Hello, Dear Friends. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, encouragement & kind words. I do wonder if The Almighty is testing me in some way. I'm taking it day by day. My Phsical Therapist is thinking I have a rotator cuff problem. I just hope it is strained & not torn. My dental surgery went well & so far it's so nice to have teeth I can leave in all the time. My toe is much better after they got all the gunk out & hope that will be a successsful procedure. Hope I'm not giving too much information.lol

Just want to say to Kathy I love it that your Cubs are beating up on the Phillies this weekend. The Phillies are our main diivision rival & picked to win the division at the end of the season. I think the Braves might have something to say about that.

Like Terry, I can't address everyone but love all of you & will check in again soon. Jerrie is right- it does seem like one thing after another.

Harriet, I just read your post about your RT big toe. Sorry to hear it but glad it's doing better. I sure hope you only strained your rotator cuff and not torn it. I'm continuing praying for you. Glad your dental implant procedure is going well. You take care of yourself, be well and stay well.

JeanB, I'm sure you're enjoying your vacation trip. Safe travel back home.

Terry, good to see you posting again and happy to hear you'll be seeing Alan in concert again. You deserve the break. Enjoy the concert!

Jeri, thank you so much for your continued prayers for me and my hubby. Reall appreciate it.

Kathy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! How many days more before your retirement? :-)

Hi, Jean-Az, Elaine, Nelle, Gwen, Kimberly and everyone else reading this.

Take care everyone and you all have a good week!

I've been battling a bad ear/sinus infection this past week.   Only two more weeks to work and I've had to take Friday & today off for sick leave.  Go figure - it could have waited a couple more weeks.    I'll post more when I'm up to it.   Thanks for all the birthday wishes - celebrating next weekend.

Hi Everyone.  I have not been on this site very much lately.  I have been quite busy.  I just came back from my three week trip in Europe a week ago.  I had a fabulous trip.  The weather was great.  Nice and hot. Only one day of rain at the beginning of the vacation.  The mountains in Austria and Switzerland were amazing.  The architecture of the buildings in Austria, Swizerland and Belgium were incredible.  The last week I was in The Netherlands.  I spent alot of time with my relatives on my mom and dad side. Most of them I have not seen since 1967 (62 cousins).  I got to meet all of my cousins on my dad's side at the family reunion they had planned. On my mom's side they had two nights planned for cousins to meet me, so I got to see most of them.  I had an excellent time with them.
Also, when I was in Brussels, Belgium I got to meet JeanB.  He was so nice to my husband and me.  We spent about two hours together.  Now I see that he has left on his vacation until the end of July.
Kimberly, I am so sorry I missed you.  JeanB told me that you were away.  At least when I was in Holland I got to enjoy the voetball (soccer), at least three games.   I like how everyone decorates their place with orange.  My cousins gave me some decorations to take home with me.  Of course I wasn't in Holland for the final game. We came home on the 8th .  So when I got home I decorated the outside of my house.  It is too bad they lost.  I was hoping that they would win this time.  Now we have to wait for the Europe Cup in two years and then the World Cup in four years.
Well I better be going.  I will try to come on more often. But with summer here and lots of things are happening at work, I don't seem to have alot of time.  I am way behind in all the news.  So, I hope everyone is doing fine.  Take care and talk to you all soon.

Welcome back AnitaMartina!!!!

Strange but when Jean/B said "I met Martina and her husband and she was so super nice and we got to talk to them for a while." At first I know nothing about your trip, so I thought he meant Martina Mcbride, the Singer ha! Yes he really
enjoyed meeting you & said how nice you were.
So happy you got to tour and enjoy your Family reunion, that is wonderful. we had just started planning to so to Sweden when my husband retired , when he became ill. It's beautiful there, where you were, I'm sure.

Just to fill you in, Alan's Freight Train DVD is doing great! he has changed his format in Concert and is talking more to his
Fans about the music w/his Band..up front now on stools.. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing him yet this time, due to my husband's sudden illiness too. He is better now. Take care and rest up before work, So happy you got to visit your family.
Glad you had a safe trip, Jerrie-FL & MS

Jeri, that is too bad that your husband had to get ill but I am glad that he is doing better.  When you do get to go to Sweden, I think you are going to like it there.  I have a friend  who went to Finland this year and one went to Denmark.  They both loved it.  I hear the Scandinavia countries are suppose to be beautiful.  Maybe one day I will get there.  But I do want to see more of my own country, Canada, first.  I have been out west to Alberta and British Columbia, but my husband has not.  So that might be our next trip.  Also, there is alot of the States we have not seen, so we have to do that too.  I just wish there was more time and money.

I am glad his CD is doing well.  I love it myself.  I have not seen him in concert this year.  It has almost been a year since I had my Meet & Greet.

Yes it was nice meeting JeanB.  I hope I will be able to meet other Fan Club members someday.

Maybe whenever Alan decides to retire(hopefully not for quite sometime),or even before that, he should have a private party for all his fan club members where he personally can meet all of us.

Elaine,  Yes I do speak a little Dutch.  I understand it very well.  When I was there a few days, I seem to pick it up even more.  But nowadays, they speak a little English too.  So we helped each other out.
When I was in Germany, I would speak the little German I knew.  But at one place only, I had a guy who was very arrogant.  When I spoke in German to him , he said that they have spoken English in their town for the last 400 years and they do not appreciate when us Canadians and Americans come over and try to speak their language and do not pronounce their words properly.  I was so shocked.  Most people appreciate it when you try to speak their language.  But that was the only person that we had any issues with.  Everyone else was so helpful and kind.

Have a great night to everyone.  I have to get some dishes and laundry done.  Anita

Dizzy I am sorry I can't help you but
sure hope someone here can.
Anita how I wish I could speak another
language. My two older sisters could. The little
country school only went to grade seven so
they had to stay with my grandparents in a town
that spoke mostly French in their schools
It is nice and hot again today.

Recovering, but tired.  Back to work and training replacement - only 7 more work days!   Still catching up on all my reading on the board, so I won't attempt to address everyone.   Hope you all are doing good!

dizzydean -

I'm thinking it could be the speed of your internet service.  I used to have that problem when I first got high speed internet which was next to dial up.  I called my internet provider and had it increased to 7mpbs (which of course costs more) and now the videos play just fine without any pauses.

Hope this information.
