While I was in the Union,KY Kroger store,they had Country playing,and they played Alan's song "Here In The Real World".!

Got the last boxed set @ my local Wal-Mart today.

I did not watch the CMA Awards,but I do agree the awards shows,and the Country Music industry should show more respect.

And,this not only goes for Nashville,IMO radio stations all over America & Canada should show more respect for people like Alan,George Strait,Loretta Lynn,Dolly Parton,Gene Watson,Merle Haggard,George Jones,and the list goes on and on.

Many of these stars ARE still making new music,like Alan.John Anderson has a new CD out many radio stations won't play.The stations should not only play these stars old songs,but should also give the stars NEW songs a chance to be heard on the radio.(Thank God for the stations that DO play these stars songs.But ALL country stations should play these stars new songs,IMO).

I just read where Joey Feek (of Joey & Rory),her cancer has spread in her body.

Please keep this great Country Music couple in your prayers.

I was in our local Cracker Barrel Old country Store,and I saw they now have Alan's first gospel CD "Precious Memoires" vol.1.So,those of you who don't have this CD,next time your in Cracker Barrel,pick one up.

It's a great CD.I agree.I have it too.

I just mentioned Knoxville so all the Alan fans in the Knoxville area area can tune in and hear it on the radio.

I also agree on Alan doing a DVD on "You Can Always come Hone".That would be great.

I was just on WMYL-FM's facebook page,and saw Alan's new single "Jim,Jack & Hank" is one of the most requested songs on the station's "Outlaw country" show.

So,those of you in Knoxville TN,be sure to listen for WMYL-FM 96.7 to play Alan's single,and call to request it.(The station's nickname is Merle FM 96.7.WMYL is the stations call letters).

Also,while we are on the subject of Knoxville,in the past I have called WTNQ-FM 104.9 in nearby Lafollette to make requests,and they have been great about playing requests.So,if I had to make a bet on it,I would guess they would play Alan's new song too,if you call to request it.It can't hurt.(WTNQ's signal reaches Knoxville & East Tennessee,so many of you in Knoxville should be able to get either of these two stations.And,you can always listen to them on the stations websites as well).

Anyway,just wanted to give those of you in Knoxville & East Tennessee a heads up on where you can hear Alan's new song on the radio.You can get the request line number to these two stations on their websites.

I don't know if WIVK is playing the song or not.Sure hope & pray they are. If they are,you can hear it on there,too.

I remember,when Alan re-did "Pop A Top",Jim Ed spoke very highly of Alan's verson of the song.He will be missed.

And now,there is word Joey,of Joey & Rory,her cancer has returned.Our Prayers are with her for a complete recovery.

And,Larry Black,of "Larry's Country Diner" & "Country's Family Reunion" is in the hospital from an ATV accident,as I type this..He's making great progress,but needs our prayers.Larry gives us great Country Music shows on TV.
