It seemed as though the waiting took forever and finally Alan arrived in my hometown, Rockford, IL. We had 2nd rowseats, thank you so very much to the fan club!  The Harter's opened the show, a trio, brother/sister group.
Hopefully they will continue to find success as everyone seemed to truly enjoy them.

We were just a few seats off from center stage, a perfect view to enjoy everything Alan! I didn't write down
the setlist but he played a great selection of hits including: Hard Hat and a Hammer, Drive, Country Boy,
Remember When (One of my favorites!), 5 O'Clock Somwhere, Who's Cheatin' Who, Pop A Top, Little Bitty,
Don't Rock the Jukebox, Woman's Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, Chattahoochee, Good Time,
and Mercury Blues. Alan's smile and his wonderful stage presence is what makes his shows my ultimate favorite
year after year. His camera crew did a great job of capturing clips of our city. The audience cheered as
they saw their favorites on screen and Alan even had to turn his head a couple of times to see what we were
cheering for - Rockford IceHogs, our local Beef-A-Roo restaurants, or a Hooter's restaurant! There was one
encore where he signed autograph after autograph, making his way across the stage, taking time for each and
 every one of us!

Thank you Alan for making the stop in Rockford this year. Sorry to see that our city didn't pack the house
though.  I believe he performed for about 4,000 people. This year I was lucky enough to see Alan twice in one
year and would definitely attend a 3rd, if the opportunity arises! I have been a true fan since his beginning
and enjoy every single moment that he is on the stage performing.  Thank you Alan for being such an incredible
man and for sharing your amazing talent with us!
