Thanks, AJTexasfan, LOUIEFL, Harriett and Sharon. Harriett, I have just sent you an email. Thanks for the help you offered. We appreciate that very much.

Have to make a little correction on the info I gave. Hubby actually will be working at 2 community clinics that the VA health center system have affiliation with, commuting from one place to the other. Had to laugh when hubby told me where he'll be working at. One is in Smyrna and other is in "a small town north of Atlanta named Newnan," he said. He asked me what was so funny. After I told him that Newnan is Alan's hometown and where his Mom still lives in the same house he grew up in, he gave me a loud groan. LOL! Guess I'll finally see that house. I've only seen it in pictures.

Well, I've got to go bed. Best get started tomorrow preparing for the move. That will at least keep my mind off the surgery for the moment. Take care, friends.

Still great summerweather in Belgium. Go ride my bycicle tomorrow and after that i'll crack a good bottle of champagne. It's my wife's birthday ! I don't know what to offer? I'll give her some Euro bills, if i find some! The kitchen you know! lol.

Jeri, hope you stay safe of the hurricanes.

Sue, nice signature picture.

Terry, Sometimes i wonder how it's possible that you have still so many forests in Cal.?
Next time i come to US i redo your bathroom !lol.
Great news for Sara about nursing & Trace.
Greatings to Sara, Misty and hubby from us all.

BHR, fantastic news for hubby. I keep you in my prayers.
Too funny the Newman story !lol.

Elaine, i found a nice internetradio: "Country 105FM Radio Calgary". Great music all day long ! They play "Sissy's Song" on this moment. Coincidence!
May i ask who Georgie is?

Harriet, Sharon, AJTexasfan, Louann, Kathy, everybody i missed .. hello to you all;

btw. is there someone who heared from Jean A ( luvthataj)?

Enjoy the weekend,

Hi to all AJ fans,
Relief that the hurricane stayed away keeping Jeri and Sharon safe.   Although it seems like they had to do some water rescuing.  They didn't have to go in and get you two out did they?  LOL
Louiefl, I'm with you....no hurricanes for early part of October.  I'm thinking of someone very special who I have plans to see too. HMMMM  I wonder if we are thinking the same thing? (miss the platinium board too)
BHR, thinking of you.  May your surgery go well and you have a quick recovery.  Take care of yourself first, others can do the moving.  Must be stressful, so relax, easy for me to say.  Harriet will gain an AJ concert partner!  Have fun discovering Newnan.
JeanB, we've had a cool summer in Minnesota.  Happy birthday to your wife.  I've never shied away from a sip of champagne.
Terry, how did Sara's  meeting with Trace go?  Perfect timing!
Elaine, poor Georgie, thunder scares many dogs.  I know my hubby gave many tranquilizer pills to his clients' pets because of thunder storms.  Also the 4th with so many firecrackers caused anxiety with many pets too.
Harriet, glad you got your color.....I'm a color person!  Kathy, keep trying.
Yesterday was perfect.  I got to spend it with my little man.  Oh my he's busy, we went to the park, read books, blew bubbles, played in the sand, threw rocks off the dock, played with his train set, and had a root beer float.  I'm exhausted but loved every minute of it.  (Do miss the cuddle times as he's just too busy for those)
Last night we went out to dinner and then dancing to our favorite Beatles band.
Safe travel to all who are attending Alan's concerts this week:  Jinx, Sharon, Terry, and others.
Hugs.

