Some good stuff about Alan in the new Country Weekly!

Thanks, Jinx! Which issue is it? Who's on the cover? I just saw at the store the August 17 issue with Blake Shelton and, I believe, Miranda Lambert on the cover, took a quick glance through it but didn't see anything about Alan there so I didn't buy it. I hope I just didn't miss them as there was only one last copy left there. At another store I saw the one with Kenny Chesney on the cover but I think that was an older issue. Please tell us the issue date and who is on the cover. Thanks. Appreciate it.

Hello, Friends. Still hot here & just staying in. Plenty of sports on TV today.

Elaine- Glad to see Tiger still in the lead.

Kathy- The Phillies beat us last night but we beat them today in the bottom of the 9th 4-3. So back to square one, 5 games out. Tomorrow's game is at 8 PM on ESPN. Congrats to the Cubs for winning 2 in a row.

Sharon- Glad your bowling alley is open for business again.

Sue- still hope we will get a private board.

Terry- hoping we'll get the smiley faces too.

Got my newsletter today which says the concert schedule is about finished. Guess that means we won't have an Atlanta concert this year. All of you that are going have a great time. Thanks, Cindy, for he newsletter.

Hi AJ fans,
Jean, come and redo my kitchen, I could use a new floor and cabinets.
Watched the golf tournament.  Was cheering Tiger on but it wasn't his day.  The tournament was held in my home state, Minnesota.  It's a beautiful course and only about 30 miles from my home.  Volunteers had to pay 350 dollars to work at it.  That struck me as odd.  The red shirt Tiger wore today was sold the first day for 90.00 and the 500 shirts sold out in an hour.
Harriet, thanks for the heads up on the newsletter.  Alan hasn't been in Minnesota for a couple of years. So ready for him to return.  Florida gets a little pricey for a concert but it's always a good time.
Two weeks off before I start workshop.
Take care all.

REQUEST ALAN'S "I STILL LIKE BOLOGNA"

Hello Everyone!!

Pray away the hurricanes please.. Jinx are you concerned about flooding yet, I am ready any moment to go to the MS house lol
I am so afraid of storms here. it didn't used to be this way when we first moved here about 25 years ago ha!
Hope Everyone is fine and has nice weather. Oh Jean/B lovely you got your kitchen done and we are so busy w/mom and the hurricanes bringing too much rain, we haven't even started ours.I want new everything to match..appliances etc.. floors too.
Sue, I was so sorry Tiger lost at Golf.. I just knew he was on a winning streak..I know it's pretty where you live, sounds like it..
You should move to Florida, you might love it and Dizzy says they never have left before, but the weather has changed so much recently. Sue nice ytou got to enjoy a rest, that break doesn't take long for teachers to come back. Take some time for you, I go for a facial to relax..it helps. you seem stressed. Sue will you be at Hollywood also? we go to both and that one was pricey & not that close seats but always good. it may be closer than it looks. Just testing the link above..
I wrote my favorite radio stations and requested Alan's "I Like Bologna", They will do it for me..hopefully. Jinx said they played it here on two stations. Take care Everyone, Jeri

Hi all AJ fans
I've started requesting "I Still Like Bologna"Jeri, I wish I could go to the Hollywood concert but I will be teaching. I don't have  a lot of days I can take off in a school year for personal things.
Jeri, I am praying the hurricanes stay away!  I always worry about my daughter.
If anyone has any directions on getting my blinkie to work in signature, I would be grateful.
Attempted to go boating today but it was just too cloudy, we came home.  We laughed and said we took our boat out for a ride!
Jinx, I found the CW with Reba on the cover.  Nice picture of Alan arriving in his boat at the boat show.  I've watched You Tube videos and Alan was truly enjoying the moment.
Take care all![/color]

We had a nice weekend, all my children, and two of my grandchildren were here.  They haven't all been together in the same place for about 8 years.  It was a nice birthday for two of them and one grandson.

The weather here has been very strange for August, way cooler than normal.  Hope hurricane "Bill" stays off the coast.  I'm leaving on Thursday for NC.

