BHR,

So sorry about your Asthma, I understand and I don't go to outside Venues unless it's convenient and cool.
Asthma can be very serious for me. Good you had albuterol, it's really good. I take medication always and see Drs.
Sorry Harriet fell and hurt her shoulder again. My poor Sister fractured hers, just falling in  McDonalds. She is my older Sister..
I hope Harriet will be ok, sometimes a fracture is more painfu,l than a break at times.. I hope she will feel better soon.
Must be a lot of walking at that Venue.. St Augustine isn't that much for us, we went early & parked right by the gate.

The Concert sounds great at least, I know you all enjoyed it.. too bad you didn't get a Meet & Greet. some of you.

I heard Alan say on TV when being interviewed that he had a fall Tour too, so maybe  my husband will feel up to going to that one. Mostly tests keeps us sitting in Drs offices all day.. but I wont leave him here alone to cook for himself..

I hope Alan will be in Nashville in the fall or near MS or here in Jacksonville,.Florida Theater is so nice and cozy, the band would love performing there as the acoustics are great and it's not as large..Alan would love it too. George Strait performs here a lot..and  other big Singers.. who like intimate Venues..

Harriet if you are reading this , get better soon.! So sorry you had a rough night after a wonderful concert..You may have to stick to indoor like me. However we enjoyed the Venue at St Augustine..
BHR thanks for posting & feel better soon. If your throat seems like it's closing, I have used Benedryl. Go to emergency if bad, however.. It is an antihistamine and opens the breathing passages. It's that season again  now for Allergy & asthma..
Take care, Jerrie-FL

So sorry to hear about Evie's death.  She will be missed.  Thinking of you too, Elaine.  We become close to our cyber friends.
Also sorry to hear about your fall Harriet.  I hope you're able to read the boards even if you can't post.  You're in my prayers.
I posted on the Tour section about the Greenville show.  I will just say it was fabulous, and fun to stay with Terry, Louann, and Debbie.  Poor girls were winding down after a very BUSY weekend, and I think it all caught up to them Sunday night.  They had my sympathy to have to travel home on Monday.
I have a busy week this week, so may not post, but y'all are in my thoughts.
Have a good Tuesday.

HI FRIENDS, ELAINE, I AM SO VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF EVIE'S PASSING, SHE WILL BE SO MISSED HERE, MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH HER LOVED ONES.

I SURE DO ENJOY ALL THE POSTINGS WITH SUCH GREAT PICTURES OF ALAN, ETC.  MINE ARE PRETTY PLAIN JANE IN COMPARISON.  BUT THAT'S OK, ITS STILL FROM THE HEART!

CAN YOU IMAGINE MY ABSOLUTE JOY IN BEING ABLE TO WATCH ON TV MY BELOVED "TWINS" IN THEIR OPENING DAY GAME IN THAT TRULY BEAUTIFUL NEW BALL PARK??  I TELL YOU, I GOT GOOSE BUMPS AND TEARS, THE LOVELY WARM DAY, SEEING MY LADS WIN, AND JASON KUBEL HITTING THE FIRST HOME RUN EVER THERE.  YOU KNOW, THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON IN THE WORLD THAT GRIEVES US, THAT SEEING SO MANY PEOPLE OUT TO HAVE A PURELY DELIGHTFUL TIME, CHEERING, SINGING THE ANTHEM, AND "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME", ETC, ALL THOSE THINGS THAT REMIND US OF BETTER TIMES AND BETTER DAYS TO COME.  I KNOW I'VE SAID IT BEFORE, BUT SPORTS, AND BASEBALL IN PARTICULAR, ARE THE ONLY THINGS I REALLY UNDERSTAND ANYMORE.  THE ONLY THINGS THAT SEEM TO ABIDE BY THE RULES!!!  BUT, IF I HAVE TO HEAR OR SEE ONE MORE SPOILED BRAT ATHLETE STAND UP AND READ A MISERABLE "APOLOGY" AND VOW TO BE A "BETTER MAN", I MAY THROW UP.  ENOUGH ALREADY, DON'T JUST TALK. PROVE IT.

WASN'T PHIL MICHELSON'S TRIUMPH AT THE MASTERS A THRILLER?  I KEPT THINKING HE MIGHT SHOOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT IN THE LAST ROUND, AS HE IS PRONE TO DO, BUT HE CAME THRU A REAL "MASTER".  AND WHAT A WARM AND TOUCHING MOMENT WITH HIS WIFE THERE.  I PRAY SHE WILL BE WELL,  AS WELL AS ALL OTHERS FIGHTING THAT DISEASE.

OH DEAR, I BEST GET OFF TO THE SUPERMARKET, GRANNYS DO NOT LIVE BY BASEBALL ALONE IT SEEMS.  NOT MY FAVORITE TASK, BUT WANDERING AROUND THE AISLES IS EXCERCISE...I GUESS.  PRETTY FORTUNATE, AREN'T WE..TO BE ABLE TO GO AND HAVE SUCH ABUNDANCE TO CHOOSE FROM   SO ..NOT TO COMPLAIN.

THOSE OF YOU GOING TO AN ALAN CONCERT, ENJOY!!!  AND ALL OF YOU, BE WELL, BE WARM, AND KEEP SMILING...

Elaine, I am so sorry and saddened to hear of Evie's passing, she was such a wonderful person.  We used to email often especially the first year I was on the board.  She will be deeply missed.  My prayers for her family and for you.  I know you were great friends and she helped you a lot during the time after George's passing.  Hugs to you.

