameras!

Is there are different policy at Rod Laver Arena? As the 1st post has some nice photos of AJ.

Anyone have any idea if we are allowed at Acer to take cameras??

Thanks

Hi GTS.

we used a nikon D60 DSLR.. for the photos above. I have no idea what the security will be like in sydney , I would class a professional camera is what they use for media purposes. ie.. long lense detachable - what they use for paparazzi shots..
if you take a camera , get your wife to put it in a hand bag , or over the sholder bag, something to just fit in in, thats what my wife did, and we asked security at the top of the arena, before we headed down to our seats on the floor.
different security in a different area.  we didn't have any issues either way.

good luck , enjoy the show..

Thanks for the reply....appreciate it.
I have looked on other forums ans basically the same thing applies....different venues have various idess on what is a professional camera. Some venues won't allow a lense above 200mm...Well there are plenty of pro cameras with lenses under 200mm??
Anyway we might just take our daughter's Canon Powershot instead of my Canon 7D.

Thanks again and I am sure we will enjoy the concert!!!!!