The fires in CA are growing for the most part, and it's not even fire season here yet.  There's now over a dozen going but thankfully none near us but we are getting the smokey skies.  The mountain directly behind us hasn't burned in a few years so that's concerning.  I hate it when we have to be evacuated and it takes so long to get the smoke smell out of the house.  I'm so grateful hubby keeps our property well cleared of weeds.

Sue, sorry it was too cloudy to take your boat out.  Our school district started today but most of the other local districts started within the past couple weeks.

Jean, congrats on getting the kitchen all done.  You want to come here and redo my bathroom?Huh?  Misty was here this weekend and she said to tell you and your lovely wife and daughter hello.

Sharon, good to hear your bowling alley is now up and running.  Taylor has discovered he loves to bowl, even has his own ball now.  I'll be taking my clients to bowl tomorrow.  Over the summer the bowling alley has "disco" afternoons for the kids with disco balls and music.  They sure enjoy it.  See ya on Friday!!!!

Harriet, I got the news letter also and although I had figured most of the tour dates had been posted was still hoping for an Atlanta one for you.

Sue, Your Blinkie is so cute, love it! how did you do it lol  if your daughter has to leave, they will help evacuate. I wish my sis was home now but she is in the Country house w/mom. she could go to my sister's, if they were home. I think it is going out and up by us.. hopefully in the ocean. it's nice here now. try not to worry Sue. Hope "Bill" hurricane ha stays away from NC too for Terry..
Love your blinkie, I have one and can't do it..a lady made it for me but yours is so cute and you by the trucks, so nice!

Hello to All. It is warm here & getting very dry. We haven't had rain for awhile. The remnants of Tropicl Storm Claudette went all around us but never at our house.

Jeri- It's looking pretty safe for you. That Tropical Storm Ana has fizzled & they think Hurricane Bill will turn & go out to sea- I pray it will for your sake & that of others I know in FLA.

Sue- That's wonderful your daughter got her Masters. I have heard how beautiful Minnesota is.

Terry- glad you had a nice weekend with your family. I don't think Alan has enough time & space for an Atlanta concert. He doesn't come here every year. After I saw him in 2004 I had to wait til 2007 to see him again. I'm really happy for the fans in Canada. I can see the fires are North of you.

Sue- I love your signature. I still haven't figured out how to get color in mine.

Elaine- You & Georgie should be looking good with the newcuts. I need one too.

JeanB-Congrats on your new kitchen.

Hi all
Harriet, to get color in your signature, you have to put in the correct barcode.
Start your message with: color=name of color desired
and put these brackets around those words. []
type in your signature message
end with:   /color
but put brackes around that  []
If confused, try posting something on the board using change color and the bar code will appear.
It was fun playing around with the effects on photobucket, stumbled on it my chance.
I've been making several blinkies, not sure which one I like best.  Ha!
Sharon, are you a two hundred a game bowler.....
Terry, what a special day with your family.  It's hard to get together and that's sometimes frustrating.  Bet you will cherish that!
Jeri, I'm keeping my eye on Hurricane Bill, always thinking of my Florida friends and daughter's safety.
We went boating on the beautiful Mississippi today.  Gorgeous summer day.
Tonight, I was watching a bunch of baby raccoons climbing in our oak tree on the river bank.  When I went down for a closer, out of another tall tree flew a bald eagle.
So cool.
Received my newsletter yesterday.
take care all

Morning All!
Sue, had to laugh when you asked if I was a 200 a game bowler!  I wish!  I'm lucky to bowl 130!  But I love it.
Got my newsletter this week.  Also picked up the latest copy of CW!  Love the pics of the concerts in Norway.  So glad Alan is popular there.
As usual I'm still in my robe, checking FB and goofing off.  I'll get busy in a bit.
Looking forward to the Charlotte concert.  Our senior group at church is going on a Mystery dinner train ride Saturday night, so while Terry and you Raleigh fans are at the concert, I hope to be riding a train in the mountains of NC!  I've never gone and have always wanted to.
Heard that hurricane Bill is not suppose to hit the coast, that's good since he's up to a category 4!
Terry, your weekend sounded like fun, sorry about the fires in CA.  Seems like y'all have them all the time.  Is it because of so many forests, the winds off the Pacific?  Yikes, seems like they could do something about that.
Hi to Elaine, Harriet, Jeri, and the rest.......
