Elaine, sure hope you're feeling better.

We had a great weekend in Alabama.  Jerry's brother from Nashville did not come.  He said it was raining and didn't want to leave.  Our daughter and her family came down from Savannah, TN.  Jerry and his niece's husband did some picking and grinning Saturday night and they sounded pretty good.  Maybe Jerry will pick up the guitar more now at home so he can be practiced up!!!

Got tickets for the Tim McGraw show in July.  My dil is supposed to go with me.  She was tickled.  Got a shirt today that I ordered from the TM fan club and cut the blamed thing getting into the package!  So guess I'll use it as a sleep shirt!  Drats.

Jean/B:  Hope you get to see George Strait someday.  I saw him a couple of years ago.  Miranda Lambert opened for him.

Jean/AZ:  Enjoy Door country.

A friend and I went to the BMW Celebrity Pro Am last Thursday.  It was fun.  Ended up with our picture on the front page of the Spartanburg Herald.  It was taken behind us and there was no mistaking which woman I was!!!! LOL!  I will not repeat what my dh said when he saw it.  We were on our way to AL and picked up the paper!  Got to see Kurt Russell, Jerry Rice, Kurt's two step sons, Dabo Swinney, the Clemson fb coach and several others.  Catherine Bell was riding in the golf cart, she looked like she was expecting to me.  The heat may have been too much for her.  I would have gone for more than one day, but we were leaving for AL on Friday.  So I gave my ticket to my friend to pass along.

Jeri, thanks for posting the website for GAC about the flood.  Those poor folks in TN.

We're having a senior meeting tonight, and I made a lemon meringue pie.  It sure looks good!  LOL!

Y'all have a great Tuesday.  I go to the dentist tomorrow for some fillings around my receding gums.  Harriet, I didn't have a dental infection, had a kidney infection....But I'm better, finished the antibiotics today.

Hello, Everyone!

Just letting you all know that we're back home safe and sound. Got back half an hour ago. Stopped  at a restaurant for dinner before heading straight home. It has been a wonderful anniversary weekend in Biloxi. Even the weather cooperated and we had glorious, sunny days over there. I'm very tired and need to get some sleep. Will answer you all tomorrow sometime and will tell more about our trip to Biloxi.

Take care all and HUGS.

I feel so much better with things improving here. My husband's test came back & it was good, praise God! now I'm getting more uplifted over my son & family as they are drying out more. So mnay nice people helping out. I especially thank Alan  for his efforts in this Flood relief..
Now, I have a cold from not sleeping well and being stressed to the max.
Elaine I hope you feel much better  now, I'm drinking hot tea & lemon..and resting , it has helped.
BHR, I have friends that live in Biloxi and we have been there, it's a nice place to visit..I know you enjoyed it.
Sharon, I always wanted someone in my family to play guitar and sing to me.. Your Jerry sounds like he is enjoying it. That is so nice. we had my nephew Jeffrey, but he died at 30, he used to sing gospel & Jim croche songs..Not sure if you remember Jim Croche, he did "Time in a  Bottle" etc..He was popular when my nephew lived , also James Taylor. Loved hearing him just play anything for us. Your Pie sounds great, do you always cook? I have to limit mine now or my husband will eat more..and he isn't supposed to eat sweets.. sounds wonderful! Sharon I take what used to be prescription only  for K Infection called Uristat , mostly for pain & if that doesn't help, I see my Dr..Get it at any CVS.
Sue, I know you are exhausted after packing to move etc. It is stressful but the best part is moving in a new clean place, you can relax more and just enjoy yourself more! I know what you mean about leaving a house that was filled with memories. You can go on now to make more! I am in the house my children left to marry & we are about to start re-doing it
new cabinets and appliances, as soon as my husband feels up to it.I just feel so much better with his tests coming back ok.I was frankly worried a bit..plus my son.. Now we can enjoy and get out more and maybe go visit later.
Dizzy my cousin lives near Jackson, MS & she goes with her friends and stays at a hotel , for girls night out ha!
SHe actually lives in Carthrage. Sharon enjoyed your comment "about knowing what photo was you in the paper" lol. Your Jerry sounds nice like mine....wish mine could play guitar for me, but I think I'll keep him ha!
I feel so Great Today getting a well written letter from my 101 year old aunt who is mentally sharp still & writes better than I do ha. She talked about old memories of me, at her age.. I thought she would not remember me at her age . She said such sweet things about my Mom and myself..It was very uplifting to get that letter, at this time! She looks young.
God is good, my hubby's tests was ok and my son's dilemma is improving w/time . Now I can relax and sleep well.Nite nite
Take care everyone, Jerrie-FL MS

Morning Y'all!
The pie was tart, but good.  Eaten up in a hurry.  We have a few vegetables planted and I fixed sauteed squash last night with dinner.  It was good.  Jeri, I cook in spurts.  Jerry is very easy to please, and we do eat out quite often.

