I've been trying to figure out my new classes this semester.  It's always interesting to see how each professor wants things done and sometimes a challenge to figure it all out the first few days.  One has decided to use a different forum which has been difficult to figure out.

Sue, I agree, it's hard to "talk" to everyone with the site being totally public.  

Dizzy, it's so good to see you here, we all missed you.  Love your blinkie and avatar.

Elaine, that's the first snake, well rattler, we've had this year.  We leave the "good" snakes be as they keep the critters down and some keep the rattlers away.  We are on the look out for the mate to this rattler as Mohave Greens run in pairs, mating for life.  

Jeri, the swine flu can have a fever, but it has been reported that some cases don't.

Harriet, sure hope your med change helps you continue to improve.  

Not much else new around here, it's getting hotter each day, suppose to be 105 tomorrow.  Tomorrow is one of my client's and our youngest son's birthday.  We went to Red Lobster last night for my oldest daughter's birthday, which is on Sunday but she won't be here, her friends are taking her to Vegas.

Did y'all see where they have the monthly calendar downloads back for us??  YEEHAW

  Forgot to tell ya - I have a new great niece - Spohie was born Sunday 8/24/09 @ 9.59 pm - 7 lbs 14 oz - 20.5 inches
    SHE"S BEAUTIFUL - going to see her on Saturday.  That makes 6 under the age of 3 - Christmas shopping will be fun !

IIIIIIMMMMM BACK!!  COULDN'T GET ON AGAIN THE OTHER DAY, AFTER DOING SO SUCCESSFULLY WITH THE PASS THE CLUB SENT ME...WORKED ONCE, THEN NOT AGAIN (INVALID..ETC), SO FRUSTRATION AND DARN NEAR TEARS SET IN AGAIN!  THIS TIME IT WORKED, AND I, HOPEFULLY, PUT IN MY NEW PASSWORD, BUT I'M ALMOST AFRAID TO TRY IT NEXT TIME.  NOW, THIS IS ALL MY OWN FAULT FOR MY LACK OF COMPUTER SAVVY, I PLEAD GUILTY TO DUMB.  AND DUMBER.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR "WELCOME BACK" MESSAGES, NO WONDER I ENJOY YOU ALL SO MUCH.

ITS GOING TO BE ABOUT 110 AGAIN TODAY, THEY ARE ISSUING HEAT WARNINGS...LIKE WE DIDN'T KNOW, MEANS DON'T BE CAUGHT OUT WITHOUT YOUR HANDY-DANDY WATER JUG...YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT THE NUMBER OF JOGGERS, BICYCLERS AND ASSORTED CRAZIES YOU SEE OUT IN THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY...AS I DRIVE BY IN MY LOVELY AIR CONDITIONED CAR.  USUALLY THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, US OLDIES KNOW BETTER, WE WAIT TILL DUSK OR GET UP BEFORE THE SUN AND STAGGER DOWN THE STREET FOR A BLOCK OR TWO IN OUR WALKING SHOES AND BLACK SOCKS (NOT ME OF COURSE, I HAVE BETTER SENSE)....   DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID RIGHT THERE, WAS TRYING TO PUT UP THE ROLL EYES THING, BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

MY TWINS CONTINUE THERE UPS AND DOWNS, BUT MY BOYS WON 5 IN A ROW, THEN LOST LAST NIGHT TO A REALLY GOOD BALTIMORE PITCHER.  SO IT GOES!
THIS THING IS ACTING CRAZY AGAIN, I TYPE AND IT BOUNCES UP AND DOWN...I'M OUT OF HERE FOR NOW!

Thanks Terry for telling us about the calendar.  I put it on my desktop.  Hope it doesn't bring me bad luck.  I never turn a calendar until the date.  Soooooo, we'll see if it's just a silly superstition!

Sue, I need to make more than an Alan Concert list.  You notice Terry was very tactful and didn't mention anything about my lack of a camera!  LOL!

My assistant treasurer was over this morning and we were checking on the church's accounts.  So glad I have an assistant.
 
Jean/AZ, I'm another one who is not computer savy.  Something is messing with my aol email.  I can see the list of mail, but can't open it!  Aggravating.
 
LouAnn, congrats on the new niece.  Fun is right for you for you for Christmas shopping!  I bet you are a super aunt!

