Hello everyone.  Well it won't be long now before that big fella in the red suit will be here.  Very interesting reading all the posts in this thread.  You all sound pretty good.  I would  like to thank all those who sent Christmas cards.  What a treat to hear from so many of you.  I will cherish them always.  I don't know if you heard my news that Alan is coming to Oshawa, Ontario (about a 2 hour drive from me) soooooo if we don't get snowed in I'll be seeing him and have 2nd row seats.  Hopefully I will meet Anita Martina there as she has 2nd row seats also.  Hope he goes back to Ohio soon for you guys.  Stay safe and warm with your loved ones this Christmas!

I became a grandmother for the first time on Thursday Dec. 16th.  He is an adorable little boy, Gavin Robert.  He was 7 lbs 4 oz., 19.5 inches long.  Born at 5:04pm.  Mom and baby came home yesterday.  They are all doing fine.

The baby is precious, congrat on being a grandmother. Such a nice Christmas gift.

I want to add something about the old typewriters, glad to find out I'm not the only one who use to type on them.   That was almost back in the dark ages. lol

Also, loved the storied of how some of you people met your hubby's.

Congrats on being a new Grand ma ma. Isn't it great! Precious little babies. I have twins from my son & two daughters from my daughter, so I know the love of them..I never share online photos of babies on here, Think about others read this
now and lots of whacko's out there.(It's up to you but I would take the link off, after everyone see's your precious one..)

Listen, the Lady holding the baby, I think I saw her at Loveless Cafe once a few years back, is it possible? It may be your mom or your hubby's. I think why we love grand babies so much is we have much more time to enjoy them, than our own children growing up. I have enjoyed mine here so much and kept them until they went to school, and let  their mom work.

Stilll so close to those little buggers. Mine now are big girls and adore us. My hubby says it's beacuse we give them money for good grades LOL. he is a joker ha! They make straight A's and it's has been quiet costly ha!
Your G. Baby is precious , is it going to be "Nana"," mee maw", "Grandmother" ha! No decision here, I let them choose what they called me when they learned to talk and I love it! Congrats again !& God Bless the children.

HOW WONDERFUL, ANITAMARTINA, AND THE BEST OF HEALTH AND HAPPINESS TO ALL THE FAMILY!  MY DAUGHTER WENDY'S BIRTHDAY IS ON CHRISTMAS EVE, AND DAUGHTER LYNNE'S ON NEW YEARS DAY!!  I ALWAYS MAKE SURE WENDY'S BIRTHDAY CAKE IS A SPECIAL , AND HER BIRTHDAY GIFTS SEPARATE FROM CHRISTMAS.  NOT FAIR TO JUST LUMP THEM ALL TOGETHER I SAY!

GETTING PREPARED TO WATCH THE VIKES AND BEARS PLAY OUTDOORS IN THE FRIGID CLIMES OF MINNEAPOLIS THIS EVENING.  THEY HAD TO HIRE LOTS OF HELP TO KEEP SHOVELING AND DIGGING OUT THE FIELD.  ONE OF MY GRANDSONS, WILL AND HIS GIRLFRIEND PLAN TO BE THERE...HARDY (AND YOUNG) FOLKS!!!

Congratulations AnitaMartina!  How wonderful!

Got more snow overnight and the plows showed up at 3am to clear it - thank goodness I don't have to get up to go to work!!   Making fudge and gingerbread people today.

JeanAZ - I guess I'm a little biased, but that was a GREAT game last night!!  The Bears are the Central Division Champs!  WOOHOO!   I truly don't think that Favre should have started that game - he's a gamer though.  His body keeps telling him to stop, but I guess it's hard to walk away.  It sure did look cold there - BRRR!

JeriMS.  I don't think the lady you saw in Loveless Cafe was my husband's mom.  She has not been away in many years.
Also I did remove the link for the pictures.  I was planning on doing that anyways.  I just wanted for some of the AJfans to see it.  But thanks for the warning.

Grand babies are wonderful, such a blessing.  Enjoy the concerts, those lucky ones with tickets, health to those who are ill, enjoy the families this Christmas.   Loved the stories about how you met your spouse, typewriter rememberings, and I too am not a Brett Favre fan now, may have been at one time, but that ended a few years ago.  Will visit again after Christmas.  Blessings to all.  Leslie
