Hi all,
It's been a busy summer with travel, moving, unpacking, workshop days, and leadership meetings.  But just wanted to let everyone know I haven't disappeared.
Have been enjoying the summer and trying to get to know my three month old grandson.  The other one is so much fun to visit and play with.
Will read more later and post to all.

Hello, Friends. Have been to the doctor with my MRI films & he says I have a torn rotator cuff tendon & will need surgery to fix it. He can't do it with an arthroscope- he will need to make an incision. He can fix it but there is a long recovery time of 8- 12 months so I guess I won't be going to concerts for awhile. Glad I got to see Alan & George Strait this year before it happened. I do not feel I have that big a problem when I watch the news & see all those people in Pakistan being swept away by floods. It just puts everything in perspective. I will be fine- it will just take time.
Thanks to all of you for your continued thoughts & ptayers & sopport.

Love and Prayers to you Harriet, Always AJ Fan Friend, Keep The Faith!

Hugs from Jerrie and My husband also, from Florida ,,,,

Hi, Everyone!

I have just posted an update on the "Prayers" thread for Harriet. She has been scheduled for surgery. Harriet, please feel free to email me any post surgical updates and I'll post them here at the forum for you.

Sharon, YES, I'm indeed, happy that we don't have to move again and, hopefully, not for a long while yet. We haven't been here in Newnan a year so, yes, I'm not looking forward making another move anytime soon. . .neither is my hubby. I have to make a correction here on the name of the town I mentioned. That's supposed to be Blairsville not Maysville (ooops!).

Elaine, We certainly will enjoy our oldest son being home with us again. Hopefully, he'll have no problems getting employment here and his new home. Thanks for the prayers for my hubby. Appreciate it.

Speaking of my hubby, I have an update on his liver condition. He went to see the specialist this morning and it's another good news, bad news. The good news, as I had hoped and prayed for, is hubby doesn't have hepatitis. The bad news is he have tiny/small scarring on his liver which is a precursor or start to cirrhosis. . .the doctor calls the condition progressive cirrhosis. This means he does not have the disease itself yet but could develop it if he does not take certain steps now to slow down the progress or possibly halt it. . . .eat moderately, go on strict low fat/no fat and low sugar/no sugar diet (and the keyword there is STRICT), get lots of excercise and lose 20 lbs. fast. Of course, he also have to continue staying away from any alcoholic beverages (he hasn't had a drop of it for many years now). Will update you on his weight loss and overall progress. Thank you all again for your continued prayers. As always, it's much appreciated.

Hello to everyon else reading this. Love you all.

Take care and HUGS,
BHR

Hello everybody,

BHR, glad your hubby doesn't have hepatitis. The bad news isn't so bad, a diet is not the worst and lose weight is good for his shape. Drinking a lot of water and exercises are a must. When i started bycicling my weight was 85 kilos (don't know in Ibs? ...170 pounds i think?) Today my weight is 70 kilos (140 pounds?) And i feel much much better.

Elaine, lucky you in Canada with a warm summer! We had rain the two last weeks and temparture is 65°f. I have a cough again... grmbl!
Congrats to Kelsey on the volleyball tournement.

Harriet, good luck with the surgery and keep the faith.

Terry, the truck accident was in my newspaper. Glad none of your kids were there.

Sharon, Sue, Jerrie, Anita, Kathy, and all of you reading ... take care and enjoy summer. In West Europe his already over. lol.

btw:what are you thinking about Kenny Chesney's new song "Boys of Fall"? I love it.

Hello, Friends. It is so humid here it feel like we are walking around in soup- from the 70's-90's in per cent humidity. I have my shoulder surgery scheduled for Sept 14 & my wonderful Sil, wife of my brother is going to come & stay with us & help out for a few days after the surgery. We are so fortunate to accept her generous offer.

BHR- So glad your Hubby does not have hapatitis- that is good news. And maybe you can head off the progress of the Cirrhosis as you said.

Elaine- Glad you got to visit with your brother.

JeanB- Congrats on losing weight & getting in shape & I will keep the Faith.

Thank you, Jeri, for your support & kind words.

Hello Sue- nice to see you posting.

Everyone try to stay cool.

Back to HOT & HUMID again today.  Just took a trip to Target and it is very hot.

JeanAZ - enjoy your trip to MN.  Your Twins are doing great and really beat up on those ole White Sox.

Harriet, so glad you will be having help after your surgery.

JeanB - WOW - you are getting into shape.  Good for you!

BHR - good news on the non-hepatitis report for your husband.  Hope he follows the doctor's orders for the liver problem - I'm sure you will be helping with that task.

Take care everyone and have a great weekend!

Hello to all of you. I'm doing fairly well just trying to drop some weight & get my house cleaned up as much as I can before the surgery. The weather remains very humid- 93% this morning.

Kathy- Sorry you're dealing with thr heat & humidity too- it's amazing how hot Chicago can get in the summer as far North as it is.

Elaine- Glad you're having some periods of cool weather up there. And I'm so thankful to be having my Sil help us after the surgery. She's a Godsend.

Jean-AZ- Enjoy your baseball vacation. Sounds great. We haven't been to any games this year because of the heat. We do get them on TV. We are so spoiled.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Good to hear everyone is doing ok.  The last days of summer.  School has started here and the nights are a little cooler.  Not as humid, but still hot, just not stifling.

Jean/B:  I do like Kenny Chesney's "Boys of Fall", also the video of Sugarland's "Stuck like Glue" is hilarious.  I didn't like the song at first, but now I do.

My granddaughter will be playing in a volleyball tournament the 3rd and 4th of Sept, not too far from us.  So Jerry & I are planning on going to see her.

Jean/Az: You are already in MN, I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Harriet, thinking of you preparing for your surgery and it is great that your sil is able to come and help.

Hello to all of you, Jerri, Elaine, BHR (thinking of your hubby on his strict diet, etc.), and the rest of you AJ fans.  Not much going on here for now, which may be a good thing.

Hello, AJ pals- where is everybody? No posting on this board for awhile- guess you're all busy. I'm OK but having a painful day today as it is raining. That always happens. Just played Hard Hat & a Hammer video the 2nd time today- trying to get it back up some on the CMT Countdown.

Elaine- so glad Kelsey has been successful with her volleyball.

Sharon- we got a little cooler here today but just had a strong rain shower so humidity is up again. Sorry- can't agree with you on the Sugarland song- it hurts my ears to listen to it.

Jeri- doing my best to take care of myself. I agree Kenny's Boys of Fall is a good song. Smart of him to record it in anticipation of football season.

Hello to everyone else & Love to All.
