Hello everybody,
already December ... times flies!!!
It's raining today. This morning i went to the doctor for my cough. He gave me a prescription for anti-biotics. In USA you can buy them in Walmart, but not here.

Harriet, Kevin Van De Perren stops skating at the European Championship. As i said, he will coach the yought.

Nice December Christmas calender.

Have a good day everybody ...

Hello Jean
I hope you'll feel better soon and the cough leave.
Here in Switzerland the weather is boringly. Since weeks no rain, a little bit sun, many foggy days.
It's to warm for snow.
With snow it would be to be looked forward more beautifully to Christmas.
Have a nice day and good health.

we have dull weather today...rain tomorrow then we have some sunshine!!
temps this week are winter-like.  ugh    ha ha

My therapy is sure helping me improve with this 'frozen' shoulder situation.
Having a shoulder/arm experiencing difficulty is slowing me down!

Jean, thanks for starting the December Thread. No, you cannot buy antibiotics unless you have a doctor's prescription- then you can go to Walmart & get it filled.
Best wishes to Kevin in his coaching career- he sure is a strong jumper. They don't broadcast Europeans here but will see what happens this year.

Marilyn, sorry you have a frozen shoullder- I sure can relate to shoulder problems & hope the therapy will continue to help. I'm a strong believer in Physical Therapy.

Elaine & Susie- hope your weather gets more interesting

I HAVE GOOD NEWS, IN A WAY, ABOUT MY NIECE WHO MARRIED HER SOLDIER IN AUGUST. THEY HAD 2 DAYS TOGETHER & HE WAS OFF TO SOME KIND OF SPECIAL TRAINING & SHE COULDN'T GO WITH HIM.THEY HAD SAID HE WOULD BE DEPLOYED TO  A COMBAT ZONE RIGHT AFTER THE TRAINING BUT NOW THEY HAVE POSTPONED HIS DEPLOYMENT UNTIL SEPTEMBER. HE IS STAIONED AT FORT CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY & SHE WILL MOVE UP THERE IN JANUARY & THEY WILL LIVE CLOSE TO NASHVILLE.THE BEST THING IS THEY WILL NOW HAVE TIME TO LIVE TOGETHER AS MAN & WIFE.

Sorry about the all caps but I do not want to type all that again.lol My caps lock was on accidently.

Hope you all have a great Christmas Season..

Harriet,
Great news about your neice and husband! My nephew is not being deployed either, he can't always tell where he is.
They need to spend some time together, so perhaps he wont have to go period. Some came back here at NAS Jax..
Jean/B , I hope your cough gets better soon.Drs here will not hardly give me antibiotics , unless it's serious. For colds is a no. They say some Drs give too many antibiotics but my primary doctor  doesn't give me any. I'm usually allergic to everything anyway.. For coughing, mom used to give us honey with a bit of lemon and it worked. Ha! old remedies worked really well. Get better soon!
It's cooler her and I love it, but it warms up in the Daytime..
I called about getting reservations at the Gaylord Opry and all the good bargins are sold out..we plan to spend the holidays there and see our grands and the pretty lights. Love that place! we may only stay two nights at those prices lol. we may get a discount.I told hubby I will stay at a cheap place, as long as it's clean, to see my babies LOL j/k
I decorated some today and I'm tired already wow! it is not like I'm 25 now LOL I want to go to Loveless Cafe one day, while there. Maybe get reservations for the Palm one day. Love it there, since my family lives close and I can get out of cooking a huge meal LOL. My Sister & hubby came by the other day, and they ate here and they left for melbourne. They had been away for a week at Williamsburg, VA visiting relatives. My house looked rather small after visiting theirs I'm sure. It's huge and new. we raised our children in this house, and it is getting updated slowly now.
Family & Church is what it's all about for the Holidays! we can cook another time. we may surprise my cousin and go to his Church at Murfreesboro and see them, if we have time. Take care everyone and I hope Alan enjoys festivals. I really don't myself, Indoors is so much better for my asthma. I will try the one in Melbourne ha! Can't wait for that.!miss Alan.
Take care to all of you Fans and enjoy! Jerrie-MS

Harriet great news about your niece and also your nephew Jeri.  Hope you feel better soon Jean.  Weather here is rainy and we don't know if we will have any snow for Christmas.  That's okay.......it is not my favorite time of year.  A lot of deaths in December of family/friends.......I think of when Alan sings "If we make it thru December".  Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm.

Great news Harriet on your niece and husband.  Jeri the same for you on your nephew.  Our son, who is in the Air Force in Canada,  is training for 7 weeks and he is away from home too.  He finds it hard being away from his little boy, who will be one year old on Dec. 16th.  But he will soon be home too.  He only has 7 more days.

JeanB, I hope you will be feeling better soon.
Marilyn, I can relate to your shoulder issue.  Not for myself, but my husband has alot of issues with his too.

Jeri, I know what you mean about putting up the Christmas decorations when you get older.  I love doing it every year but after going up and down the stairs to get everything, it is tiring.  But when it is all done, I love it.  It looks so festive.  Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, but it can be a sad time too, when you think of everyone that you have lost and people who have no one.

I have a little bit of Christmas shopping left to do.  I still have to do my baking.  Today my husband and I help him, are going to be putting my winter tires on.  Then in the middle of the afternoon, we are going to his annual family Christmas reunion party until about 5o'clock.  Then we have to leave that and go to a Christmas Dinner & Dance with people I work with.  It is a full day today.  Maybe tomorrow I can relax.  My husband has to work tomorrow, so I will be on my own and  listen to some Christmas music.

Hello Jean
Good news, that your cough is a lot of better.
I'm living in a small town called Moerschwil. Between the lake "Bodensee" and the town St. Gallen.
I'ts very nice here to life.
But my heart strikes for the United States. Our house is very american funished, so I feel well.
And in the living room I've got a large corner with pictures of Alan. Also our cars are all american.
And daily Alan sings from my jukebox his great songs.
Tomorrow it will snow here. The winter is coming.

Hi Y'all!
I know I haven't been here in a while.  Wishing y'all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  I've got my tree up, cards sent and no shopping done!
Harriet, good news about your niece.
Thanks for starting the December thread, Jean.  I'm glad you're better.
I went on a Caribbean cruise the first of November.  It was fun and I think I could live that way!
We had a nice Thanksgiving went up to my oldest daughter's for Thanksgiving, but did not go shopping on Black Friday. First time in several years.  Both of us regretted that we didn't go.  I need to do some shopping, but just can't get moving and out of the house early enough.
Welcome Susie.  Are you American or just like America?  Hope you don't mind my asking.  I live in SC in the country and would love to move further south where it is warmer.  We don't have severe weather here, but I feel like I've been here long enough!  39 years......Moved up from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.  Don't think I could take that So. Fl pace again, but do miss the climate.
Elaine, it was 30 deg. this a.m.  We had been having nice weather and it is supposed to get up in the 50's later.  My younger daughter in TN got snow yesterday.  We did have black ice this morning.  It rained all day yesterday.
Saw where AJ was in Houston.  Anyone know why?  Can't get my fb to work well this a.m.
Well I guess that's enough for today.  I think of y'all just haven't written.

Sharon, Alan was in Houston for the radio station KILT's annual Ten Man Jam.  No tickets were sold, the only way to get them was to win them!  Alan opened for the evening.  Here is a link with some pictures of Alan and the others that were there.  http://kilt.radio.com/?s=KILT+Ten+Man+Jam
