Thanks Beth for sharing that article...it was very heartwarming, and in the very essence of Alan! It made me mad this morning when I read the negative comment on cmt.com, from someone about this video, saying basically that Alan knows nothing about the "working man" since he is worth over $200 million and lives in a 38 million dollar mansion. Sounds like that person was very jealous.

Happy Father's Day to All Father's !!

Thanks Beth,

I am glad Alan and his Family had traditions they shared with their daughters. I was so much of a "Tom boy" type girl, I thought my Dad could do no wrong. I Miss him every Father's Day. He was killed in an auto wreck when I was in my late twenties. The memories he gave me, will last a Lifetime! He was my hero and believed in honesty. Our tradition was eating at Dad's Mom's and all the family came ,Mom made the best Chocolate Fudge cake and Dad loved to try and scare us
someway,LOL usually he was very serious and was an Elder in our Presbyterian Church all my life & Treasurer.
later we made homemade icecream & played croquet!

My daughter sent me this she thought it was nice..on Paula Deem and all she's endured. She is funny naturally, but I think at the awards, she had to go by the script and she isn't good at it.

I'm sure Alan and has daughters have a special time on Father's Day.  I just listened to his Freight Train CD this morning and it brings back alot of memories.  I to believe that some people are jealous of Alan, but he does know what it is like to be a working man.  I was so thrilled when I met his mother in 2003.  I can understand where his considerate ways come from.  Keep up the good work Alan, you always make us proud.

Such a touching story of Paula's daddy. Thanks so much for sharing. I still have my father and cherish every moment we spend together.
