Geeeez, I hate doing this, but, since we don't currently have the PL monthly thread, I'll go ahead and post this here, if you would pardon me. Most of you know from my post on the previous board that I have a cyst on my left ovary and may undergo hysterectomy. I was referred to a gynecologist last month and saw him yesterday morning. The good news is the result of the most recent pelvis ultra sound test I had remained the same. . .no changes in appearance and size. However, doc said that it's concerning that my cyst is not going away or at least decreasing in size. So he gave me options to either continue monitoring it with follow-up ultra sound tests, which is not 100% accurate in detecting cancer, or going ahead and have a surgical procedure done. . .not hysterectomy. . .to remove the cyst and get it more accurately tested for cancer. . . .if it proves to be cancerous, my ovary will be removed. I agreed to have one and is now being scheduled for it. I will keep you all updated on this. Thank you for your prayers. It's greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your prayers. I'm tad scared here but I know that sooner or later I will be going to have this procedure and have mentally prepared myself for this for a long time now. An update: My pre-op and pre-admission appointment has been set for Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon respectively so I will know then when I will be going to have the surgery. I'll keep on updating you all regarding my situation. Thanks again for all your prayers. It helps.
