This is to all and anyone who sees tickets bought from the fan club for Alan's Australian or any of his concerts being sold on Ebay and obviously for profits. Those tickets are non-transferrable so therefore are, in a sense, illegally being sold. It's also against Ebay's rules. . .reaping people off. Report your findings to Ebay and to Cindy, the fan club prez, to stop the sale. People who would buy them could and would find themselves really out of money if, and likely when, their tickets are not accepted at the concert they bought them for.

Thanks,

I have tried to contact EBAY to lodge a complaint but can't find a category in their "contact us" to fit my complaint..
how can i contact the fan club prez. Cindy . to let them know--there is one particular listing at present that closes in around 24 hours that is making a huge profit at this time..and states they got the tickets from fan club..it's not fair to the people who really wanted to go to the concert and missed getting tickets.

I Have Just looked into the tickets this person has on Ebay is selling he says he is a member of A.J's Fan Club but no photo of the tickets I have got mine in the post I am going to see him in Melbourne on the 4th March. This person needs stopping he is asking $300.00 more than what we other fan club members would have paid for. I chose gold reserved he has to be stopped I have an Ebay store I shall investigate it more. There is also another site I came across not on Ebay it is called Ticketfinders.com.au and they are selling tickets to the concerts what is going on how do these people from ticketmasters get hold of the tickets in the first place.HuhHuhHuhHuh??

Just to debate...
The tickets being discussed here were listed for the exact price that they were purchased for and the price they are now showing for was driven up by demand. I fail to see what is wrong with this.
ajsrose in another post you stated that you were ok with this kind of selling. I do agree that it is unfair that there are tickets listed for much higher than the purchase price and are only buy it now.
Also, we do not know the sellers circumstances. If the seller purchased tickets, and now for whatever legitimate reason cannot attend or bought too many, why then can't they be sold in this way? Especially when they were listed at the exact price that they cost and the seller appears only to be attempting to recoup costs.

You made good points, however, tickets bought from this fan club are non-transferrable, meaning that only the members of the fan club who bought them can use them. Let me explain that a little further. If you are Australian, which I presume you are, here in the US, some venues check for members' IDs when they present the tickets at the gate or entrance of the venue and most when the tickets are being picked up at the venues' ticket window. If the holder of the tickets are found to be not members of the fan club or the fan club member is not with him/her, he/she likely will not be allowed in the venue and therefore just waisted his/her money on his/her now useless ticket. As such, reselling those tickets, it doesn't matter what the seller's circumstances is/are, especially on EBay (read their rules, if you haven't), makes it illegal. If they bought the tickets from ticket outlets such as Ticketmaster, Ticketek, etc. and outside of the fan club's pre-sale event, then there's no problem there. As for the act of re-selling the tickets for perhaps financial gain, which is quite obvious, and the unfairness of it, in some way it is for other fans who tried so hard to get their tickets to the concert but were unable to and then see people sell tickets they personally bought, most especially from the fan club pre-sale, again, the seller's circumstances doesn't matter, at Ebay and at much higher price they can afford. I'm sure that is very devastating for them. If you still don't perceived that to be unfair, how about this one. Alan is dong a benefit concert in Orange Beach, Alabama here in the US and tickets are free. Now someone is selling tickets to that on Ebay (US website). While a lot of Alan's fans wants to be there but wasn't able to ge their share of the tickets given away, do you think this is fair? The fact of the matter is, if the tickets to Alan's concerts are not hot sellers, these people reselling them on Ebay will NOT even think of selling them, let alone buying them to resell, personal circumstances aside.

I think these are the sentiments that ajsrose, muddy66 and others are trying to express here. Just sharing my opinion on this situation and I hope you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

AJsrose, I tried and tried last night to file my complaint on Ebay regarding that seller on the link you provided but by the time I got through, the bidding has ended. but I did send a message/question to the seller. Not sure if that one went through.

I totally agree with this!!!  I had 2 extra tickets that were going to be used but unfortunately could not be used so I put my tickets up for sale on ebay just to make sure that someone else could use the tickets that I had.  I listed them at exactly what I bought them for, they went for just over what I bought them for.  I didnt see the harm in it.  I didnt specifially buy tickets to rip any one off or make a profit off it, I just didnt want the tickets going to waste.

Not trying to be argumentative here, but I don't think you fully understood what I had explain on my post above and you might want to re-read it again. My point there simpy is this: You may think you're doing someone else a good deed by selling to them the tickets you personally bought from the fan club so they'll have a chance to be at the concert, but it could likely backfire on you and the sale itself is not entirely legal per Ebay's and fan club rules. They are NON-TRANSFERRABLE. Let me ask you this. Since the tickets members bought from the fan club can be used only by the said members and with the tickets sold and reserved in their names, should the case may be that the people who bought your tickets are not allowed in the venue because the tickets were not in their names and they demand a return of their money from you, would you give it back to them? Or would you take the cowardly act of saying, "they took the risk, it's their loss" and then not return their money? Just wondering. You said you didn't do it for money. I would have just played it safe, stayed honest and just cut my losses.

I feel for anyone who is ripped off by purchasing tickets through Ebay but if you don't buy from the legitimate ticket seller then you get what you pay for and that will probably be nothing.  There was ample opportunity for fan club members to purchase tickets.  I joined the fan club two days prior to the release of fan club tickets and had no trouble getting them. Next time get in quick, it's a shame there is only one concert but there was the opportunity.  Can't wait to see AJ, he is a champion and I am just itching to get there, it can't come quick enough.
