HI! I am going to Nashville, TN by myself and I bid on an auction that benifits the Country Radio Broadcaster's Country Music DJ & Radio Hall of Fame through the CRB (Country Radio Broadcasters organization) For two people, I won front row table, a real nice lunch and meet and greets with Danny Gokey and it was also going to be a meet and greet with Alan but his managers pulled him from the meet and greet. Alan is still suppose to perform and will be there so I thought I would ask if anyone in his fan club would be interested in buying the second spot for this event? It cost me $143.00 per spot and only 8 non-radio people will be there and get the meet and greets. I really can't afford it but I bid on it when it included a meet and greet with Alan and I was so excited as I have never got to meet him and I collect sheet music and would have loved to have him sign one for me. I have bought a couple of pieces of sheet music he has signed through auctions so I will still try to do that but it is not one of the perks of the auction I won now. I wanted to give someone here a chance at this if anyone is interested. I am not sure how you are allowed to contact members on this board. If someone is interested you would have to meet me at the Renaissance Hotel on Thursday, February 25th by around 11:00 or 11:30 central time as you would have to be my guest and we are escorted to the ballroom where the luncheon and show/meet and greets take place. The dinner is from 12:30 to 2:20 Central time.
 Thank you

Hello,

I would have love to have went this year.  I went to this event last year with the other artist and you will have the time of your life!!!  I didn't bid because I couldn't find anyone to go either.  With it being last minute it was really expensive to fly and get a room at the last minute.  Chasity is a really sweet lady and she will take good care of you.  Take a camera and something to get signed as you walk around Nashville.  I ran into some many artist it was crazy!!!

Hi there! I remember you, I was at those luncheons and shows last year too. I ended up letting a friend in Nashville use the other ticket so I paid double to do the luncheons but that is the way it goes. I had a wonderful week in Nashville and Alan's show was awsome!!! He was very funny and sang what ever the crowd wanted or a few of the songs they requested. I finally got a guitar pick so after years of trying I was happy even though we didn't get to do a meet and greet. I got the hand written song list that they didn't follow (so much for that) but it was such a great show. I wish I could have been involved in the country music fan clubs back when Alan was getting started but I had to get my two girls raised and out on their own before I got to do fun stuff like that. I would have had a much better chance at a meet and greet back then. Smiley

Thanks for the update on how it happened and that you Did have company, too!
I didn't realize the fans could attend these things. I'd love to have known about
this op when it was offered.  Being retired I can go almost anytime... just depends
on the timeframe and date. Wink

I was on Twitter a few mins before Alan sang...and they asked for our fav songs
I love them all but suggested Remember When...so I 'll just consider that he did
if at My request. ha  Saw it listed on the news item on his site here as one that
he sang!

I've never met Alan, either, and I've been following his career since his first
video appeared!  I did get to hold Alan's hand once (in Peoria, IL) back in '95
and I didn't want to let go... He had to as he was singing...and then I automatically
reclapsed his hand and he gave me that little boy laugh like he was in trouble and
let me hold his hand just a little bit longer before he turned to head back to the
center mic.  Wink  So I have that memory but would love to get one m&g someday.

I saw a lot of phone photos one of the Decatur IL DJs posted on his facebook but
those are pretty much 'glaring white' of most of the singers he took pics of...

Mar, that's a great memory! Did you sign up for the Meet & Greet (and for the Front Seat Ticket too) at Alan's concert in your venue? This might be your lucky chance to meet him. . .finally. :-) Good Luck!

Thanks, BHR, I surely did sign up for the m&g op...
Will pass out if I get one...truly. No, not really...wouldn't
want that to be heard by those assigning them.
Thanks again for making sure I saw this op, BHR