Listening to "Good Time" on our local station.  Seems like it's been more than a week since I heard Mr. Jackson sing it in person.  When's my next concert trip?  LOL!

I go to the first meeting of our fall bowling league tonight.  Looking forward to that.  The lanes are trying to get a daytime league.  I'm gonna try and talk some of my friends to join that.  I would prefer to bowl during the day.  Don't really like the drive after dark.

Well, Terry what did you have at the Red Lobster?  Happy Birthday to your son and daughter.  My son's birthday is the 4th. 

Elaine, 40 deg. is a little cool for me.  It's been in the 60's at night and 80's & 90's during the day here.

Another cool, rainy day. 
Tomorrow is my last Friday off for the summer.  It's been great and it will be hard to go back to 5-day weeks.  LOL!  Labor Day is coming soon so that will help!
Louann - congrats on your great-niece.  How exciting!
Terry - good luck with your new semester, sounds like a lot of work!
I'm computer savy to a point - I can get my job done at work and can get around the Internet ok, but trying to figure out why my avatar won't work is beyond me.  My oldest son will be here this weekend, he helped me last time so hopefully we can figure it out this time.
Tiger's playing again this weekend - love to watch him play golf.  It will be a long September with my Cubbies out of the race - I'll still watch them, but I can tell their heart isn't into it.  Sweet Lou is taking all the blame for their dismal year after everyone predicted they would do better.

Morning everyone,
Our August heat has finally arrived, it was 108 yesterday and it's suppose to get hotter each day until Sunday. 

Jeri, hope your hubby gets his procedure soon.

Kathy, sorry your Friday's off are coming to an end.  It will be hard to get back to working 5 days a week.

Sharon, I can't remember you ever bringing a camera to a concert...LOL  I remember you bringing a camera on our trips occasionally, but never actually using it....LOL  Hope you get enough people together for a daytime bowling league.

Louann, congrats on the new g-niece.  BUT you didn't have to mention Christmas yet...LOL 

Looks like hubby will be back to work on Monday, maybe for good.  He knows he has at least 3 weeks work and his boss is waiting on some jobs he bid for so maybe more work after that. 

I went grocery shopping yesterday and when I got home the radiator on my suburban decided to break, thankfully I was home.  I have AAA but still happy it happened after I got home.  Hubby is replacing it this morning.

Hello Friends. I am finally well & now Hubby is sick & he has a fever & the whole works. I guess he caught what I had. Don't know why I didn't have a fever.

Terry- Glad your hubby is back to work. Those temperatures sound really hot.

Jeri- Sorry about your hubby's heart problems. Hope the angiogram goes well.

Lou- Congrats on the grand niece.

Sharon- We left our camera in the truck at Alan's ATL concert last year. Duh! I know the feeling.

Sue- When I go to Photobucket I forget the upload procedure. Glad I already had some Alan pics there.

Hi all,
Summer is gone.  It's been like fall the past two days.  Last night I took a walk wearing my winter coat.  So cool.
Jeri and Hari, how are your hubby's?  Hope they are both feeling better.
AJ Texas, when you go to photobucket, click on upload and you can choose to take pictures off your desk top or wherever you are storing them.  They have simplified the procedure---it's easy and fast.
Terry, what courses are you taking?  Work, concert travel, and school---it's hard to keep up with you!  Glad to hear your hubby will be returning to work.
Kathy, it's hard getting back to a 5 day routine.
Jean-AZ, the Twins have been struggling.  But our new outdoor stadium is looking grand so maybe that will bring them better luck next season. Glad to have you on the board, love your upbeat attitude!
Relaxing and trying to enjoy my last day before it's back to school tomorrow.  I have meetings and prep work this week.  It will be long days and an open house on Tuesday or Wednesday.  (too lazy to walk to the calendar and check now)
Hubby is in Florida moving our daughter today----but don't feel too sorry for him because on Tuesday he heads to the beach for a couple of days.
Had my little man yesterday evening.  We played and talked all night long!  It's so fun to have a little one around.  He got a little nervous when it got dark and mom and dad weren't around.  I brought out my computer and we looked at family pictures and that made him happy.
Had my little man last night.  We played and talked.  So fun!
