Gwen, Hi! Congrats! I know what you mean as mine was in 2009 also. It came at a great time for me, in my Home State! It was a Great time for me and I got to talk to Alan a good while, met Roger too!! I will never forget Alan's sweet voice and his Gentle ways. He was everything I thought and more.. Savvy and so comforting too.( It was also the worst time of my life after this and it helped me through my Mom's death a few days later. that is why we were Home. )I took my Sister and brother in law with us. She was amazed that we got such close seats. I walking on that stage and I was in heaven. I saw Roger first and said Hello! I will never forget his smile and how young he looked with shorter hair, he was super nice. I looked around and saw Alan standing( oh my I thought I had kept him waiting, speaking to Roger lol) He was super , super nice. I will never forget this time, ever. He is a true Gentleman with that great Southern accent a bit..So down to Earth. Alan sang "Like Red On A Rose", How did he know that is one of my favorites. All he sang were ! I just adore him and his Voice is awesome. He has this way about him, that made me feel so at Peace. Perhaps it was because my Mom was about to leave us , but Alan will never know how much he comforted me, dealing w/my Mother being so ill. He will always be in my Heart Forever. I got to pat his back and slipped my arm around his waist, to have our photo made..He seemed like a long lost Friend. At my age, I didn't feel anything was wrong w/a hug around his waist. He is younger than I am. I still remember EVERYTHING that happened at my Meet and Greet and Always will. Thanks to Alan Jackson. I simply Love him and his Music! He has a GREAT Voice! He is a Great Songwriter also. Gwen keep that Memory Forever.. Hugs to You, Jerrie
