Harriet, Thanks for the suggestion.

The kin folks of my husband's from Sweden want to eat there. I made reservations. whoa! what a Bill ha! They have been to Loveless Cafe and all the places , also the place you mentioned , when they were here before. we really are
going to give them a treat. My Hubby's brother is driving in to see them from MI

This restaurant cooks your food at the table, You can order chicken,Beef, seafood-lobster, rice, veggies, Just tell them what you want & they cook it. It's oriental and I'm used being served, I hope it will be comfy for them to eat. They make a show of of it. They even do Sushi, which I do not eat unless I make it ha, I make mine with Rice and crabmeat ha!
we may have to order a dessert at another place, not sure.
August is starting out HOT..98 degrees, but Feels Like 105 today here.. I'm staying inside..we need rain and I'm sure it will be here soon. It looks like we dodged Emily..Thank God! It was a tropical storm and the cone was too close to us at first..Take care everyone and stay cool, Hydrate often to all &  Dizzy, even inside and traveling especially.Seems all the southern States are under the heat wave. It will take a rain to cool us off. I called MS & it's really hot there also..and Nashville is also.. I hope it rains, but hold the storms for us all. Be careful Everyone..Jeri
Pray for our Country to change... Yo! The stock market! we are losing so much, but so are most people.God Bless Us All.

Jeri- there used to be a Japanese Hibachi restaurant not far from us. I loved to eat there but only for special ocassions since it was, as you say, expensive. It is now closed-probably a casualty of th reccession since you can eat just about anywhere else for less. I sure wish it was still open- I did love that place.

Alan's song is beginning to move on the charts. Can't get my Atlanta station to play it- I even told them they were Alan's Hometown Country Radio Station & they should play it. Please- radio stations- give Alan some respect. It's a great song & video.

It is in the 80's today but still very humid. I have not left the house in 3 days.

Hope all of you have protection against the heat.

Hi to all AJ fans!
Wow summer is going quickly.  We've had some wonderful summer days-- some complain about the heat but I always remember the cold days....been enjoying outings on our boat and the pool
Will head up to the North Shore where it is almost always much cooler.  Then to Florida in 10 days.
Kathy, Bill's had our air on more than I like but the humidity bothers him.
Jean,  it's been a long time since I've been in France....need another trip.
Elaine, always good to read your posts.
Harriet, we are all scared about the stock market and now the US rating dropped.  Not good happening.
Going out to dinner tonight and then dancing.
Saw the Beach Boys last Sunday night....we had a great time....did a little gambling at the casino...came home with a very small profit...better positive than negative...
Reba in three weeks, school workshop the end of this month, Alan in September and my daughter's wedding in October.  My work and fun calendar is very full!
Life is good...much to be thankful for.
Hugs and love to all

Guess What, I was reading on twitter and Ali,"Alan's daughter" tweeted for her dad..and said "A Normal weekend for the
family". the photo had the girls with ole Dad.. It was so sweet.Love my twitter! haha!
They remind me of my grand girls. You can read and see the photos here on Twitter on this site..Great Family shots!

Sue full schedule hon, Take care and don't get stressed out. sounds nice! Sue we are so concerned about the market, just like you and others. I hate our rating in the US dropped from AAA to AA+. we need some good news soon! Jobs etc.

Stay cool everyone. Today it was 99 w a heat index of 110. I stayed inside all day. can't even do my flowers. Take care and Hydrate and use deet.. FL has a few cases of west nile virus. Take precautions and do not go out after Dusk or
before Dawn.Take care and enjoy your weekend! Jeri.

Jeri it would be fun to watch them cook my meal.
I have never been to one like that. Hubby did
when he was on a work trip.
Harriet when it is humid itis harder to take
the heat. Makes it feel hotter.
Sue I envy you being able to see the Beach boys
in concert. That is one group I would love to see
in concert.
In the 90 again today. Last night was the first time
I used the a/c . I turned it on just before I went to
bed.

Hot & Humid here the past couple of the days.  The humidity is what gets me - can't deal with it.  We went to the movies last night and when we came out you could almost see the humidity - it was stifling!
We saw 'Cowboys & Aliens'.  I liked it a lot.  It was a fun, escapist kinda movie - just a few hours away of thinking about all the 'junk' going on in the world.   And Daniel Craig ain't bad to look at either!

