Elaine,  I think we are getting a little bit of snow tonight too.  It was very cold today.  -10C. That doesn't seem too bad, but with the wind chill it sure felt cold.

We just found out today Alan is coming to our city.  I was shocked to here that he was coming here, but I am glad.

I am done most of my shopping.  Just a few little things.  I am going to start my baking tonight.  We are having our Christmas with my family this Sunday.

We had lots of rain & snow over the weekend.   It was 40 deg F on Friday & Sat - dropped during the night on Sat and it's now 11 deg F.   Rained when it was warm and snowed when it was cold.    Weird weather.

Got all of my presents wrapped.   Working a little bit this week.   Next week is baking and cooking.

Hello, Everyone,

Thought I'd drop in just to say "Hi!." I have been having a bad case of a cold and cough for a whole week now and trying to get over it. Hopefully, I'll be fine by Christmas. I sure hope so. Of course, the cold weather is not helping much. We had some snow flurries yesterday but didn't stick on the ground.

Take care all and stay and keep warm.

HUGS,

Morning Y'all!  We are having frigid weather also.  No snow, but temps in the teens and highs in the 30's!  Brrrrr!
I finally got my Christmas cards mailed yesterday.  I haven't gotten one from AJ either.

My computer is acting up, couldn't get Mozilla Fox to work and I'm using the Windows Internet Explorer.  I hate to have to take the computer in......Drats......It's been acting up and I've been just hoping it will continue to work.

I have most of my shopping done, Christmas tree up.  It looks pretty on the sunroom.  I have it on an automatic timer.  That's the only way to go!  Still have to unplug the candoliers, but that's not too bad.

Y'all have a great day!

Hello, Friends. It is really cold here in the South. This morning we set a new record of 14 degress with a wind chill of -2. That's Fahrenheit.I'm doing OK but had to get out in this cold for dental appointments.

Elaine- If your computer is fast that's great. Sorry about your weather.

Sharon- I think the weather here is just going East & hiting you. It really is so cold.

Jean-AZ- Sorry your Metrodome roof collapsed because of all that snow. I saw a video of it- it's a good think it was empty.

Kathy- You're getting a lot done. Don't you love retirement.

Jeri- I am concerned about you because the FLA weather is so cold. I hope you will be in better health & staying indoors.

LouAnn- I know it's no fun for you either. I saw people at Disney World bundled up & shivering.

BHR- Hope you feel better.

Carnahanbi- Your weather sounds like ours.

Thanks to all for the beautiful Christmas cards.

Sorry to hear about all the Southern states affected by this cold, at least here in the North we expect it & are prepared for it.   Stay warm everyone!

It's still pretty cold here, but climbing to the 20's which means more snow tonight - only a couple of inches.

The Bears will be playing the Vikings this weekend at their temporary home at the U. of Minnesota.  So glad there was no one hurt at the domed stadium.   Sue must be really busy with year end school stuff - hoping she's alright.

Jeri - I'll ship some snow down to you if you want.   LOL!  Hope you are feeling better soon.

Kathy,
I think I will pass on the SNOW offer ha! It's freezing here at night. I forgot my last memory of snow was when we went to the MS Country House and I could not wait to get out early AM in the snow and the sun was shinning so I put my mom's old boots on that was there and went out a way from the house, only to find myself falling in a hole with one leg..Hubby just had to run get the camera, never mind if I was freezing or hurt ha! It was way funny later.. I had my PJ's on and It got rather cold, we still laugh about my MS snow fall, I guess the hole was where a fence post had been, but the snow covered it. ha..He just left me lying in the snow and asked if I had enough SNOW yet haha! I could have hit him but I was freezing cold.. ha Just a funny photo that he will NEVER let me forget. he shows my sister where I was in my PJ's in the snow . He didn't bother explaining  ha! It's funny now but not then..
Kathy stay warm but keep your snow please.. ha  I can go to MS now..Thanks anyway, Jerrie-MS

Tonight the roads in Atlanta are iced up & there have been over 200 wrecks. Some long lines of cars got stuck on the Freeway & couldn't move creating gridlock. My Hubby went to the airport to pick up his sister who is visiting from Lebanon & when he got home at 6:15 PM he said the roads were a sheet of ice & he had to go about 20 miles an hour once he reached the North side of town. I'm sending up prayers to all who had accidents & even got stuck in this mess. Hopefully it will warm up by in the morning & this stuff can melt. But they have closed the Atlanta schools. Yikes!

Good Morning!

Harriet, my hubby was supposed to work at the Smyrna VA Clinic this morning but decided not to after watching from the early news the icy road commute at areas in the Atlanta Metro, which includes the road he takes to go to Smyrna. He's working at the Newnan Clinic instead. The roads in our area are "still" fine, but with the forecasted frozen rain today, that could change quick. Stay at home if there is no need for you to go out today.

Keep and stay warm, everyone!
