Hi to all you great ALAN fans.   SHARON thank you for remembering me. We had a week of temps. as high as 103 and need water.    JeanB I am happy to hear you are better.  Jeri I am also happy that your husband's test results were OK.   God bless you Jean/AZ and I also cried.  Kathy it is only 14 days as I am writting this.  BHR what a great story as you got a new car. I hope you have many years of fun and good luck with it.   Elaine I am so sorry you lost your kidney. Please take good care of yourself.     Harriet I pray a lot that is what I do too.  I will be praying for you as you go to the dentist and everything else you are going through. Harriet I have been an ALAN fan since the beginning.  I am sorry when I might seem upset, but I don't think that he is treated fairly so many times and my heart goes out to him.  Take Care.   Love and HUGS to everyone.     nelle

teeth. Now they don't want the girls drinking
gadorade. They drink a vitiman drink instead.
It is suppose to be better for them.
Nelle hope you take care of yourself in that heat.I do
take good care and go to the Kidney specialist
once a year.
Having another hot day.Kelsey had to play again in
Kelowna but it was way to hot for me to sit in that
sun all day.

Harriet, hope everything goes well with your oral surgery today.  Just read the board that today is the day.

We did get some rain here.  But it is very hot.  The humidity is oppressing.  Walked down to the mailbox yesterday (about l/8 of a mile) and could hardly catch my breath.  First time that has ever happened.

Watched what I had taped of the Jimmy Buffet show and was disappointed that Alan wasn't there.  Didn't someone say he was gonna be on it.  Unless I missed it, because I didn't tape from the very beginning.

I can't believe how July is flying by....

BHR, enjoyed hearing about your experience at the Ford dealership.  Those lucky Newnanians just don't realize what Alan means to us!!!  The majority think we are CRAZY!!!! LOL!

Y'all have a good Tuesday!

Hello, Everyone!

Harriet, hope everything went well with your dental procedure yesterday. You were in my thoughts and prayers. . .and still are. You take care and take it easy for awhile. HUGS.

Glad you all enjoyed my "story" on our trip to the Ford car dealership here in Newnan to buy a "new" used car. Well, so we went back there Saturday to get the car cleaned up and the gas tank filled up free for us. Guess what? I dang forgot my camera again. . .LOL! However, just like hubby took my pix there the day before with his cellphone camera, which I amiised mentioning on my previous post, btw, I used my cellphone camera to take a bit more pictures. Not very god shots, but good enough for my purpose. . .scrapbook. I also just noticed that there are more framed newspaper clippings displayed on the wall too. Alan's induction as a new member to the GOO in 1991, amongst them. And, I don't know if I mentioned this on my previous post, one of the newspaper clippings displayed on his desk is an ad with a group picture of the people working there during Alan's employment there. The young and lanky Alan is with the group with his short curly hair wearing dark slacks, white(ish) shirt, dress shoes and a necktie and with his cute shy grin. Another framed newspaper clipping was headlined with "Do Dreams Really Come True?" and talked about Alan's going after his dream of one day becoming a country music singer and how it all came true for him and then some. I can't get enough looking at everything Alan that is in that little office room that they're now using as a waiting room for their customers. Hubby was teasing me as we left the place and said that in all probability whenever he'll need something done with car there now that I will be going with him just to have another look at all those AJ stuff in that room. . .and another, and another. And he'll be right too. LOL!

On another note: I have just posted an update on hubby's surgery in the "Prayers. . . .." thread. Please read and thank you all again so much for your continued prayers for us, with our appreciation.

Got to do some chores now. Take care everyone and have a great rest of the week to you all.

Jeri here the coaches discourage the kids from
using gadorade.which is a good thing.
Sharon glad we don't get the humidity that
you get there. The heat is bad enough(LOL)
BHR keeping your hubby in my prayers.
Had a nice day with Teresa. With her work and
the girls we don't get to spend as much time
together as we use to.They are going
to the coast next week.Kelsey is playing beach
volleyball in the summer games.Jess has decided
to go this time.

Hello,

Harriet, hope your surgery goes well today. I keep you in my prayers.

Jerrie, yes it is Lance Armstrong's last Tour de France. He shouldn't ride this one.He isn't able to follow the young riders anymore. In the overall standing he's 31 at 17 minutes.

It was my wife's last day at work before the summer holidays. This afternoon we got a heavy thunderstorm with many damages and floods. We are safe.

Kimberly, sorry for your soccerteam ... more luck in 2014. Hup Holland Hup !!! (blink)

Hello to everyone and enjoy the summer.

