I have tickets to Alan's show in Kettering OH in two weeks, and was just wondering if anyone has been to a show recently and what type of stuff he sings. Is it mostly his newer bluegrass & gospel, his older hits, or a nice mix of the old and new. I like his new stuff and think he's perfect for bluegrass but grew up on his 90's country, and really hope he plays that as well.

I have not been to a concert lately but am going to Caesar's Windsor on September 5th and would be really disappointed if he did not sing the old stuff.  I doubt he'll do his Gospel, although I have both I and II Volumes with the DVD of I.  I like Bluegrass but would die if it was all that.  I'm a  very OLD fan of Alan's and would be very happy if it was simply Alan and the Strayhorn's music  That lower's my blood pressure and makes me feel very much at ease.  No matter what, Alan is perfect at his concerts and never ceases to entertain.  You'll love it NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!

At the concert I attended in April,   AJ did his old music....NO  Gospel or Bluegrass......
As always, he was great!

I would love it if Alan sang songs from his Bluegrass and Gospel Albums at his concerts!  Mix in a bit of everything.  How cool would that be?

Paul and I saw Alan Friday night, thanks to some wonderful friends who won front row seats and thought to email us that they had 2 extra tickets.

Here's what I remember:

Gone Country
Tooth
Livin
Summertime
Blues Man
Whos Cheatin
Little Bitty
Drive
WWY
Jukebox
Real world
Popatop
As she's walkin away
Remember when
Its five oclock somewhere
Good Time
Chattahoochee
Where I come from
Mercury blues

I might have missed one or two,  and not particularly all in order but this was most if not all from the concert in at the music fest in Bethlehem on Friday night.

Also I have heard Alan perform a gospel song in concert.  In the past it was usually if he had a Sunday night concert and he would sometimes say he is playing it for his Mama.  And every once in awhile you get really lucky and here him sing Seven Bridges Road.

Enjoy the show,
Hope

I just saw Alan last night at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario.  Like always, awesome concert.  That list that HopeRothrock posted above is exactly the same as what he sang at our concert.  AnitaMartina

Is anyone familiar with the Pancho Villa  Pavilion  at Celebrate Virginia in Fredericksburg?  We  have 2 nd row seats in Platinum area , but will  the Pit  ticket  people block our view?  The seating chart I pulled up does not show Pit spaces, but there were Pit tickets for sale at same price of Platinum sections.

Thanks..I did pull up the seating chart, which does not show pit area, but the ticket choices  do include Pit Pass, which includes access to pit area in front of stage....no seats.  Maybe  I should have  bought the Pit Pass to be closer to AJ, since I like standing and moving to his music.....BUT, I 'm not sure I could do that the entire concert...might need a seat!!!!  I'm just excited to have the Platinum Experience...at least I can sit if needed!

I saw Alan at the Havelock Jamboree this weekend he was great. He sang some older songs and newer (Good Times) (Where were you when the world stopped turning) so was a good show. Only wished I could have seen him up closer.
Security kept telling me to move wherever I stood. A great man, singer and family man. I respect him a lot.
