I'm sitting at the airport waiting for my plane to Tulsa and noticed no one had put a review of last night's show yet.

Another fantastic performance by Alan and the Strayhorns.  That casino is HUGE!!!  The venue part is more like a ballroom converted to concerts, with carpeting and normal convention type chairs, all on on level except for a small bleacher type temp addition in the very back.

Alan wore a white shirt last night and seemed to be enjoying himself.  He started with singing Gone Country, switching up the play list a bit throughout the concert.  He threw out a lot of picks but didn't sign at the end.  Security wasn't letting anyone past the first row stand up, and they were telling people to put cameras away, unless they were cell phone or little cameras ( I did manage to get a few pictures anyway).  They really weren't concerned about people standing at the stage, so guess where I went again...  Fan club seating wasn't available for this concert but I still got 6th row, but since they didn't seem to care about who went up front, I headed there.

The couple next to me were very friendly, the man had just moved to Dallas from Hollywood, CA....too funny to sit next to another Californian in Texas.  The whole crowd was really reserved and even though security would come tell someone to sit down, not too many people tried to stand.  Very frustrating, I have to stand when Alan sings!!!  Glad they didn't stop me from going to the stage so I could stand.

It was fun seeing Bill and Debbie again, (safe travels over to Tulsa), see you tonight.

How strange that security wouldn't let you stand.  I would hate that!  I guess people who don't want to
stand can't get blocked...but still!!!!!  I'm glad Alan was having a good time.I think this was a good
week for him....good concerts, the Cracker Barrel signing, the CB collection....so lots of happy fans.

Thanks, Terry. I've never been to a concert where you couldn't stand.

Terry, a little late responding to your review. As usual it was great.  I hate it when I can't stand at a concert. I don't think that's security job to tell us to sit down.  Maybe A. J. needs to know why people aren't standing. Never heard of a venue who wouldn't let a person take a pic...
You remember we couldn't stand in Primm, also, the same when I went to Santa Ynez.  I finally did stand at the end, it's very difficult to sit while A. J. is singing!!!
I met a nice young couple in Nashville yesterday from Tulsa