Hi Y'all,
I'm finally catching up some from a very busy weekend.  Don't know why, but woke up after a couple hours sleep, so thought I'd check out the website, etc.
Started off Friday driving up to Charlotte, did some shopping at Concord Mills.  I can't believe how much that area has grown.  Met up with Terry & her friend at the concert, then Waffle House afterwards.  The Hampton was practically full Friday night.  Jonas Brothers were also playing in Charlotte.  I met some sweet girls Saturday morning who had been to the concert.  Found out Miley Cyrus is gonna be in Charlotte in a couple of months.  My gd loves Miley.
After driving home Saturday morning, I met up with our senior group for a trip from Bryson City on the Smokie Mountain Railroad.  I ended up taking my car, because we had a van full.  So a couple rode with me.  Laughed at the Mystery play and enjoyed a delicious prime rib dinner.  Then today had my turn in the nursery at church, had to have help because we had 8 children 3 and under.  Then met my sweet hubby at another church for homecoming dinner.  I did get a nap in for about an hour and my son and gs came over for a visit.
As I said it was a busy weekend, but so much fun.  I'm truly blessed.
Glad Bill decided to move off out to sea, but we need the rain from a tropical storm.  Sorry about the tornadoes in the mid west.  Hope y'all that way have been safe.
Good to see your post CAZ, good luck with the exams.  How long of a break do you have?
Y'all have a good Monday.

Sharon,

You sound like me in my earlier years. They started referring to me as"The Church Lady" I seemed to be going & doing so much.
I have had to cut back more now to spend more time with my husband and his needs. He is scheduled to have a cathererization
of his heart soon, He has only one artery that may be blocked, but he is getting a great Dr before doing this. could have to have a stent, hopefully not. we consult them this week for scheduling.
Sharon glad you got to see Terry and her friend , sounds like you had a very busy weekend but fun.

You were speaking of Miley Cyrus, my son married a girl who has lived in Nashvile all her life, and her son went to school with Miley
for years until she became a big Star. They said she is a really nice girl and her father is good too. The press is awful to run with anything to make anyone look bad..I never listen to gossip. She was really smart in school he said & nice. I hope she stays that way.
Sue, I can tell you are younger than us, we belong to a Country Club and haven't been dancing in years unless it's a special holiday or gala of some kind. it keeps you young, keep it up! we seem to have less time for anything with grand children lol, I wish I could see mine in Nashville as much as you do Sue. they do get so busy that they wont cuddle as much, so much energy. I will see mine in october sometimes, when they go to their timeshare at cocoa beach. If it's about time for Alan's Concert, we may meet them and get them a room and enjoy the beach.
Back to work this week after having my teens visit, my ear is still giving me a bit of problems dizzy at times. have to have that checked this week too, before the concert for sure.
I already miss my teens girls so much. Take care everyone, Jeri
Elaine I know your little doggie is a comfort to you & my mom got one after Dad passed, to not feel so alone. it becomes like your child almost. Mom would never let us have a dog inside before, but hers was such a help to her. She went to work after Dad passed and worked until she got ill. she is ninety now.Yo! doesn't look it at all. My Sis is visiting w/her hubby now.

HI FRIENDS...I FINALLY MANAGED TO GET ON THE NEW BOARD!!  MY GOODNESS, I THOUGHT IT WOULD TAKE AN ACT OF CONGRESS THERE FOR AWHILE, BUT GOT A REPLY FOR MY DESPERATE PLEAS FROM CINDY, AND IT FINALLY WORKED.  I WAS NEARLY READY TO GIVE IT UP, INVALID THIS AND THAT, ETC.  BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE REALLY NICE ONCE I NAVIGATE ALL OVER IT.  BUT I MISSED YOU ALL MOST OF ALL.  GOING TO TRY TO "CATCH UP" IF I CAN!

REMEMBER ME TELLING YOU ABOUT THE BASEBALL WEEKEND IN MINNEAPOIS WITH MY SONS AND GRANDSONS??  IT WAS JUST A BLAST!  THE FIRST GAME WE SAW WAS PROBABLY THE TWINS BEST GAME OF THE SEASON, WE WON 11 TO ZIP, AND SCOTT BAKER PITCHED A COMPLETE GAME, ONLY ALLOWING 2 HITS.  BUT...IT WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED ON ESPN.  YOU'VE GOT TO BE EITHER NEW YORK OR BOSTON TO MAKE THAT DARN SHOW!!  MY BOYS LOST THE NEXT TWO, BUT MY SONS GOT A SKY BOX FOR THAT SUNDAY, SO IT WAS STILL MARVELOUS.  I FELT LIKE THE QUEEN MUM FOR SURE.  MY KIDS ARE ALL SO DARN GOOD TO ME, I AM JUST SO BLESSED.  WE ALSO SAW A PLAY AT THE GUTHRIE THEATRE THAT WAS A DELIGHT, WE ARE STILL "QUOTING" FROM IT!

