We have just learned that my husband's father had suffered a massive stroke earlier today and is in the hospital having paralysis on the right side of his body, speech impairment and loss of vision in one eye. I appreciate all your prayers for my father-in-law and family. Thank you all.

Thank you all for your prayers. My hubby and I just got back home from his parents' house, along with our youngest son, last night as my hubby has to be back at work today and for some much needed rest. Our oldest son stayed behind to help care for my FIL. We'll be back there on Friday and spend the rest of the weekend with them. Long term care for my FIL, as well as my MIL, is currently being planned.

My FIL is doing fine now and was moved in the rehab clinic for therapies couple of days after his initial hospitalization and was there for 3 and a half days. He was initially thought to have had a massive stroke but the paralysis on the right side of his body had been temporary. However, his right arm and leg were affected much more, but he has regain most of the function on his leg. . .he's still getting a little off balance when he's walking. His right arm is doing fine to certain extent but he still hasn't regain senses in his right wrist and hand and will continue to get therapy for it. He also just had a brief loss of sight in one eye, but his vision is completely fine now too. It was the same way with his speech, which was suspected to have been probably caused by sheer panic and fear when he suddenly couldn't move out of bed. More importantly, he did not lose any of his sense of humor. So, over all, he's doing very well.

Thank you all again for your prayers. We all appreciated it very much.

BHR, so glad to hear your FIL has regained some the functions he lost. Hopefully therapy will help with the rest of them that he is having problems with. Prayers still going up for all of you.
