Hi Harriet I am so glad you went to the Doctor, but I am so sorry that you have pneumonia. No it is not funny, but with the antibiotics and taking it easy, I hope when you go back it will be all gone. I was told to stay in the same temperature when sick. I don't knew if that would help you and it is hard to do.   Take Care  LOTS OF LOVE       nelle

Harriet, sorry to hear about the pneumonia.  I've had the shot and I've also had pneumonia in the past.  Please rest up and take care.  Definitely not funny!

Got home this afternoon from FL.  I had a "Good Time" and enjoyed visiting friends and AJ fans.

It was so warm in FL, and then coming home hit rain in Brunswick, GA and rainy here at home.  The temps are cooler too.  Sure do like FL weather.

Harriet, so sorry to hear you have pneumonia.  Take care of yourself!!

Sue & JeanAZ - what a great game!!  I was rooting for the Twins!

I just realized that this is my first October post!  Don't know why - I've been reading.  Guess I just didn't have anything to say!   LOL!
I can't remember who posted about reading 'The Shack', but I just finished it.  What a powerful book!

Went to the foot doctor yesterday - I've been having problems & a lot of pain in my right foot.  Bone spur on my heel & some tendon damage.  They won't give me a shot because it's too close to the achilles tendon & that could spell disaster.  For now I have heel lifts & icing it.  Hopefully that will do the trick.  I've always had problems with this foot - something I guess I have to live with - just follow the routine of icing & putting up my foot at the end of the day.

BHR - glad t hear that you got moved in.  Hope your feeling better - take your time to unpack.  It will get done.

Thanks for the concert reviews from this weekend.  I always go to YouTube after concerts & watch the videos.  Some are really good footage - some not so good (especially the sound).   But always exciting to watch AJ!!!

Hi to all AJ fans:
I have to share this story.  I was writing an email at work to some of the staff today.  I'm checking it over and the greeting was: Hi to aj all!  So you tell where my mind was.
Good thing I caught that or I would have taken some ribbing.
Harriet, glad to hear your surgery is over and you are doing well.  I waved to you as I flew into and out of Atlanta this weekend.
BHR, are you settled in Newnan?  Sightseeing any fun places?
Kathy that sounds painful.  Hope you get some relief.  That's my next book The Shack.  Popular read.
Jean AZ.....18 wins in the last 22 games get the Twins to New York!  Last game in the metrodome.  Seems strange to say that.   Been fun watching the new stadium  being built.
Great to see all the fans at the St. Augustine concert!  Had a wonderful time.  And now I'm back to reality.  It sure is fun to escape now and then.
Miss my little man.......
Take care all.

BLESS ALL YOU KIND FRIENDS FOR SHARING OUR JOY IN THE TWINS WINNING THE AL CENTRAL DIVISION!!  WHAT A THRILLING GAME, I WAS JUST A BASKET CASE WHEN IT FINALLY, MAGICALLY, ENDED.  JUST TO SEE THE JOY OF THE PLAYERS AND THE CROWD!  I FELT FOR THE TIGERS, THEY PLAYED SO HARD, AND NOW ALL YOU HEAR ON THE SPORTS PROGRAMS IS HOW THEY "BLEW A 7 GAME LEAD IN THE FINAL DAYS", THEIR MANAGER IS CLASSY MAN, AND TIPPED HIS HAT TO THE TWINS.  SOMEONE HAS TO LOSE OF COURSE, BUT OH, HOW SWEET IT IS TO WIN!  JASON KUBEL ONE OF OUR "BIG GUNS", EARNED A FOREVER PLACE IN MY HEART WHEN I SAW HIM AMID THE CELEBRATION ON THE FIELD HOLDING  HIS BABY GIRL AND TALKING TO HER. SHE LOOKED A BIT BEWILDERED BY ALL THE NOISE AND CHEERING.  NOW WE MEET THE MIGHTY YANKEES, AND I THOUGH I HAVE NO EXPECTATIONS, JUST HOPE AND PRIDE IN MY BOYS TO GET WHERE THEY ARE.  AND YOU KNOW WHAT???  YOU NEVER, EVER KNOW UNTIL THE GAMES ARE PLAYED.  ONE THING I DO KNOW, THEY WILL PLAY THEIR HEARTS OUT.  AND I'LL "BE THERE"!!  NEXT YEAR WE PLAY IN THE NEW OUTDOOR STADIUM, BUT THERE ALWAYS HAS BEEN A REAL MAGIC IN THAT MUCH SNEERED AT (BY OTHERS) METRODOME, "UGLY", " WORST BALL PARK IN BASEBALL", ETC, ETC.  BUT THAT FUNNY LOOKING PLACE HOLDS SOME WONDERFUL MEMORIES, GREAT BASEBALL, JOYOUS CELEBRATIONS, AND ALL...ON A TIGHT BUDGET!!
HARRIET, I DO HOPE YOU ARE RECOVERING FAST, WHAT A BUMMER.  BE SURE TO DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER, AND REST AS MUCH AS YOU CAN...HELP YOUR BODY FIGHT THE BUG.  THERE, MAMA HAS SPOKEN AGAIN.

ALL OF YOU, BE WELL, PLEASE, AND KEEP A GOOD THOUGHT FOR MY TWINS, WON'T YOU?

Hi everyone, I havin't had a chance to tell anyone on the board about my concert from Orilla, Ontario.   September 24, 2009 concert at Casino Rama, It was really cool that I had won the front row seats.  I was standing front of the stage for the show watching Alan Jackson singing all of his songs.  I got a lots of pictures on my camera.   I had order an Alan Jackson cook book and I like It a lot.  When I got the book Alan Jackson signed it.  I would like to let you know that I am back to work at Rheo Thompson Candie Store.  We are getting ready for Christmas. I had send some pictures to the fan club.
