DITTO from me also! Enjoy every Moment w/Alan and the StrayHorns! My family will be visiting boo hoo , or I would be there! Family comes first, however..and Grands hehe Jinx, perhaps Alan will come to FL in October, he has before! He
better come for my Birthday and Anniversary LOL j/k I just want to see a show where they talk to the Band etc.. about his songs etc.. I was at the Opry, but it was for George Jones.. Alan did a Fantastic job on "He Stopped Loving Her Today." I just like to hear Alan sing ALL songs but enjoyed Jimmy Dickens, he still has that knack for delivery of his jokes!

The Macon , GA Fans must be tired today. They wouldn't follow Alan would they LOL although they love him ,,,
write us your experince ladies. well what you can tell on here hehe!
Dizzy, I'm afraid my husband and I were so boring and no fun to talk to, but we don't talk that much except joking. we really were tired after driving there. Enjoyed just seeing you both..and talking w/Fans. Becky, I wish you had come up
to us, I did not notice you, or have a clue what you looked like, or I would have walked and said hello! Next time Perhaps.
So sorry I missed you. My husband and I have a blast just enjoying the show. I yell at LOT! and clap until I'm exhausted!

What a show!  What fun to see everyone!  We stayed at the Marriott and some of the fans came over and visited before the show.  We ended up just eating at the Vintage before the show.  Dizzy and Maize joined us along with Betty, Stephannie, Louann, Debbie, Maize, Dizzy, my friend Linda, and myself.  Then Dee and Bill came in after we finished.  They had already eaten.  I never did get to speak with Monty!  Did get my ticket autographed and AJ used my Sharpie.  Terry we missed you, sure hope you are feeling better.
Some of the crew came over to the Marriott after the show.
One special treat was that Mama Ruth and Denise were at the show.  Dizzy & Maize will have to tell you about that.
I think this was one of the best, (aren't they all?).
The ride down was beautiful through GA Lake Country, didn't realize GA had a Lake Country, but now I know.  Thanks to following Mr. Jackson around I have seen new sights and met new friends.  Plus the privilege of seeing and hearing the absolute best country music singer and songwriter of the century!!!!
After we walked to the venue, so glad we were there because of the weather and traffic, etc.  We saw Kimberleigh, Debbie, and Tammy.  Then after got to meet BHR and her sons.  It was awesome.
Craig Campbell opened for Alan, he sings Family and My Girl loves to Fish.  He was interviewed by an Australian t.v. show prior to the concert.
Alan had a police escort into the venue. We watched from our hotel room.  Could look out from our window and see the buses etc.  Was that ever cool.
Alan was in rare form, relaxed and talkative.  Some of the video backgrounds have been changed since I saw him in N. Charleston.  He did sing "Long Way to Go" and announced his new cd.
Those of you that went on to Huntsville, will have to tell us about it.
I am so glad I was able to go to Macon and look forward to the next one!

Well I am back from my vacation and trying to catch up on some rest from having such a busy vacation...We were visiting Mazie neice in Hendersonville and we all went to the Opry on Tuesday nite also saw Jeri and her hubby and sat and chatted with them till the show started...and my next trip was to find Laurel  Brooke and we found it but the gate was lock and we could not see a thing...The only thing is I think if Alan built high enough  he could see ole Sweetbriar from his new Sweetbriar....just a thought..... My next big thing was to get to Macon for the Concert to see Alan the man....and one of the highlights of my night was thanks to Kimberleigh she introduce me to Denise and Mama Ruth and I told Denise I had been following Alan since 1989..My first time to see him was on tv.... and then on the Opry....and who knows where else in the South.....
I met a lot of the fan club members like Sharron named them in her post.and when the show was over..It was pouring rain and thanks to Kimberleigh and Debbie they took Mazie and me to our car and then we had to fight the traffic for awhile...What a wonderful night...I forgot to mention Ann Friday came over and talk to me and the she came back and introduced he sons and one got a meet and greet and she also got to meet Alan also...It was a great nite. dizzy

Hello Guys! My family just left for  a while and come back by here later. I am worn out LOL, Those Grands are precious.

Oh Sharon what a wonderful time you got to meet so many Fans too! Must have been wonderful meeting so many Fans!
Sounds like Alan and the StrayHorns were in great form! So glad you had sucha wonderful time. I wanted to check this out earlier but had guests here.
Oh Dizzy, I'm so glad reading your review that Kimberleigh was so very precious to you Twins, and wonderful you got to Meet "Denise" and" Mama Ruth" How Wonderful! I am so sorry I didn't get to meet them.I always miss Denise , maybe someday. My family was here or I would have been there. Denise sounds so sweet and I'm sure they were delighted to meet You Twins who have seen Alan so many, many Times and are great Fans, throughout your being ill before. I'm so happy for you Both. You are dear sweet Ladies.I hope you get to meet Alan next..God Willing.. Your review was so sweet to read. So glad you met BHR and her son among the rest of the Fans . I have seen Sharon and she was the one who I went up to the stage with to get Denise's book signed. The guard helped me back but somehow I got back to my seat ! Doesn't Alan have some of the nicest Fans!!! I wanted to hear more about the show too hehe! Alan always sings wonderful and I'm sure since it was in GA is why Mama Ruth was there to hear her son! I'm so happy for them to be there and that you Twins got to meet them, it's just great! Sharon great review also, sounds wonderful!we stay in marriots, they have great beds ha, getting older
How was the show done there? Did Alan talk to the band etc..I was thinking when we drove back  from the Opry, you know those Guys really give a LOT! all the riding really makes me tired, imagine short trips for them & then perform so GREAT!  Dizzy you just have to meet him someday with Mazie! All of you.
BHR, so happy you and your son got to meet Alan, It will be a Great memory for you w/Your son and you will draw
much comfort from it, after having your father -in Law- so ill. I met Alan just before I lost my sweet Mom in MS and it really helped me to heal, remembering. Alan has this Presence about him that feels so comfy and like a long lost friend, you have known for years.
Sharon you are so right Alan is Indeed the Best Singer/Songwriter and Nashville should be honored to have him live there, I'm sure Newnan , GA is proud of Alan's accomplishments! He is Wonderful! I am proud to be a Fan and he is One whom I respect, after having read Denise's book too. I have  a feeling they will be together forever. family is so important to them it seems. The family is all wonderful from people I know who live in Nashville. The StrayHorns too!

Oh I would have loved to have been at that and the GA show and meet all of you wonderful Fans. So very happy we got to spend time with the Twins, they are great! God Bless You Dizzy, you were so lucky that Kimberleigh introduced Youall to "Mama Ruth and Denise" Lordy I think you might see Alan at times, as much as his family. I know you adore his work! I am so Thankful for you and happy for All Fans to meet. Great reviews Thanks!Take care YeeHaw!
