HARRIET, thanks for starting this prayer thread. All my thoughts and prayers goes to everyone who are in or near the path of this dreadful hurricane. Please all stay safe.

NELLE, if you can or are reading this, please be in a safe place and stay safe. You were one of the people that I first thought of when I heard that hurricane Irene is going to pass through NYC. Prayers, thoughts and cares for you.

I have a niece and a nephew living in NYC and are concerned for them. I just now heard from my sister, though, that my nephew, her son, will be leaving NYC for Miami, FLA with his friends before the hurricane hits. . .an advance birthday present to him from one of his friends. I have not heard anything about or from my niece, my other sister's daughter, however. She and her husband has just welcomed their first baby, a son, last December. Please keep her and her family in your prayers too. Thank you all.

My prayers are going out to all who live along the East Coast. I hope Hurricane Irene isn't going to be as bad as they say.

Prayers going to everyone in the hurricane and the flooding it has caused.     Flooding takes a long time to go down  and a lot of cleanup to deal with.           Take care everyone.
