for him because he has helped golf a mighty lot...I used to go every year and sit on the 17th green

Hi, AJ Friends!

Thought I'd stop by, say 'hello' and see how you're all been doing. This is turning out to be a busy month for us, travel wise. Had a nice Mothers' Day weekend with family, now we're getting ready for another celebration. . .our 39th anniversary on Sunday. We'll be going to Biloxi, MS to celebrate at the Hard Rock Cafe and maybe play the slots too at the casino. :-) We thought about going to Florida at first, but decided on Biloxi instead as we're more familiar with the places there, for one thing. Then the end of the month we're planning on surprising my FIL for his birthday. And as I've told Harriet via email, we may yet move again. It's neither my hubby's nor my desire to do so but it may come down to us not having any choice. Hubby is being considered to manage another VA clinic here in GA located in a much smaller town than Newnan. . .Blairsville. Like I've said, neither one of us wanted to move again, but being hubby is now working at a higher position, this may come down to him being outright assigned there whether he likes it or not. This will also mean he will be working at 4 clinics and attending meetings/conferrences at the main hopsital too to boot every week. That will be a lot of driving for him to do with possibly no help with his gas expenses either. We're hoping and praying this will not come into fruition. There's been meetings going on about this for a little over two weeks now, I think, and hubby is still awaiting for the decision.

Harriet, I can't believe too that the specialist didn't go ahead and had you get an MRI. I'll be very careful with that Cortisone injection. When hubby hurt his heel (can't remember now if it was the left or the right one) the specialist that treated him also suggested and gave him Cortisone injection. But he also informed him that too much use of it is not good as it doesn't completely dissolve. Praying your shoulder feels better soon.

Nelle. thanks for the compliment on my AJ picture. That is one of my favorite among my collection of AJ photos.

Jean-Az, I must say, I enjoy reading your posts. The Twins are amazing. Wish the team my familyand I are and has been rooting for the past 16 or 17 years, the Seattle Mariners, are doing just as well. I told hubby earlier this evening that I think I'll be rooting for the Braves now. :-)

Kathy, don't feel too bad about the Cubbies. They're not the worst team in whole league right now. But I do share your frustrations.

Terry, glad things are working out for you right now, both job and school wise. One thing I don't think I'll ever understand about the census are people who just simply don't want to fill out and return their census form. Why?!? What's wrong with being counted in? Anyway, sorry to hear too that you had to miss this past weekend's (?) concerts.

Hi, Elaine, Dizzy, JeanB, Wabbit and everyone elseI had amiss to mention. Take care everyone and HUGS.

Hi AJ Fans,

Sharon, yes we are supposed to be a democracy. But if you can't build a house in the Flemish region becaus you are French speaking ... i have my doubts !
Happy belated birthday Sharon.

Harriet, i live in the Flemish part of Belgium. We are a very small country with six gouvernements. The Federal, Flemish, French, German, Flemish-Brussels and French-Brussels. What you think about that ! lol. Each gouvernement has ministers. We have about 50 i think. We have Federal elections on June 13. Voting is obliged.
Hope the cortisones helping you really.

Terry, a new trip to USA is not for this summer. I don't know when but a George Strait concert is still on my list.
My daughter and wife are oke. Her elbow and wrist are healing well. But it takes time. She's still at home from work.

Marilyn & Kathy, Clay Walker's "If i Could Make a Livin" is it a song of Alan Jackson ? I watched the video and i like that song very much. Same for the singer.

Elaine & Anita, watched a documentary on tv yesterday about Thompson, the Canadian explorator and cartographer. Very interesting information about your beautiful country.

Weather is turning definitive to Spring i think. Good news for my bike trips. Very busy weekend with the Special Olympics for my daughter.

See you later and take care everybody.
enjoy the weekend,
Jean

BHR
Hope the move/don't move works out for you.
I will be heading to Lexington on the 19th to take my bro for 2 Dr's appointments at the VA Hospital there.
Then back up o nthe 23rd so Alan can see me.  Wink
I think we will have to go to the Coopertown Hospital and then across town to the LeesTown one also.

I have heard the same thing about those shots. Not to get to many of them.
Hopefully this one will give you relief for a long time. I know they say the time varies too.

I know some people that didn't get Cenus's forms to mail back. They don't have a mailbox at home.
They weren't sent to PO boxes.
My own mailman didn't get one. LoL

This screen is jumping around and I can't see what I am typing, how weird.
Guess that's a hint to stop typing Embarrassed

TGIF!!!   After a couple days of cool, rainy weather (with minor flooding) it was a beautiful today. Supposed to be nice this weekend too.  This is definitely the best Spring we have had in the last couple of years.

Harriet, hope that cortisone shot helps.  I've had a couple of those in my feet many years back when I could hardly walk from bone spurs.  They were a life saver!

