Jackson thrills with classic country

The sweet sound of the south invaded the Halifax Commons on Saturday.

Fans of Nashville’s primary export packed the Commons for Country Rockfest 2010, streaming in as soon as the gates opened, filling much of the city’s central greenspace by the time B.C.’s Mike Gouchie had finished his opening acoustic set. Fans were eager to see headliner Alan Jackson, topping an all-male slate that also included Kevin Costner and Modern West, Billy Currington and Lonestar.