WEATHER HERE IS MODERATING SOME, NOT QUITE PATIO-AND-COFFEE MORNINGS YET, BUT AT LEAST ITS HEADING THAT WAY.  THE HUMIDITY IN MINNEAPOLIS REALLY BOTHERED ME, BELIEVE ME, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUMID AND DRY HEAT.  BOTH CAN KILL YOU THOUGH!!!

I AM JUST SO GLAD TO HAVE FOUND YOU ALL AGAIN!!

Morning everyone, back home again and it's hot but not humid.  It was so hot and humid in Charlotte, especially during the concert, even our clothes were wet when we got back to the hotel.  Not as bad up in Raleigh and much cooler due to rain.  Hubby said we had a little rain here while I was gone.

Jean, good to see you finally made it here, we missed you.  Your baseball weekend sounds like tons of fun.  It's so nice you have a great relationship with your children.

Sharon, good to see you again.  Your train trip sounds like a lot of fun.

Caz, enjoy your break from school.

Jeri, Sara started her nursing classes this morning.  My classes also started today, it's going to be a hard semester this time.

BHR, thinking of you today and waiting to hear from hubby on your surgery.  Prayers continue.  Congrats to your hubby on his new job.  Take it really easy on the move, don't hurt yourself after surgery, it's not worth it.  Get yourself some help for the move if possible.

Sue, sounds like a wonderful weekend with your little man.

Jean, With all the fires her in CA over the years, you'd think we didn't have any forests left...LOL  When you were here last year you saw the mountain behind us and that's due to burn again, just hoping and praying it doesn't.  So have you talked your wife into another trip to the US???

Elaine, is Georgie resting up today after having his "friend" for the weekend?  Do you think you will have more summer weather or is fall starting early for you?

Jean /AZ Hi Lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad you made it, not sure "Dizzy" has made it yet.
Jean/B and I were just asking about you , we had missed you. So glad you got on. It is taking me a lot of getting used to also.

So glad to know you are ok. Take care and God Bless, Jeri-FL-( my smilie's still do not work, so not to worry about those. They are still getting the kinks out, I suppose. This one seemed weird at first but I'm adjusting. It is really nice. I think Cindy is very busy now and can't answer all who write her. "Glad you found us too" Jean/AZ!!! Nice about going to the game and a play also!
we are taking our teen GD to NY for her  birthday, only later..visit museums and take in the city.

Hello Friends. Haven't posted in awhile; been under the weather since Thurs. It felt just like the flu but there was no fever- just muscle aches, nausea & headaches. Very strange. Still having some muscle aches- I may end up needing some blood work at the doctor.
Not up to addressing everyone but glad all of you were not affected by the hurricane. Now they say it's extra tropical & may affect the U.K. with some rain & wind. Sorry, Caz.
Will be back later. Love Alan's video- it is adorable esp when the little boy plays the guitar & taps his foot.

Hi everyone!  We had an absolutely cool weekend - so unusual for August.  Actually had to close the windows for awhile, it was so cool & windy.  Strange!

JeanAZ - so glad to see you made it on here.  Lots of new things to learn.  Glad you had a great time in Minneapolis for your baseball weekend - your sons really treated you right!  Well, my Cubbies have folded early this year so we don't even have to worry about the post-season this year.  Gearing up for football now - Bears looked pretty good this weekend.

Harriet, sorry to here you are under the weather - hope you're feeling better soon.

JeanB - I'll join in on that champagne.  Love that stuff - don't drink it very often.

Saw the new video on CMT this morning - it's so cute!  The little AJ & Denise are adorable.  The big AJ isn't bad either!

I notice some of you are now Jr. members & not newbies anymore.  Looks like 50 posts is the magic number.