Rain is coming our way. It's overcast today.

I meant to tell y'all, we stopped at CB on our way to AL and I bought myself the AJ throw.  Jerry really doesn't care for CB, but I told him we didn't have to eat, I just wanted to check on the AJ stuff and other things in the store.  I was really kidding him and didn't make him stop at every store!

BHR, glad you had a good time in Biloxi.  I was there about 8 yrs ago the last time.  We stayed at the Capri Hotel.  Did you play any of the machines?

No big plans this weekend.  Grant has a ball game tonight.  Freedom Weekend Aloft is next weekend in Simpsonville and I would love to go.  I'm even thinking of flying in a hot air balloon.  Wish my daughter was close because she would go with me.  I'm sure Jerry won't.  Luke Bryant will be performing one night.  Love to watch the balloons lift off and come in.

My SIL gave me a great trail mix idea while we were in AL.  Craskins (sp) dried cranberries, almonds, roasted peanuts, and walnuts.  Mix all together.  A great snack and good for you too.

Did y'all read about the 72 yr old woman going 102 mph in SC?  She was late to a beauty appointment and was confused.  Her family took her to the dr. and she had a k infection.  The dr. said that could have caused her to be disoriented.  However, she had been stopped 2 weeks before for speeding.  Hope they take her license away.

Hello to all and have a nice weekend!

Kathy do you go in the fall to the door
country. It would be so beautiful then.We
saw it in the summer.
Jeri what a relief it must be that everything is ok
with your hubby and son's family.Like you I drink
tea with lemon but also I put honey in it.
Sharon the trail mix sounds good.Must try it.
I did hear about that lady and her driving.Kidney
infections if really bad do cause you to be diesoriented
My sister ended up in the hospital and was diesoriendted
for two days.It is because the kidneys are starting to shut
down.
Having a nice sunny day so far lord knows what it will
be this afternoon. Our weather has been changing so
fast these days.

Hello, Friends! Sorry that I'm just getting back here. Spent whole day Wednesday relaxing from the weekend trip (read: napping, eating out, napping. . .lol!). We were just so tired. Yesterday, we ran a few errands and more relaxing. As I said on my previous post, we had a great time in Biloxi. Didn't quite start that way, though. I told hubby to make the hotel reservation for Saturday to Tuesday morning so we'll be rested Sunday when we celebrate our anniversary but he optioned, anyway, on making our reservation for Sunday on because of the special pricing the hotel was having. Well, we had a late start and naturally didn't get to Biloxi until almost 5pm and our anniversary dinner reservation at the Hard Rock Cafe was at 7pm. An hour and a half rest is hardly enough for us to enjoy the dinner. And to make matters worst, hubby forgot to print out our HRC free dinner vouchers, courtesy of the hotel we stayed in at. . .Grand Casino. . .before we left home. The hotel's front desk clerk told us that they have no way of printing it out for us because they have no access to those online vouchers. So, we went on to Plan B. They have a decent semi-casual attire restaurant at the hotel and we went ahead and had our anniversary dinner over there. But, like I said, we were both tired and only had half and hour of rest so even though the food was good. . .not great. . .we weren't able to enjoy it much. The next morning after breakfast, we went to Keeseler Air Force Base and visited their new Exchange and Commisary Stores and did a little bit of shopping. They were still under construction when we left Biloxi last year. The original buildings were destroyed during the hurricane Katrina disaster event and they were using  temporary structures to conduct their business then while these new ones were being constructed. I almost wanted to move back there just for that. Hubby laughed at me when I told him that. We spent the rest of the day going to our favorite spots when we used to still live there, including having a buffet dinner at the Isles of Capri Casino & Hotel.

