Hello all,

Well it is all over for another while.  We arrived in time to see the opening act Ryan Laird.  Wasn't too bad at all.  He is from Fergus, ON..Canada.  He did a duet with a lady but did not catch her name.  Once they were done, at intermission I met up with Sharon from Mississauga.  What a treat.  She got her photo signed and caught the first pick of the night.  We were chatting for a bit and then it was almost time.  Oh I forgot how does 3RD ROW....CENTRE STAGE SOUND???  I   K  N   O   W!!!!!!!   So lights go out and the ole heart is a pounding and we are just waiting for Gone Country to start adn GUESS WHAT?Huh?  No Gone Country......He opened with GOOD TIME.   Well the Horns were playing the begininng jingle of GT for what seemed like forever and I kept saying WORK WORK.......I don't know how many times and he wasn't coming out and finally HE ARRIVES looking mighty fine too.  He had dark jeans with a few littel holes (they were new) and a black adn white checkered shirt on.  He played a good variety and also Sissy's Song.  He said "the meet and greet folks were asking him to do it".  It was beautiful.  Of course SYDHTLMA and LWTG were real treats to see for the first time live.  He must have been quite thirsty as he was drinking from a large milk jug???   My sister also bought a picture at the booth and got that signed also.  He signed throughout the show about three different times until his sharpie ran out!

I have posted 52 pictures on my facebook page so if you want to see them my name is Gwen Petrie for those of you on FB.  I do not know any other way to put them on here.  If any of you want to send me your email address, PM me and I can email the pictures to you.  There are some real good close ups and for those who like him scruffy are going to LOVE them.

I am sad now that it is over.  IT seems the build up is the best part and then its gone.  Can't complain as it is my 9th concert in 12 years.

Thats it............take care everyone............Gwen

I was there too, brought my 12yr old daughter, who was excited because as she says"she grew up with him".  It's great that he keeps his concerts simple. Just him and his music. I teach countryline dancing, and it was great to hear so many of the tunes I teach dances to. Definately a great concert and a awesome venue!!!!!

GwenI was also at the concert,I also really enjoyed it our seats where second row, YES second row seat 26 and 25, almost dead centre but we didn't sit in them we stood at the stage all night.  I was the first one to get his autograph I gave him the fan club almanic we get when we sign up each year for the fan club.  Later on in the night I also got the 8 x 10 picture they send you signed and also I caught a guitar pick.  I am also on facebook you can see my pictures, I will see if I can find you and add you as a friend, I am Allison Clark Goodman.

Great show and can't wait till he comes back to Ontario again!!!