Made it home about midnight last night.  Have tons of stuff to do today before leaving again tomorrow.

BHR, so sorry about your breathing issues Saturday at the concert.  It was nice seeing you, your husband, and son again.

Harriet, hope you are doing better, wondered why you hadn't posted since the concert.  It was nice seeing you again too.  Take care of that shoulder and post when you can.

My husband's best friend had a massive heart attack a few days ago and they are keeping him in an induced coma after surgery.  Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Sharon off to read your tour posting when I
finiish here.Glad you had a good time.
Nelle nice to have you posting.Missed
you.
Jean I agree it was a good win for Phil Michelson.
That was the first traveling his wife and mother
have done in 11 months. It would be hard enough
to go through cancer with one but for him having his
mother and wife both fighting it is a heavy load to carry.
Having another dreary day.

Hello everybody,

Elaine, thanks for letting know about the sad news of Evie. My condolences to the family.

BHR, take care of your allergy.

Harriet, wish you a speedy recovery.

Terry, send prayers to hubby's friend.

I enjoyed my bike ride in spite of the bad weather conditions. There wasen't a classification by the "tourists". By the professionals Lance Armstrong was 27th. They did 195 miles
I haven't much time to come on the board this days. Last thursday my wife got surgery on her right arm. A tenniselbow and a tendon inflamation on the thumb. Till sunday she had a lot of pain. Today the pain is almost over. Her arm is complete in a plaster bandage. So she can't use only her left arm and all the domestical tasks are for me . Aswell the garden, shopping, etc. But i do it with pleasure. They take the plaster bandage away the 24th. of this month.
I haven't read all the post. I'll do it this evening.

Have a nice day everyone,
take care

Jean

Terry,

So happy to know you got home safely! You are going to be tired to go to the Big Day for Alan getting his Star!
How do you do it girl!! You really had a run of great concerts and now Alan's Big Day soon! I'm so happy for You!
I'm so sorry for your husbands's friend, they induce a comma at times, for surgery. I Indeed pray all goes well for him.
Jean/az , nice to hear your excitement over baseball! You always appreciate your life so much and it's nice to read.
Yes Phil Michelson did have a great win and I am so happy for him w/His wife fighting Cancer & Elaine said his Mom also.
Tiger may do well, once his life is back as it should be. But I'm happy that  Michelson won this one, not that I wanted Tiger to lose. Michelson has come so close before, and lost it at the end.
I hope Harriet is feeling better now, so sorry this happened after her concert in Atlanta! I know she enjoyed that Concert.

My husband and I spent all day in DRs offices yesterday, getting set for more tests. he is getting tired of so many. The Thyroid wil be a sonogram first, then a possible biopsy. It's according to what they find. he is also getting treated by a specialist for his diabetes, so that should do better. All these things just seem to come up all of the sudden, he looks young, but a bit dark around his eyes. even the Drs said he didn't look  his age.

Can't wait to see Alan tonight on Jay Leno show! I only sit up that late for Alan ha! Terry be sure and Post asap about Alan's getting his Star. I wish we didn't have all these tests coming up and my husband not well and we would be there. Would be so nice to celebrate this big day with Alan and family and friends and see it with him Live.. Terry take lots of Photos..if possible. Might want to dressup for this Special Day for Alan. You always look great, don't see how you do it
traveling so much. I would have a bad hair day or something myself. ha!

Jean/b , so sorry about your wife's arm. I hope the pain will be less each day, so sorry. You sound like a great husband to step in and do all the chores for her. She has to be a very good wife to you too.I hope her arm will contunue to heal and be better and she can use it.It is just something husbands and wives do when a partner is not up to doing for themselves.
Soon her cast will come off and she will really be glad for that I'm sure.. Take care and  Bless you for being a good husband to her..I am going through the same with my husband being ill but happy to do things for him when ill. Thats what Love is all about.
Take care to all, Today is high pollen count here, so I will be staying Inside.. Everyone who is ill, get better soon. Terry be careful traveling  but Enjoy! BHR take care of that Asthma, I am having to take extra precautions now , it's the season for it. Have you seen a specialist for your asthma? it helps. I am on medication, always and albuterol & still deal w/it.
Prayers to all who need them and a safe trip for You Terry.. Enjoy it!
Take care all of you Fans, Jeri-FL

Jean, glad to hear you had a good ride in spite of the weather.  My son and daughter-in-law are riding in the BP MS 150 this weekend and we get to keep the grandkids.
I hope your wife's arm heals quickly.  I am sure you are a big help to her.  You really find out all the little things you do with your hands when you cannot use them!!  My husband had to do that for me last year when I had hand surgery.
Harriet, hope you are doing better.
BHR hope you have recovered from your allergies.
Terry - prayers for your hubby's friend.  You have fun at Jay Leno and Alan getting his star.  Can't wait to read your report!

I'm home for a couple of days this week making phone calls & getting my retirement plans started.  Lots of paperwork will be coming my way in short order.  I'm excited and a little scared at the same time.  It's a big step, but one I'm ready for.

JeanB, glad to hear you had a nice ride.  Best wishes to your wife for a speedy recovery - glad the pain has diminished.  You'll be one busy husband for awhile.

JeanAZ, so glad baseball season is finally here.  Hope both of our teams do well this year!

Terry, so sorry to hear about your husband's friend.  Have fun with Alan this week - can't wait to read your reports on the Leno show & the Star ceremony.   How exciting!!
