This is so frustrating!  There is a  Caesars pre-sale this morning, I thought I had reserved 3 seats only to find they disappeared within seconds.  It was 3rd row, now there is nothing there that I would pay $150 for.

The fan club is vague as to whether or not the fc pre-sale tomorrow is really available only with the "special VIP packages".  I cannot pay $500 a ticket, this is crazy.  What happened to the old days, it was so easy -- and so much less expensive -- to get fan club tickets.  I have left a few messages for the fan club but so far no return call.

I am not liking this!  I've been a fc member since '04, love Alan, never had a meet and greet, probably never will at this rate and at these prices!

The pre-sale today has nothing to do with the fan club, it's from the casino.  The password is ESCAPE.  Try it and good luck!

Annie, I never got an email from the fc to say that the pre-sale was tomorrow, saw it on the fc page.  Sure hope they will have regular tickets for us!

Well, I bought mine from the casino pre-sale, got 13th row center.  Not happy though.  I did get an email from Cindy saying that there were no fan club pre-sale tickets available for this show.  I guess you just need to pay $500 or more to get what we used to get for regular price.

And I thought fans meant something to Alan.  I am just so disappointed. Sad

We'll I've been in the fan club forever and have had pretty good luck with concert seats except for once last year:( I'm disappointed with no fanclub seats available for this show bc I never got an email on the Hersey PA shoe and found out about it the day after fanclub tickets were sold, so depressed bc Alan hasn't been very close to me in quite a while, I did get lucky with a VIP at Carnegie hall last fall but it cost me a fortune, hotel in NY and a 5 1/2 hr trip:(

CarolD36, I understand your frustration. . . .and I'm not a big fan of the VIP tickets myself, but, please don't think that Alan alone has anything to do with the high cost of concert tickets. I still remember back in the early '90s when Alan said in an interview that he didn't like his fans paying so much to see him and his show. That he knew its hard earned money that his fans are using to pay for their tickets to his show. I think he still feels the same way today to a certain extent. Ticket prices are not solely decided on by the artists, or at all. It is largely based on the venue and how much its management charges for any artists to do a concert at their facility. . . .and that's to include their expenses to meet any amenities the artists may request for (e.g. catered food, etc.) himself/herself, his/her band and his/her crew, which, I'm sure is overpriced to make extra profit off of the artists and their management people. The higher the venues managements charges the higher the tickets will be sold for. Unfortunately too, the bigger and more popular the artists are, the higher the venues managements will be charging for the use of their facility. One reason I've heard so many times is that they have to be financially prepared for any damages done to their facility by concertgoers or the artists and their people.  And to add insult to concertgoers/fans who are already scraping their money to afford to buy these concert tickets, the ticket sellers themselves are not helping with adding ridiculous service fees to already costly ticket prices. I think if there's anything at all that Alan can do that would benefit both his fans, management people, everyone who works for him and himself to lower the ticket prices to a more affordable level, he'll do it in a heartbeat. I can almost assure you that Alan is paying attention to all the feedbacks that fans' forums generates on this issue.

I agree, BigHuskersRed!  I think Alan does appreciate his fans and, as he said on CMT Awards Show, feels blessed.  If there is anything he can do to keep ticket prices down for fans, he will.  But, I don't think he has complete control over this.
At the same time, I can  understand the frustration and disappointment that CarolID36 and others experienced on this occasion.
I do truly believe Alan cares about his fans and will do what HE  can to make his concerts affordable for them!

Venue was small and intimate.  I never saw any notice of fan club seats but we were lucky enough to get a couple great seats the day of the show as we were at the Jersey shore.
