Blake Shelton Surprises Miranda Lambert With Wedding Proposal

Blake Shelton surprised Miranda Lambert with a wedding proposal on Sunday (May 9), according to People magazine. Lambert told the publication Shelton asked for her father's blessing before presenting her with a diamond-and-platinum ring. She immediately accepted the proposal, which took place in the woods near her home in Tishomingo, Okla. "Weddings are great and engagements are great and diamonds are especially great," Lambert told the publication. "But I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy." Shelton and Lambert have been together for five years.