Sharon, yes, I hit the slots soon after we had our buffet dinner and actually won more than I have before. Like, Dizzy, I also don't win anything big playing the slots and at this particular casino the most I've won is $80 and I was thrilled. So you can imagine how much more thrilled I was this time that I won $125. . .lol! I thought about staying on but I'm aftraid that I might lose it all if I did. Definitely not a real gambler. BTW, on the dried cranberries, were you by any chance referring to CRAISINS? I eat that with my breakfast cereal everyday. Being a UTI (urinary tract infection) sufferer, my doc highly recommended that I eat one individual packet of that once a day as a snack or with cereal or salad along with taking a daily dose of cranberry tablets. It works for me, but only if I stay away from eating/drinking chocolate. Chocolate causes me to have a flare up. Weird, I know.

Dizzy, as I told Sharon, I don't win big either when I play the slots. I'm just doing it for fun, although, I sometimes feel terrible when I didn't get to win anything, like I've been robbed. . .lol! We have not been to or visited Blairsville yet. But we did look at some homes for rent/sale over there online and they mostly look nice. The locations looks good too. We really have no problem with moving, per se. But we'd really rather that we stay here in Newnan a little while longer since we just moved here last September. Hope your computer is fixed.

Kathy, yes, we just moved here in Newnan late last September. Not been a year since we got here and they're wanting hubby to manage another clinic at another town again. Sigh!

Terry, Blairsville is in the north end of Georgia so it's just a matter of hours driving from our current place to there. But like I told Dizzy, we have no problem with relocating again, especially this comes with pay level promotion for hubby, but it's just that it's too soon for us to be moving again. We really have not completely settled in here yet. We still have few more boxes from our last move to unpack! And plus, hubby will have more driving to work to do as he will be then be managing 4 clinics now and add to that his once a week trip to the VA hospital in Decatur for meetings and such and he's not sure that he will be compensated for the amount he'll be spending for gas in the car. He's already having a big expense on that now and will only get worse if he gets assigned there in Blairsville.

Jeri, glad to hear the good news on both you, your hubby and your son and his family in TN. Happy for all of you.

Elaine, hope your feeling well now. It's been rainy here today. We just had a thunderstorm. Hubby was doing some work in our storage unit across our apartment building when the rain poured with lightnig and thunder. He didn't have a jacket with him and his umbrella is in our car. He called me and told me that he'll be stuck there for a little while until the rain stops. I grabbed my raincoat instead and went and got his umbrella from our car and took it to him in the storage unit. We were both soaked from the hips down when we got back to our apartment.

JeanB, glad to hear everything is well with you and your family. My family and I has been to couple of George Strait's concerts and enjoyed both of them. Hope you and your wife gets to see him in concert too one day soon.

Harriet, how is your shoulder doing? I hope you're not in so much pain anymore. Just take it easy for a little while longer.

Hello to everyone else I have amissed to mention here. You're all in my thoughts.

Take care everyone and HUGS.

BHR - I just love that pic of Alan!!  He is gorgeous - love that smile!

Elaine, I've been to Door County in every season, except winter (I'm not a real winter person so there's not much to do there).   The fall is spectacular!  They call it the New England of the Midwest.   Love it, love it, love it!!!

Jeri - so glad to hear about your husband's test results.  I'm sure there was a lot stress there - take care of yourself and feel better.

Supposed to be in the 80's this weekend - may have to use that AC.

Hello, AJ Friends. Doing pretty well these days & the Cortisone shot is helping me space out my time between doses of the pain meds. Moving a little better too. Yesterday when we had storms & the barometer was falling it was pretty uncomfortable but better today as it is sunny & nice. Tomorrow the high will be 91 so here we go with hot weather.Tuesday I see he shoulder specialist & find out if Ineed an MRI.

Elaine- glad you're feeling better.

BHR- You really have moved a lot. I get tired just thinking about it. Let us know what happens.

Sharon- That's great that you are getting to see Tim McGraw. I've seen him & he has a great connection with his fans.

Terry- Congrats on getting high speed. I know you love that.

Sue- Yes, pain is exhausting so glad to be feeling better.

Jeri- So glad Jerry's tests came back good. I know you are relieved.

Kathy, Mazie, & Jean-AZ. I have to share the good news that my Braves have turned it around, winning 9 of 11 & now in 2nd place in the NL East.

Hi to all,
It's incredibly odd sitting on my deck watching the boats go and up and down the river for the last time here.  Also the new family moved their things into the garage tonight.  Out with the old and in with the new!  Ha.....Tomorrow is going to be a very strange day.  Will be hoteling it until August.  We have some fun things planned once the school year is over mid June.
Hope all is well.  It's starting to get dark and I am very tired from all the work of moving.
Just had to come and read about the AJ concerts.