BHR, hope that move doesn't happen.  Didn't you just get to Newnan?   Moving is a such a pain.
Love, love, love your AJ picture - WOW!!

JeanB - your government sounds very complicated.  Glad your wife is doing better.

JeanA - sorry it was so cold for you up North.   Nothing like a cold, windy rain - it chills you to the bone.   Glad you had good family time though.   I'm sure 80 never felt so good!

Here it goes again - rolling screen.  Bye!

HI FRIENDS, DON'T WANT TO BE A GRUMP, BUT I AM NOT HAVING A BRILLIANT DAY.  READ TWO ARTICLES IN OUR PAPER THIS MORNING WHICH HAD ME TALKING TO MYSELF IN (1) ANGER, AND (2) DISBELIEF.  I WON'T GO INTO THE FIRST, BECAUSE THIS IS A FAMILY WEB-SITE.  BUT THE SECOND...CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT AN IOWA COURT ORDERED A FAMILY TO DIG UP A RELATIVE'S GRAVE, AND DONATE HIS HEAD TO THE CRYOGENIC LAB HERE IN ARIZONA TO BE FROZEN???  THE DEAD FELLOW HAD MADE ARRANGEMENTS (53.000 DOLLARS WORTH) FOR HIS HEAD TO BE FROZEN, BUT WHEN HE DIED HIS FAMILY REFUSED TO DO IT, AND WANTED THE MONEY BACK.  HE'S BEEN DEAD AND BURIED A YEAR.  DON'T YOU JUST WONDER SOMETIMES WHAT PASSES FOR PLAIN COMMON SENSE?Huh  HAVE'NT WE GOT ENOUGH FROZEN HEADS IN POLATICS?
TO ADD TO THAT, I AM NOW WATCHING MY BELOVED TWINS LOSE TO THE DEAR SWEET (LOL) YANKEES...AGAIN.  IT "AIN'T OVER TILL ITS OVER" OF COURSE, AND HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL IN MY TWINS LOVING HEART.  MAYBE A  MIRACLE WILL HAPPEN.
I HEAD FOR DOOR COUNTY WISCONSIN ON THURSDAY, SEEMS MAY IS TURNING INTO FLY-SOMEWHERE MONTH.  I TRUST AND BELIEVE IT WILL BE WARMER THAN SOUTH DAKOTA WAS.  BUT I'M GOING PREPARED FOR WHATEVER.  GOING TO SPEND A FEW DAYS WITH MY NIECE AND HER DEAR HUSBAND...LOVE 'EM BOTH.  WE'LL MANAGE TO ENJOY AND HAVE MORE THAN A FEW LAUGHS ALONG THE WAY.  AS LONG AS OUR HEADS DON'T FREEZE, I'LL BE HAPPY.

NOW YOU ALL STAY WARM AND WELL, AND KEEP SMILING...

Hello, Friends. Still can't post a lot & still having gradual progress. The Cortisone did help & enables me to space out the amount of pain medicine I take. But still have to type with my left hand only. I am thankful for the progress I've made & for the support of all of you great friends.
I have figured out how to put videos in my iPod & they look real good, even on that small screen. I have put in 3 of Alan's videos- Washed in the Blood/ I'll Fly Away, Remember When & Too Much of a Good Thing. These are some of my favorites.

BHR- I hope it will work out that you don't have to move. That is a great AJ picture in your signature.

Jeri- I have not had an MRI yet but I go back to the Shoulder Specialist on the 25th & if he doesn't see significant progress he will order one then.

Dizzy- Kathy pulls for the Cubs & I pull for the Braves but my Braves are in last place right now. After winning 4 in a row They lost last night.

Lisa- Be safe in your travels.

Elaine- I miss seeing Tiger playing too- I think it will take some time before we see him on a regular basis.I agree with Dizzy.

Jean-AZ-So sorry you had such an unfortunate turn of events- I feel for you.

JeanB- Have a great time cycling this summer

Kathy- The Cortisone really does make a difference. Sometimes its all you can do.

Sharon- Hope your dental infection clears up.

So glad Nashville is getting cleaned up & the Opry & Fan Fair will go on.

Morning AJ fans,

Jean, that is really unbelievable, you're right, where has common sense gone??  Enjoy your trip to Door Country.

Lisa, the census should have dropped off a form to your house just before April 1. Rural areas were all personally visited during the last phase with forms.  They are not delivered to PO boxes because nobody lives in a PO box...LOL  In our area, if a person moves they can keep the same PO box.  This phase of the census is to count the people that didn't return a form for what ever reason, most are ones that have forgotten, sent it in late, or didn't get one at all.  I'll miss seeing you next weekend in Lexington.  I have a ticket but can't take the time off from the census.

Jean, good to hear your wife and daughter are doing good.  Hope you get to see George someday.

