This morning Hard Hat & a Hammer is losing spins on Mediabase for the first time. We really need to get on the phone & request this song to our local stations.
I don't like bringing this kind of news but if we don't know we are not aware to try to turn this around. I know it is harder to request on weekens but please give it a try. They don't always answer the phone but I'm going to try both stations here.

Harriet,
I always vote each day and request. Alan has already hit # 1 at a lot of stations, the minute they do they start dropping .Alan's stayed at #1 here because of requests and my DJ's plays it for me. It stayed at #-1 for four days
and that is longer than most, it's # 5 now due to other new ones, such as George Straits new one and others that haven't reached the top.. But Alan's has hit # 1 on lots of stations, this could be why the drop, not sure. they play it less after it
starts dropping. Alan's now is played about every hour or so. Requesting is a great help..a lot has to do with the station also.My DJ's here are good to play Requests.
Thanks for all you do !
Someone said to John Mayer or congratulated him( Keith Urban I think) on being number one once, John remarked,"That's Today", realizing you can't stay at number one forever. So true.

Good News. Though Hard Hat & a Hammer is still losing spins on Mediabase it was the 2nd most requesated song of the day on Kicks Country in Atlanta.

Not so good news for Hard Hat & a Hammer. It has been losing spins for 4 days on Mediabase. I think a Top 20 is the best we could do with it.
Let's concetrate on requesting the new song, As She's Walking Away, by the Zac Brown Band & Alan.

Harriett, I sure thought it would go higher.  See Mediabase pushed it up to 17 again, but it is just not going anywhere fast.   Such a great song and the video is fantastic.  It just should resonate with the working people and the conditions today, but they are not requesting.  The song is just not being played.  I have begged and begged, voted, playing the video on CMT and not much more we can do.   Yep, I would love another song released and pray Alan gives us another CD next year.   One every other year is too long in between.  Alan, are you listening? -:)
