Hello, Friends. It's already June- where has the time gone? I am pretty much hanging in there & appreciate the support & encouraging words from all of you. Hope every one had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Guess summer has officially arrived.
Jeri- Just wanted to let you know I am not dizzy or lightheaded- it is poor balance that causes me to fall.
Alan' s Hard Hat & A Hammer is moving on Mediabase & my stations here in Atlanta are playing it but not very frequently yet.

Harriet,
So great to start June off happy! I wish lol... j/k
Harriet, this test they do at Mayo here for balance is not just for dizziness. It is for any kind of off balance.. He knows my Dr, and his son in Memphis and he taught Dr. Shay in Memphis, this procedure. All I can say it works. However this Dr Shay Sr in Memphis is an eent specialist with people from all over the world come to him, it's his son..I had to wait a while for an appnt..in Memphis when I had my ear surgery done there. I have balance problems also, not just from dizziness. So perhaps if you could find a good Balance Dr in your state, it is worth it.Emory might have one. Falls are not fun, ask me. I just fell after Mother died & split my head open just, by simply falling in my house and fell over a magazine basket and hit my head on the corner of the door.I'm fine now but ouch! falling is not fun.Oh I forgot this is supposed to be happy time ha!
You wont believe my Memorial Day! Harriet lol we thought we would just relax & stay home. we had rain first and we had Just said "we had to call a tree surgeon and get our palms taken down", they are too close to the house. TWO! well guess what. one of them Fell and nearly scared me to death lol The wind was blowing rain and must have been diseased or suffered too many storms before. It will only cost us about five hundred or more lol. They come tomorrow ha!! it would be really funny, if we didn't have to pay. lucky noone was standing under them. They were tall, as over the house tall ha!
Back to discussing Alan's HHAH.. so glad it's starting to move.. It is going slow here too, but that is fine as long as it keeps moving. I just love that song! When they played it last night on Gator Country, Yea!I was so happy.. It sounds Great !!
Hubby is home have to cook & eat now. back to doing my wifey chores . I'm from the old wifey school ha! Take care and Everyone I hope you had a nice Memorial Day!.. Harriet my Sister's G-son graduated from Heritage this past weekend and they didn't have a rain date set up & it poured and the family could not stay.. it was lightning etc.. His Dad stayed w/him lol. Got to see my Sister and her husband traveling from there to FL. Always love to see them and she is way funny.I guess we did have a great Memorial Day , after all. Then later that night a guy on TV sang a Song to the Vietnam Veterans, and it made us cry lol, I know that sounds silly but those were hard times for us..Just Life!I really did think of all our Guys who serve and have served, with gratitude..I had three uncles in world war ll, but my Mother's twin sister 's is the only one who didn't come back. He was so handsome, she never re-married. She was a "Rosie the riveter" while he was at war..@ Fishers in Memphis, she put rivets in Airplanes. They told this at her passing a while back, about three years ago. I was so proud of her.Let's cheer up now!!!! Take care Everyone, Jerrie-FL-but MS born PS-Harriet, Nashville should have lots of Brides this June, if your topic holds true from last month Ha!

I didn't get mine yet boo hoo, That would cheer me up fast! I usually do get it really early. God bless the girls in the office with all that rain recently. I hope the office survived ok & the girls in the office and staff. And certainly Alan & Family.. We had our Palm trees taken down today and only cost 4 hundred for 2.. we want to put up something new and that will hold up well during hurricane season. Isn't that Interesting LOL I also got another HS graduation card today, they ALL came in the same year.. that makes about 5 now! Yo! Money always works, I never know what to buy as we haven't seen some of these in a while. Anyone else get lots of cards this time? Oh I hope my Newsletter come tomorrow for sure! I need some cheering up! Night all, Jerrie-MS (miss my mom today)

Elaine,
Thank God for that...we put those out years ago when the house was built. We were away so much the past ten years, noone checks your trees like you do for yourself, when they do your yardwork. we were going back & forth to check on my Mother then. I feel lost without going much now..I want to go put flowers out there soon..
My sister and her husband had just left when it started to rain and they had their caddy parked under the Tree oh mY! So glad it waited to fall. Both are gone now & we are doing the rest of clean up this weekend. A Huge truck came to do it , they had to use the driveway to get to the trees with that long thing that holds them, so they laid plywood down on the driveway to not crack it , I guess. That truck had to be heavy LOL. You wont believe this, but the Guy was a southern guy and nice , I gave him a Big glass of water, it was so hot out..and an Alan Jackson CD ( his new one ) LOL my husband said"You are not buying another one now lol. he was J/K me..It was so hot that day, about 90 something.
Oh yes, I got my newsletter TODAY THANKS CINDY & STAFF!..It was GREAT!! I wont say anything to spoil anyone's Surprise.. maybe ..I want Another Meet and Greet so bad, or up close seats, center isle,, I am so spoiled aren't I ha!.
I will try to find more photos of Alan's House.. I know I have so many.I just hope & pray they were not on the other Computer that was struck by lightning before we got this new one.I had several good ones.. It is so pretty..
Harriet, I hope you are still improving ! Dizzy, I can't take fan fair or whatever,as my Asthma wont allow and I go to a specialist for it.. It is worse as I get older now, came back from my youth.. My great grand mama had it..My sister doesn't have it nor my mom didn't. Dad either.I use meds & if that doesn't work when I'm out,the DR said go to the nearest Emergency.. Take care to all of you, miss Terry.. I hope she is fine and Sue also.. Oh yes! another graduation card today too LOL Anyone else? Jerrie-MS.............FL too ,,,,,,,, Heart is in <3 mississippi.... Gee glad I didn'tdie like Gary coleman.when I fell went to emergency Hubby rushedl..Harrriet be extra Careful