Thanks, Jeri - checked out the Twitter posts on this web site & loved seeing Ali's posts (& pictures).   That's so great!!

Sue, glad you are enjoying your summer - enjoy The Beach Boys.  I'm with you Elaine, that's one group I never got to see in person & would have liked to.

Have a good week everyone!

Kathy sorry you have so much humidity. I
find that hard to deal with . Glad you enjoyed
the movie.
I had a lazy Sunday watched golfing and the
Nascar race. Hot again today.

Hello from a wet wet wet Belgium,

Jerrie, aren't your Swedish guests Alan Jackson fans? I ask because Alan is singing in Sweden this wednesday.
I never was eating Japanees. Seems is delicious! I have to try it someday.

I started remodeling our livingroom today. A lot of work but it's raining all the time ... so what!
Enjoy the evening my friends...

Hello, AJ Friends. The hot weather is still with us. We were supposed to get a cool front dropping down Thursday to lower the humidity & we're still waiting on that to happen. Right now it's 91 with a heat index of 96. It has been worse so guess I should be glad for any improvement.

Am putting out a personal plea for all of you to request Alan's song. I put some voting threads on Music Discussion. It has dropped 2 slots on Mediabase & has only 69 spins today after having 120 yesterday. This may be a temporary blip on the radar screen but don't want this great song to fall even further. I know some of you in other countries can't vote. And Alan's Hometown Radio Station still isn't playing this song. I request it every day. May have to write to the program director because they decide what is played.

I may be preaching to the choir but we need radio requests & playing of the video:

Harriet I vote as much as I can. Watched the CMA
fest last night. Enjoyed most of it. Wish Alan would
have sang a song on his own not just with the Zac
Brown band.
Has cooled down a lot this morning.Went form the 90
to the 70 today.

Hi Guys!
Just back from weeks at MS & Nashville, wow what a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!! we had a wonderful time with our relatives from Sweden!!!!!!!!!!!! When we saw their rented car from airport, it was lined with Cowboy hats LOL they loved Country Music. I gave them some Alan Jackson CD's and "Mr B", we call him, an AJ Apron that says"Who says you can't cook it all" he loved it LOL.  , they speak English with a  Swede accent. so sweet.. they hugged and hugged us..
Got to see my Twins Yea!So sweet & big now! I can't keep up with them now, so much energy ha!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liz went to sleep in my lap lol
The reservations at Shogun turned out great!!!!!! we had wine and the cook tossed me extra rice ha! He put on a show for our 12 people all around. Great food and nice for a Party type atmosphere.. we had cups of sorbet later , so we had dessert too! I think I had salmon, some had lobster or steak, the boys had chicken, all with veggies & Rice..so nice for lots of people
Nice time, so tired, we went by the stone house, like a log cabin where they stayed ( free)and still are and it was so nice..It belongs to my son's wife's Sister . Loved the Country atmosphere of a cabin like house, it was big too and woods so pretty. So cool compared to Florida's heat wave.. It's actually cool at night there, not HOT like FL. MS is too.Love the cool nights.
we stayed in a hotel 2 room Suite in Franklin with my husband's Brother, Had a Blast talking old times. The Relatives from Sweden brought books of family history and all kinds of beautiful old photos of Hubby's Dad etc.. to look at. we made copies. we gave them computer tapes of our old family photos. They loved Alan's CD of Hits.. we had a blast..
I forgot to take my photo of Alan w/Me LOL at the M & G! They wanted to see it so much..I gave my daughter in law Alan's cookbook also, I had to order me another one today LOL. I want to order more things later but too tired today.
I am exhausted now, so much driving, now we go back to see Alan Sept 13.. I would love to stay for the later Street Party but my son & family will be here on vacation..

Just called the Lady at the Grand Ole Opry and she told me our tickets for Sept 13 include the George Jones Birthday celebration too Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alan & George wow! Jamey Johnson , Montogomery Gentry, Pam Tillis, The Oak Ridge Boys.and the one and ONLY,,,.Alan Jackson, Oh sorry, I already said that LOL YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tired later,  Missed you guys, but had so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see Alan and The Strayhorns!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got to Rest, Jerrie-MS