HI DEAR FRIENDS, I HAD PROMISED MYSELF I WOULD NOT POST AGAIN IF I HAD TO MENTION THE HEAT.  BUT...HERE I AM WHINING.  NOW THIS IS GETTING JUST RIDICULOUS, 115 TODAY, HIGHER PROMISED FOR THE WEEK-END, NOW IN ARIZONA, 100 PLUS DEGREES IS NOT NECESSARILY A KILLER...UNLESS YOU ADD HIGH HUMIDITY TO THAT, AND THAT IS OUR "MONSOON" SEASON.  THE OTHER DAY I WAS JUST OUT FOR A BIT FOR LUNCH WITH SOME FRIENDS, CAME OUT OF THE RESTAURANT..AND IT WAS 117 DEGREES INSIDE MY CAR.  COULDN'T TOUCH THE STEERING WHEEL OR SHIFT THING WITHOUT A CLOTH UNDER MY HANDS, OF COUSE THE AC COULDN'T CATCH UP WITH THAT BEFORE I GOT HOME, AND WHEN I CAME IN I WAS DIZZY, WEAK, AND HEART JUST POUNDING.  I HAVE ONLY RECENTLY STARTED A BLOOD PRESSURE MED, SO I WONDERED IF I WAS HAVING A REACTION TO IT, CALLED THE PHARMACIST (DR. OFFICE CLOSED), AND HE SAID IT WAS DEHYDRATION..AND HEAT EXHAUSTION...EXHAUSTION??  ALL I DID WAS WALK TO MY CAR!  ANYHOW, YOU CAN NEVER, EVER DRINK TOO MUCH WATER DOWN HERE IN THE SUMMER. YOU THINK YUR'RE DOING FINE AND THEN THE AMBULANCE COMES.   IT CLOUDS UP AND YOU THINK MAYBE IT WILL RAIN..BUT NO!  KNOW WHAT??  WHEN IT DOES IT WILL BE SO VIOLENT WE'LL BE RUNNING FOR THE ARK, CARS WILL FLOAT DOWN THE STREET, AND CACTUS WILL TUMBLE OVER...THEY WEIGH THOUSANDS OF POUNDS BY THE WAY, AND HAVE VERY SHALLOW ROOTS, NOT VERY GOOD PLANNING THERE (MUST HAVE BEEN A GOVERNMENT PROJECT).  YOU MAY REMEMBER MY TIRADE A FEW MONTHS BACK ABOUT HOW COLD AND RAINY AND WINDY IT WAS UP IN SOUTH DAKOTA IN MAY. BOY, WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE FOR A TEASPOON OF THAT.   I'VE GOT TO QUIT BEING THE BAD WEATHER GRANNY.  YOU ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS, I KNOW!!  YOU ARE ALL SO KIND ABOUT MY MEMORIES OF MY BROTHERS, YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD OF THEM TOO.
BLESS YOU ALL WITH HEALTH, JOY, AND MANY COOL BREEZES...

Good afternoon everyone.  I don't have time to address everyone, but wanted to "check" in.  It's hot and humid here too, it was 110 here today with thunderstorms all around.  Of course we didn't get but a dozen drops here and we don't have central air conditioning, but thankfully do have air in our bedroom.  I'm still working the census, and in this heat, it's really hard.  I keep a lot of water in the truck and, of course, drink tons of water.  There's 2 fires going here in So Cal from lightening strikes yesterday.  School is out until next month, and come heck or high water, I'm going to the Cheyenne concert the end of this month.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying as cool as possible, prayers and good thoughts to those of you who need them.
Hugs to all.

Hello, Friends. Way behind on reading & all my computer work. There is improvement in my implant surgery. But here I go again. I had developed an inflamed rt big toe & last night it was so red & swollen that they got me in to the dermatologist today where I had surgery to remove the inner third of my nail & clean up the are. Will be sitting with my foot up for awhile but may get some short periods of time on the computer with my foot up in a chair. Got a lot of reading to do & hope you all are all right. I really need some prayers & I appreciate them. It just seems like one thing after another.

All of you have a great weekend & I will catch up on reading your posts as soon as I can.

Love to All, AJ friends.

BHR , still praying for you and your dear husband. That was funny about your car dealership office.. would be nice to see.I know what you mean about Newnan business people, when I told them in a Restaurant I was a huge Alan Jackson Fan
(while staying at the ?Suites there once, while traveling w/my sister and coming from MS. Her hubby had to work out of that area for a week.Gov FAA) I got to see a lot of that place.Anyway, she was young and acted like who? lol
Loved that area and PeachTree too.I loved the restaurant we ate at, it was delicious food.
Jean/AZ sounds terribly Hot in AZ, Florida is hot too, but not too many days of 100 degrees here.. Thank God. We do have the humidity. I stay inside in summer w/Asthma, and use my treadmill to walk. Listen Jean/AZ, You can get a reflector
shade to put in your car window and you wont have that hot steering wheel and your car will cool off much more quickly.I
simply use mine, as it makes all the difference with the heated car.Mine just folds up and I lay it down by me when I drive.

Harriet, you sound like my husband and I for a while, remember.. Things came up one after another.. and now it's fine. First
Mom died, then I went in to Mayo, then I fell and cut my head open, then hubby ,I rushed him to emergency, it was his pancreas. It seems so weird that all that happened and while mom was ill, we made it fine..just exhausted.. I pray your
life will end this cycle too, and it will I'm sure. sometimes it seems endless but it will . Hugs to you, I hope you will feel much better soon.
Terry Great to see you posting! I hope it get cooler for you soon. Be sure to hydrate before you go outside and all the time, Jean/AZ you too.I drink water all day, even if only a sip. Terry hope you take care and while glad you are working, I hope you can go to the Concert you want to. Sue, Dizzy, Kathy, Nelle, Harriet, Terry,Elaine, BHR,Sharon and all of you  too, Kimberly, Alanfan, Brenda & caz, take care and keep cool, Hugs and prayers, Jerrie
Jean/B glad you are riding again and my regards to your wife..Take care.. Tammy & Dad and BHR and hubby, still praying for Ya! Always ,,,