Hello to All. I'm doing well. Glad to be off that strong medication- I feel much better. Just heard Hard Hat & a Hammer on Kicks Country in Atlanta. E-mailed them & thanked them for playing it.
Kathy- Big congrats on your retirement. You will really enjoy it.
Jeri- I have had a complete neurological evauation a few years back & it looks like I'm stuck with this unsteady gait problem. It could be worse. At least I can walk. We recently had a lot of 'Tall tall trees' cut down in our back yard. Gives us peace of mind when there is a storm.
Elaine- Hope your weather improves. We have had a lot of rain too- it's always like that in Spring.
AJTexasfan- Haven' gotten my newsletter yet- looking forward to it.
Bought the entire George Jones Tribute from Amazon. I think Amazon has everything. I am going to enjoy this for years to come.

HI FRIENDS! WHERE DID MAY GO?? WELL, I GUESS I CAN ANSWER THAT IF I THINK ABOUT IT...BOTH ENDS OF MAY WERE TRAVEL TIMES FOR ME. FIRST WEEK I WENT TO WINDY, COLD, RAINY, SOUTH DAKOTA FOR ONE OF MY WONDERFUL GRANDSONS COLLEGE GRADUATION. I THINK I MENTIONED THE HORIZONTAL RAIN! AND I JUST RETURNED ON TUESDAY EVE. FROM 10 DAYS IN DOOR COUNTY WI. WITH MY NIECE LAURIE AND HER HUSBAND. IT WAS LOVELY, LOVELY WEATHER AND EVERYTHING WAS GREEN AND BLOOMING! I MISSED THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS BY A FEW DAYS, I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT WISCONSIN WAS SUCH A CHERRY-GROWING STATE. LAURIE AND STEVE ARE THE SWEETEST OF HOSTS, DROVE CLEAR TO MILWAUKEE TO PICK MY UP, AND BACK TO CATCH MY PLANE ON RETURN. NEXT TIME I AM GOING TO SEE WHAT CONNECTIONS I CAN MAKE THAT WILL SHORTEN THEIR TRIIP, EVEN IF IT MEANS CHANGING PLANES, I WOULD HAVE TO FLY IN TO EITHER GREEN BAY OR PERHAPS APPLETON. EVEN WHEN PLANE TRAVEL GOES SMOOTHLY, IT ALWAYS TAKES ME A COUPLE OF DAYS TO RECOVER MY ENERGY! WONDER IF DEHYDRATION HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. (COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE MY AGE, NOW, COULD IT.) LAURIE AND STEVE HAVE BUILT A RETIREMENT HOME IN A LITTLE COMMUNITY OF SISTER BAY. AFTER TEACHING FOR YEARS IN SPECIAL ED. IN CHICAGO SUBURBS, THEY HAVE SURELY EARNED THE PEACE AND QUIET.
THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE BASEBALL FANS WERE PROBABLY AS STRUCK BY THE DRAMA OF THE SHOULD-HAVE-BEEN-PERFECT GAME MISSED CALL BY THE UMPIRE. I THOUGHT ALL SIDES HANDLED IT WITH SPORTSMANSHIP AND CLASS. THE UMPIRE WAS CLEARLY SO SORRY, AND ACCEPTED THE BLAME. AND GALLARAGA, THE PITCHER, WAS THE ULTIMATE GENTLEMAN. HOPE WHEREVER HE PITCHES NEXT, HE GETS AN OVATION WHEN HE TAKES THE MOUND. HE COULD HAVE POUTED AND SCREAMED, BUT HE DIDN'T. MY TWINS CONTINUE TO DELIGHT ME (WELL MOST OF THE TIME) NO MATTER WHAT ELSE IS ON, I'M "FRONT ROW CENTER" WITH THEM.
THANKS AGAIN FOR STARTING THE NEW MONTH HARRIET, YOU ARE A GEM! YOU ALL STAY COOL NOW, WE ARE EXPECTING RECORD HEAT TODAY, AND THE SNOWBIRDS HAVE ALL FLOWN,. BUT WE HAD A WONDERFUL SPRING, VERY MODERATE...UNTIL TODAY. I HEAR MY AC HAS ALREADY KICKED IN. BE GOOD... jean/az(allALANalways)

Elaine, some rain is maybe excellent for the ground against the coming summer drought?
Jean Az, i'm still surprised what distances you have to do, in USA, for visiting your relatives. 100 miles is a big trip in Belgium. lol.

We're having some rain and a little bit cooler weather (although today it was 85F).
Everyone is this area is Blackhawks crazy with the Stanley Cup finals going on. Chicago hasn't won the Cup since 1961. As much as I like baseball, it's kind of secondary at the moment - especially since both teams are doing so poorly.
JeanB - you sound like you have had a busy retirement already. You deserve a break after this last project.
JeanAZ - glad you enjoyed Door County & the weather was good. I'll be going up there in September when my sister comes to visit from California. Can't wait. It was a shame about that almost perfect game, but you're right everyone handled it with dignity.
Harriet, glad you are off that strong medicine. Keep feeling better.
Read an article over at CMT and Alan's new video will debut the weekend of June 18. WOOHOO!!