BHR, congrats on your anniversary.  How far a move will it be this time if you have to move?

Harriet, I've had those shots many years ago before they did surgery on my left shoulder.  Hope they help.

Sharon, our weather has been up and down too, one day we have the air on, the next we are building a fire.

I have been super busy (so what's new) with working 40 hours with the census, still working with a couple clients with my other job, plus it's final's time in my classes.  Sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going.  I will be missing going to next weekend's concerts again.  I have tickets for all the shows, but just don't want to take the time off from the census since it's a temp job.  I'm sure there will be more dates added in the fall and I'm going to the one in Wyoming in July for sure, even if I'm still working the census.

If any of you haven't turned in your census, please welcome the census worker that will be visiting you.  Most that haven't been counted either forgot to send the form in, sent it late, or didn't get a form at all.

I got high speed satellite internet installed yesterday...FINALLY!!!  YEEHAW

Hope everyone has a great week, hugs to all.

JeanB asked: Marilyn & Kathy, Clay Walker's "If i Could Make a Livin" is it a song of Alan Jackson ? I watched the video and i like that song very much. Same for the singer.

JeanB, that is a song Alan wrote but let Clay release as a single.
You can 'feel' the AJ vibes and it is a great upbeat tune.

wabbit101, you are mistaken about the census forms being delivered to
addresses and not P O Boxes.   We only have a P O Box uptown for mail
and we recvd ours very early when they mailed them.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I can't enjoy much of anything, thinking about my family's situation. sorry don't mean to bring anyone down but it was raining again Sunday & more damage..

Terry, how do you do it, work 40 hrs a week etc.. You take care..
Marilyn, I think it was Alan's song.. that Clay Walker recorded, yes! He is so cute too. He has another hit I like also.
Jean/B sorry you haven't seen George Strait, he was great when younger especially, that's when I saw him. His Band makes him sound even better with that Texas swing sound, it's his only Band all the years, I think.
Jean/Az enjoy your getaway again..stay warm this trip!
Sharon, I hope your family is fine in TN..
Harriet, hope you feel better soon. the Opry will go on but in some areas near there , it will be months before it clears. My son had more rain yesterday and more water damage seeped in and ruined more drywall. It will be months before some people recover or more. Thye just had a thing raising more money for my son's area .. it's on;

http://www.gactv.com/gac/pac_ctnt/text/0,,GAC_26058_98169,00.html

It under more video's- Julie Roberts.. sounds more like at his house. Lots more help is needed & the Mayor came out to my Son's house. Some homes perfectly fine if up on a hill and his is regular yard, so all the water drained down the hills on his house. This is in the same Neighborhood.. I can't relax knowing they are living in this with babies.. They can't leave as my son has to work and want to be there in case they get water in house, they can stop it and remove wet drywall before it mildews. a shame the Babies can't be here with us.. They can't be away from their Mom so little..Looks like Brad & family had water in their house too & Dierks Bently. I am a wreck as Grand ma ma..Huge house payment like one thousand monthly + and unlivable.a shame..I want to help so much but can't leave my hubby alone now..or be in this with Asthma.I send help for them all I can. Prayers for all these people. The Singers have money and can get things done but I still feel bad for them too.No one knows how it feels, unless they go through it.
Harriet, have you heard from Kay lately? I lost her address in my last computer.I think of her always. She loved Alan's music so much. She was really nice to help get info out to new Fans etc..miss her.
Got to run and see if I can find a place to send food etc to my son & family. it will help them feel better at least.
Elaine I hope you are fine and Nelle too. I will post more when I feel more uplifting, Jerrie FL& MS

Hi all,
Dizzy I thought you had wireless?
Jean B...good luck to your daughter.
Harriet, oh my you have had your health issues.  Hope your pain goes away soon.  Pain is so exhausting.
Kathy, we have had a wonderful spring too.  I agree it's been years.
Terry, glad you have census work.  I could never go back to dialup......
Jerrie, sorry about all the troubles your son continues to have.
Moving, moving, moving.......almost done.  Did the big move on Saturday with the movers.  Now finishing up with the little things.  Will do the final cleaning this weekend.
Oh I'm exhausted with work and all.  Tad sad to be leaving a house I love but it's time to downsize.  Six more nights and then we are homeless for a couple of months!
Hugs to all.

Dizzy, my TV went off yesterday and My husband will go by today the office, to see what the problem is..This new HD is a mess if power goes off or turned off like I did. I may have touched a button and didn't know it. You can go to the  cable website and they can tell you how to trobleshoot it.. it may have to have  another Box we are getting a new one. If you can't do it call your cable co. the number is listed on your bill , where to call to troubleshoot it or call and ask live questions.
I din't think I watched much TV but I used it when not even looking for company  ha! I miss my TV.. wow is me lol
